It would be great if Canva could add layers like they do with the audio options. Where you can add certain elements at different points in the videos for certain places in the video. It's a pain at the moment as the only way to do this it by splitting the video.
I am not sure of that. The way to test that would be to upload a 4K clip and make sure your document has the 4K dimensions. Remove/swap the BG then try to download and see what happens.

I guess you could a make video stickers by creating a custom output,in a video editing software,e.g Magix(Sony Vegas) or Filmora(Wondershare) & then rendering a looped video/gif.Effects could be used to customise the look of the video.Give it a go.Thanks.
The thing that will be most resource intensive (for your computer) will be the video editing. We use recent M1 Macbook pros, but there are lots of other options out there. Look for 16 MB of RAM and a good processor.

Hey there 👋 Canva doesn't offer the ability to do chroma key at the moment. Whilst it's true that they do have video placeholders using green screens in their library. Maybe they are working on this functionality, and it will be a thing in the future 🤔 Let's hope so 🤞

Hey Jeramie, If you have proper lighting for your set up, Canva shouldn't struggle too much removing your green BG. It's not gonna be as pro as if you used another (more expensive) software to do it like Premiere Pro (though Premiere requires quite a bit of tweaking to get chroma keying right). So I'd say yes, but I don't know what level of perfectionism you are looking for 😊

Can you please show how to work with Canva stock images/videos that have "green screens" IN them. They look like they should work like Smartmockups but don't. The background eraser doesn't work for them either because the green screen is not a background element.
These videos with a green screen in them are not particularly made to work in Canva. My guess is that they are part of one of the stock video libraries Canva has acquired or works with. But let’s hope Canva figures out a way to let us remove that green BG someday. Some sort of chroma key effect with the color picker maybe?

Ideally, it’s best to keep them short.
What we do is to produce the graphics in Canva and add them to our videos with another video editing software 😊

Video BG Remover works on the mobile version of Canva too. So if you can import your GIF in Canva, you should be able to get rid of its BG.

I havent' seen a better background remover than Canva.

Can you please show how to work with Canva stock images/videos that have "green screens" IN them. They look like they should work like Smartmockups but don't. The background eraser doesn't work for them either because the green screen is not a background element.
These videos with a green screen in them are not particularly made to work in Canva.
My guess is that they are part of one of the stock video libraries Canva has acquired or works with.
But let’s hope Canva figures out a way to let us remove that green BG someday. Some sort of chroma key effect with the color picker maybe?
Is there a way to remove some parts of the video like you do it with image background removal tool?
Or that I know of. We do not have access to the brushes for video 🥹
