If you get the heavy duty bellcrank spring, it will help your steering. Ultimately you want a 1/5 scale servo with a lot of torque (65kg or more), the Losi aluminum mount servo mount, Aluminum bellcrank, and the heavy duty spring for the bellcrank.
Cool. I have a new 1/5 servo and mount but after resetting the SVC and bumping the ESC to 7.4v, the stock servo works fine now some I'm gonna leave it until it dies
Hitec D845 is probably the best servo for the money. It's a 15t spline so the stock servo horn won't work. You'll need the Losi 5th scale servo mount as mentioned. I'm running a spektrum 9020 servo I got for free. I also running a max 5 ESC now. It's an amazing truck. It does uneven terrain at high speed very well. It's not great for big air jumps because of the rear 4 link straight axle donkey kick. You'll have to go heavier in the rear shock fluid to slow the rebound down so it doesn't unload too fast which can launch the SRR rear end over the front. It will not handle uneven terrain at high speed very well because of the thicker fluid. It will be harder to keep in a straight line in rough terrain on 8s.
Thanks, I ordered the servo mount and I'm going to try a NHX servo since its price is pretty good and the stock horn will fit. I just put 55wt in rear shocks but need to test it. I know what your saying, slow the suspension down and its good in some ways but bad in others. On my UDR, I found that adding a bypass shim worked really well. It slows the compression but not the rebound. I might try to come up with a similar setup for this truck.
@@rcilluminati26 yeah, you did an excellent video on the LX bypass shocks. It says the 1/7 shocks fit the SBR according to their site so they might fit your SRR as a secondary damper. The shaft diameter is a little small though and the shock body is smaller than stock SRR shock body in comparison so it might look disproportionate next to primary coil over shock. It would be interesting to see if the LX 1/7 shocks fit and function in a SRR/ SBR as Long Xue claims. I like what your doing on the channel, Tom. Keep up the good content.
Hi! At 10'30" "servo is very weak"... Same problem as the DBXL-E... Can you help me, Sir ?! What properties does the servo need to have? Witch model/manufacturer do you prefer? 🤔
There’s only one version of the SRR since it came out after the Baja Rey but it’s essentially the V2 It’s the same chassis as the v2 Baja but shorter wheelbase and larger tires.

Is this the V1 or V2 Rock Rey?
