I would never have thought that this was equivalent to a curvy copter! I will need to add one to my own collection and try to solve it. I did love your previous Crazy 4x4 challenges and nearly managed both myself!
Thank you for this video. I was looking at mine wondering how I was going to solve it as some sort of dodecahedron, because that's what it is after all, right? Getting me to think of it a curvy copter will help immensely. I see it now. Genius (on your part). Thanks.
The thing about the copter cube, is that the shapeshiftig jumbling only really scrambles the puzzle if you force-turn the puzzle. Because otherwise most moves are blocked by the actual physical pieces and you can't really scramble it all that much. However if you force turns, that are only blocked by a couple milimiters of plastic, you can scramble it much better, which in the end it's still solvable by using the jumbling 180 turns, but it's more fun identifying the problems.
Parity isn't really that complicated. When you encounter a parity issue on say a 4x4, you aren't encountering parity. You're encountering a parity error. All puzzles have parity. If you google the word you'll see that Parity is simply the fact of being even or odd. A 3x3 has odd parity. a 4x4 has even parity. Everytime you turn a layer on a 4x4 you are swapping pieces. To avoid a parity error you have to swap pieces with the same number of swaps as the swaps used to scramble it. Which you can't figure out by number of turns. Anyway Parity issues are simply caused by trying to solve something with an odd parity, with an even number of swaps or vice versa.
Wait, isn't it identical to a Curvy Copter Plus? It's not a master curvy copter, it just splits the petals into two, just like this one! I'm not even sure there is a "master curvy copter", but there might be.
Have you by chance seen the Skewby Copter Plus, and if so, might you consider getting one? Looks like a beautiful puzzle and an interesting challege as it combines the best of two types of puzzles (skewb and copter), and for a custom puzzle, it's a very good price. I just got mine and now it awaits assembly. twistypuzzles.com/forum/viewtopic.php?uid=10832&f=15&t=31469&start=0

I love these videos of comparison between puzzles. Congratulations for these analyzes.
Thanks for an awesome introduction to this puzzle, it helped a lot ( as you always do). Super, yes.

Thanks for doing this one! If I recall I actually requested this one.
Those two are equivalent to the Curvy Copter Plus, not as much the regular

I can't wait for the collection video
So close....
SuperAntoniovivaldi yay
is this like a Curvy Copter Plus?
Superantoniovivaldi, I was curious if you ever saw my question about parity and what truly causes it.
My question is about 2-3 videos back.

I think that the mechanism of crazy comet is exact same as curvy copter +. Isn't it?
Do you know LanLan has mass-produced something like the Crazy Comet?
Is it impossible for a puzzle to have split corners? do they stiop being corners? I had never considered it! :o
Anything's possible, but most master versions of puzzles add layers to edges and centers.
Like a curvy copter plus
Sir please make its clear tutorial i am still fail on it and puppet v1 and v2 and ghost pyraminx

It is nearly identical, since the cc+ has external bandaging
I bet all three puzzles are edge turners
