Happy Halloween, everyone! What are your favorite games to play for Halloween?
I love playing the Bloody Inn from Pearl Games
Mansions of Madness forever.
Dominion Nocturne, sometimes with Dark Ages (and lots of Rats). Happy Halloween! #NinjaStar
We played Abomination the heir of Frankenstain in the spirit of halloween 🎃 I love this game!
We played Abomination the Heir of Frankenstein. Can’t really get more Halloween themed than this!
A little bit about Skulls of Sedlec: Sedlec Ossuary (an ossuary is a room where bones are placed) is an actual place in the Czech Republic. Estimates are that tens of thousands are skeletons are buried there. In the ossuary, the bones are arranged "artistically," so that's why you're stacking skulls in the card game. It's all thematically related. If I'm not mistaken, the designer visited Sedlec when he was traveling through Europe and then entered a Button Shy contest where entrants were asked to design a game around a real-world place.
(Monique, the original solo version of SoS is called Monstrance and it's quick and fun. There's also a later expansion called Crown of Bones that I haven't tried yet. There are also expansions that introduce other characters such as poets, castle guards, merchants, etc.)
Since I'm on the topic of Button Shy games, I think you and Naveen would enjoy Circle the Wagons, a quick-playing two-player classic. I also like Sprawlopolis and Death Valley.
I've played Jekyll vs. Hyde a few times. It's such a thematcially and mechanically clever game. I have won as Dr. Jekyll but it is hard because Mr. Hyde just has to have one blowout round to pretty much ensure a victory. We always play twice, giving each player the opportunity to play both characters.
I love the positive energy y’all bring every time! Really puts me in a good mood. Thank you #NinjaStar
Appreciate all that y'all do for the board game community! You guys have so much positive energy and are a joy to watch. #NinjaStar
As always is great that you include reviews from older not always mainstream and newer games. Thanks for all you guys do. #NinjaStar
Dulce looks to me like a far more fun solo puzzle. Skulls of Sedlec is great also has a solo expansion.
Call to Adventure is always a goodie, it's basically role playing so it fits in nicely with the costume vibes #NinjaStar
Happy Halloween!!
Long time listener, first time caller! Thank you for your thoroughly amazing reviews and playthroughs!! #NinjaStar

Thank you for the fantastic energy and insights as always, you two! Been desperately wanting to try Yokai Septet (and Cat in the Box), so fingers crossed for this bundle! #NinjaStar
Love some trick taking. Grew up in a family that played Euchre on the regular so it's always been a love. #NinjaStar
So funny to hear you guys explain how to play Yahtzee. I played this with my parents and grandparents when I was a wee boy. That’s now almost 40 years ago. Geez, that makes me feel really old, although I am not yet 50.
You guys are awesome! Always love your videos. Thank you guys for giving back to the community and good luck everyone. #NinjaStar
#NinjaStar

@@jamesmorgan1967 Dungeon Decorators
@@jefflaflam7685 Thanks!
Always enjoy watching both of you. Can't wait for more on the Uwe series. #NinjaStar
Skulls of Sedlec is a great game. If you can get hold of the expansions I'd recomend them. Lots more variety in the scoring and a really good solo mode with some additional challenges. Would make a good solo segment for Monique!
These reviews are always so helpful when I'm trying to find new board games to purchase. Skulls of Sedlec looks interesting, I may have to look into that one. Thanks for the video! #NinjaStar
My favorite spooky game this year was Betrayal Legacy which we finished a few weeks back. #NinjaStar
Love watching you guys, and specially 2-player games! Jekyll vs Hyde looks so fun! #NinjaStar

My friends and I play games at bars all the time, Skulls of Sedlec looks like a must have! You've been doing so many giveaways lately, we are too blessed! #NinjaStar
Right there with you on Yahtzee, M-dawg... I played it once as a kid and never liked it; got into on BGA earlier this year and I have played it close to 500+ times since then. So addictive
Great video! I love having games available to be played during Halloween. Thank you for highlighting these fun looking games. I've added all of these to my wishlist! #ninjastar
Thanks for all your videos! Looking forward to trying some of these out soon. #NinjaStar
#NinjaStar sounds fun. Thanks for the giveaway!
When I was little, my aunt taught me this dice game called Yan. I wasn’t aware of Yahtzee until I moved to the US (9 years ago).
Yan was similar to Yahtzee, but it was more strategical. You had four columns: normal (3 rolls), Up, Down and “dry” (you score without re rolling). The rows are similar to Yahtzee, 1s, 2s, etc, straights, but also full house. The Up and Down column were interesting, because you could get stuck. You had to do the rows in asc or des order. The Dry column is also a cool decision. Sometimes you get an okay roll with your first roll, and you can decide to score that.
My aunt would just draw everything in a notebook, and she would fill pages and pages of Yan games… she played solo a lot. I was always impressed how fast she was able to add the numbers up 😂!
She was the same aunt that taught me fun card games, including many trick taking games.
I guess this is one of the fake accounts 😢
You just reminded me of how badly I’ve been wanting to play Fury of Dracula! Also really need Skulls of Sedlec, it would be great to take camping. Great video! #NinjaStar
My husband and I actually started playing more boardgames because of your channel!! Love that you are growing and offering so many different themes now! I've been trying to figure out the name of the wallet games for a while.. Now I know it's buttonshy. #NinjaStar
Love watching your guys' videos! keep it up! #ninjastar
Thanks guys. Really enjoy your videos. #ninjastar
#NinjaStar Thanks for your video! Very fun to watch. I’ve never tried any of these games before.
Absolutely love Skulls of Sedlec. Mythic Mischief has really hit the spot this year for the two of us here in our household. #NinjaStar

Happy Halloween! Thanks for the game suggestions. #NinjaStar
Gotta love some The Banishing talk. Fun game. #ninjastar
Thanks for the giveaway. Really appreciate the chance to win a couple new games. #NinjaStar
We had our Halloween game day on Saturday. Hey, I was put in charge of the candy bowl on Halloween! Our street in this small town is a popular trick-or-treat destination. The kiddos were awesome and we had a great time. So, no time for Halloween night games. On Saturday two of the games played were Creature Feature and Mysterium Park. Nice episode, thank you.
Need to get more plays of Yokai Septet in, haven't got it to the table for a while. #ninjastar
My partner and I just recently discovered Jekyll vs Hyde recently and we love it so much! We’ve played it 8 times and Dr. Jekyll has only won twice. How interesting to hear that other players find Mr. Hyde to be the more difficult character to play! This game is so clever.
Great video, as always. I also really appreciated the honest feedback on Dulce, because it looks so, so lovely.
#ninjastar
Happy Halloween! Being new to the hobby, I don't have specific Halloween season games, but I'm keen to try Horrified. It's fun to see a mainstream classic like Yahtzee be spoken of respectfully and not with derision. I've always loved that one. #ninjastar
Keep up the great work you guys do! #NinjaStar
Thanks for all the board games content! #NinjaStar
Happy Halloween you guys! Thanks for the great video! #NinjaStar
Cat in the Box is such amazing design! #NinjaStar
#ninjastar Planning to play two spooky favorites, Camp Grizzly and Grind House, this Halloween.
I really love your show and watching your playthroughs. I have bought several new games because of you. #NinjaStar
You introduced me to a few games I haven't heard of before. Good video. #NinjaStar
I was not familiar with Jekyll and Hyde. It sounds really light and enjoyable. Thanks for the video! #NinjaStar
Thanks for the #ninjastar giveaway!
Love the shirt Naveen! would love to know where you got it.
