Save the green ribbon from around the pillows to take to the paint store. It would be a green that would be in the correct color tone and you might have a few choices from the darker to the lighter colors. Love what you have done so far.
Abby, get a shepherds hook for your birdfeeder and place it near a window that you can look out of and watch them. Dark green nightstand would be very pretty. Girl with determination equals success, and boy, were you determined to get that door open, lol! Good job! Your mom is the cutest! The kitties are really growing, and they are so sweet. Thanks for sharing. Anytime you go shopping and want to take us along, I am here for it, lol! Have a beautiful, blessed night. 🙏
Your bedroom…paint the night stand deep green yes! But you need a darker blanket on the end of your bed. A darker blanket/throw will balance and anchor everything. Love the dark pillows and the light center pillow.
Yup, I agree.... consider painting the nightstand dark green for a classy looking contrast! 👍😊. You might watch this video for a different perspective. I feel a pop of dark green is needed.
I think the cabinet is on the pink side and the bedspread is more a yellow tone. Get a bunch of the color green sample cards and lay them on the pillow. You will know which ones will work and which ones will not. Then you can choose from those greens as to what you would like to paint the cabinet. You are doing a fantastic job with the house.
If someone just tuned into your channel they would never believe that you were such a hard working renovator😀 You are such a girl now. You need to buy or borrow a roof rake and remove the snow load and future melting water source from that roof. Also dig the snow down from your patio door sill. You don’t want water leaking thru. Happy to know your tub is working and you are enjoying it. I think you need a bigger back door mat, the floor looked slippery and you don’t want water damage.
Abby...I have the old shed's with sliding doors. If you want to be able to get into them in the winter (Wisconsin here) you need to clear a trench under the door along the building so they don't freeze to the ground. Know this doesn't help you this year but hopefully the info will help in coming years.
I'd get a rug, big enough to go just under the edge of bed and nightstand and cover the open area in the room. I think a plain white duvet cover would make the bedding look more polished with the blanket and pillows. Definitely a bed skirt.
SUGGESTION: for bed pillows - bring your duvet blanket up over your sleeping pillows and then your decorative pillow in front. This will accomplish 3 things: it will carry the color of the duvet all the way from the bottom to the head of the bed, giving a more cohesive looking continuity and also cover the sides of your sheet for a neat, finished look and lastly it will draw attention to and showcase the decorative pillows. Hope this is helpful. Good luck.
Sorry you must struggle so to get that shed open to get your lights/lamps, BUT in the background - oh my- your house glows in the snow and that streak of sunset on the horizon is breathtaking❤❤
Birds make a hot mess where they eat, you won't want it on your front porch. Right outside the sliding door would be lovely sit and watch. Build risers with the extra lumber you have & they will fit perfectly in your custom cabinet. Your bedroom looks beautiful. I agree, you can find the perfect green for the bedside cabinet, which looks great there (take a pillow with you & match it). This was such a fun video!!!
So fun! Your small bed pillow can be the only seasonal pillow you need if you sew various seasonal covers for it. That would free up your storage space. Your kitties are so much fun to watch! ❤ I Love seeing all the things come together ❤️!
Sunset is beautiful! I would just get/make seasonal pillow covers easier to store and cheaper, just a thought. Your home is looking awesome, so exciting to be decorating.
For your bed I would definitely do the pillow shams but put new full pillows in them and layer your bed! Cute matching sheets even a green matching your pillows and a plush blanket green tone then your duvet your throw needs to be darker like the 2 pillows. Maybe try a rug under the bed. A nice lamp beside the bed. I love doing bedrooms! And you can never have too many pillows! ❤❤
What a nice bird feeder gift you got Abby. Will look perfect in the back yard to view variety of birds throughout the year. Those collapsible laundry basket are great idea and a space saver while not use. Bedroom is coming together nicely, end of bed storage bench willl come in handy. Looks great too!! 😊
You need sheets to match your duvet cover. I don't use duvet covers nor pillow shams anymore. it's easier when you get older, lol! I have a white down alternative comforter & use white sheets. I interchange quilts during the seasons for the top of the comforter and & put a throw blanket on top of the quilt. Love quilts! I also love HomeGoods. I'm so glad you found so many nice things! I would get a dark green lampshade for your lamp.
Love your green "POP" idea to match the pillows. I think a runner type rug along the side of you bed and in front of the newly painted furniture piece would be nice too, it could match or combine the blanket look. You're doing so WONDERFUL and it's nice to see you having the time and fun just making your house your HOME. Enjoy!
Love that deep green for the night stand. Maybe paint the lamp a pale green. It is so nice to see all your work turning your place into a home coming to fruition. Can not wait to see the countertops put in.
This is all absolutely gorgeous❣️ It’s so great to see your vision coming together and yes, being able to see your whole house 🏡 color scheme in the back of your car is awesome 😎! Thanks for sharing the scenery with us too! It’s very special and inspiring 🌅
I love seeing you & your mom together. ❤ Green is one of my favorite colors! You can have the green color matched at the paint store. Great bench at the end of your bed! Isn't it fun to check things off your list for decorating purchases??!! It was good to see you & your place again!! 😊💕
Tie the ribbon on the pillow. I think you need a sconce for the vanity. They have cute ones with battery lights. Maybe a floor lamp on the other side of bed, if not using a night stand. Yes green cabinet! Pillow covers for changing seasons. Need a rug.
SUGGESTION: I think a large Home Goods right underneath the bed and a bed skert would really elevate your bedroom and painting the nightstand a deep green with gold knots/handle would look amazing.
❣I was caught up in your enthusiasm over your shopping finds; and working together with your sweet and helpful mother was just awesome and fun to see. Great video. Your house is amazing! What an accomplishment!❣
Good points. I was thinking about a dust ruffle (bed skirt) last week. I agree that either a painting or a collection of pictures/photos/ decorative decor (think ,mini wall gallery would be nice). And the rug? Definitely! Another pillow with a print would be a nice contrast to the green pillows.
I would choose one of the lighter colors, in your new blanket, for the paint on the nightstand. Also, I would sew pillow covers, that you can switch out for the different seasons… they won’t take up as much room, as all the different colored pillows.
An ice skating pond -- that sounds like a fun tradition! I love how you embrace the winter (similar to what we do in Minnesota) and wish you well in your splendid "new" house!
You may already know, but if your feeder is going on a pole, don't forget the baffle. We have raccoon baffles on our poles in the backyard here in Maine, and keep the poles far enough from the trees to prevent squirrel/chipmunk jumping. The place looks amazing!
My cats live all over my house and sleep with me all snuggly at night. We just gotta! ❤ And, maybe lamp shopping is next! Your bedroom looks soooooooo nice. Good job!
You made great choices, and your side table will be beautiful done in the darkest green. I am happy for you to have your beautiful house 🏠 almost completed. You have done well for yourself, Abby. ❤ sj
I’m not sure , but I think the nightstand might be a bit too tall While laying down with the light on , It may end up being too bright on the eyes Typically a bedside table is about the same height as the top of the mattress
Wow! Look at all the snow! Might want to get a bigger entry rug to catch the snow when you come in since you don’t have a tiled mud room. The lamp is cute. You can clean it up and possibly refresh the paint if needed. Rewire kits are cheap as well. Simple DIY and you can record it!
A bird feeder on your front porch may attract squirrels. They tend to gnaw away wood on my back deck, and have definitely become a nuisance here. Gomer makes a nice accent to your bedroom’s color scheme! You can also find accent pillow covers in a variety of fabrics to change with the seasons. Today’s vlog was a treat!
Do the Green girl! Will be gorgeous with the wood in the floor as well. Like your mom says, watch which shade. Green brings the woodsy natural colors of trees, etc. A very earthy, calming color.
When you paint the nightstand dark green (LOVE THEGREEN), get knobs that are a bronze/antique gold color to match/blend with your bed frame. It will look planned. 😜
Abby I made my list for the year of projects...but some homeowner ideas for you... get the snow away from your back door.. once it starts melting it may flood into house. As for the bird feeder, my local deer love mine... the further away from house the bird feeder is.. the easier it is for them to get...the house is coming along beautifully and I hope you are keeping warm...
I loved the opening scene as you entered the house today! I love your big, beautiful, wooden antique piece right when you walk in the front door! It can be a "statement piece" that really speaks to the character of your home! The dark wood blends in with your lighter wood stained windows and door..
Abby everything you got looks great! I really agree that the chest will look good painted the dark green color, with that picture on your phone the paint store should be able to match it. I love baskets for storage, and they come in all sizes and shapes. It's so fun to see what you're doing. I'm glad you checked your plants to make sure if they were poisonous to the cats. The cats love being indoors with you❣️ May I make a suggestion about the bird feeder - it will be great out back by the patio doors, and that would be a good place inside to put a cat tree for the fur babies to watch the birds. Happy shopping.......
Very enjoyable video, love all your decorating. Loving your winter wonderland views from the house. The house is very peaceful. I am sure you'll have lots of birds and willd life passing through the yard.
Abby I live in Ontario Canada and I’m Five hrs and eight minutes away from Cornwall is up by Ottawa. We Love ❤️ the four seasons here we have four or five inches of snow but today it was melting a bit. I love ❤️ snow even though I’m getting older about 81 and still shovel a little. From New Hamburg Ontario Canada.
Hello from Utah !!! You can make a roof snow remover that you and your sister can use to pull the snow off the main places....Many have had great success with it. You purchase long pvc pieces and attach with square knots thru drilled holes in opposite sides on the pvc. Each of you take a pole, length of pvc should be long depending on your roof height. They are flexible, wont break and reach as high as you can at the same time and pull the nylon through the base or as close to the base of the snow depth. Ive seen people using them at homes at ski resorts online. You might too. Id give it a try, after all, you just finished your home with Jay and your dad! the skies the limit. Good luck and cant wait to see your kitchen counter tops as well. Your choice I saw will be very beautiful with everything else in site. Have a great day and thanks for sharing with all of us!
I’m a painter. In the bathroom, the painting you have is almost there, but the muted colors are too drab. The serene theme is nice. Look for a similar feeling but neutrals a bit more vivid.
It's coming together so beautifully! I noticed that snake plant in your last video and wished again that I could make one live. I can tell by looking that you could probably re-pot it and break it into two or even three and it should keep growing. One of those snake plants would look great at the taller end of the shelf in the downstairs bath.
Abby my thoughts would be to look at cube organizers they come in different sizes colors, patterns. But I use them everywhere and they work great. Lamps you will just have to look until you find the right thing that you like. From here it looks like they should be taller and maybe not white. But in the end it is what works for you. I buy my cube organizers at the dollar Tree, I have no idea what you have that is comparable. We live in different parts of the USA.
Looks so good - you were talking about pillows. You can buy just the covers and not have to store pillows just covers. I keep two pillow covers on at a time. Looks so good!
Hello dear Abby 🙋🏻♀️The bedroom looks lovely 💓❤️green is most pretty colour choice l wish you get a lovely area rug to go with that decor ~ the sitting bench is gorgeous too
Paint that night stand a shade similar to your pillows. It will look fine. The to could just be pained green and leave the bottom the way it is. Or top a dark brown for contrast.
Abby, your mother is so cute. I love her hair. Dark green on the nightstand would be great. Maybe a white lamp for your make up table and the brass lightbulb looking lamp on your nightstand once it’s painted green just a thought.
A dark green Lamp or shade in your bedroom on your side table would bring together. Keeping your side table the color it is mean it could be changed out and used in orther places in your house.
Save the green ribbon from around the pillows to take to the paint store. It would be a green that would be in the correct color tone and you might have a few choices from the darker to the lighter colors. Love what you have done so far.
Very smart idea 😊
Brilliant!
I'm surprised that a sofa company hasn't offered to sponsor a video for you. What an opportunity for them!
Abby, get a shepherds hook for your birdfeeder and place it near a window that you can look out of and watch them. Dark green nightstand would be very pretty. @@melissaciswhoibe9183 Oh I agree! That sweet girl could get an Olympic Medal for determination! 🙏❤️
Decorating could be your new RUclips content, maybe some DIY?
I just collect pillow covers to change with the seasons, I use the same two pillows.
❣👍❣
I do the same!
Your bedroom…paint the night stand deep green yes! But you need a darker blanket on the end of your bed. A darker blanket/throw will balance and anchor everything. Love the dark pillows and the light center pillow.
I agree! Dark blanket that matches the pillows!
Yup, I agree.... consider painting the nightstand dark green for a classy looking contrast! 👍😊. You might watch this video for a different perspective. I feel a pop of dark green is needed.
She also needs a bigger planter for her snake plant:) and to finish the room an area rug!!
Yes I've been waiting for area rugs!
Wasn't bothered by your effort to get in the shed. I was busy being amazed by how your house was lit up with the sunset in the background. ❤
A bed skirt would be good.
Yessss 😂
it would make the bed look complete
You will need a roof rake to keep the heavy load from damaging the rafters.
I disagree , 150 years of snow load and no damaged rafters ,why would that start now ?😊
Try seeing what that green ribbon would look like on that white front pillow. The ribbon from the green pillows.
Yes on painting the little stand a deep green
I buy pillow covers when i want a change ,your bedroom is looking good ,i love the floors.
That’s what I was going to tell her, too. Thank you. Save room in that bench storage.
If someone just tuned into your channel they would never believe that you were such a hard working renovator😀 You are such a girl now. you got that right//water is no joke//
It would take less space (and money) if you just got seasonal pillow covers for the pillow on your bed
Darker blanket & print accent pillow.
I am beyond thrilled! Wasn’t expecting this 🙌🙌🙌. Please tell Jay we miss him and you have nothing to apologize for! Just be PROUD 💞
Painting the nightstand a dark green is a good idea. Ollie's has great rugs for warmth and 1 tall lamp by your bed would be better. 😊
Abby...I have the old shed's with sliding doors. If you want to be able to get into them in the winter (Wisconsin here) you need to clear a trench under the door along the building so they don't freeze to the ground. Tall slim lamp maybe green shade
Me too, what a great family ❤

Your matching pillow shams to the duvet would be great instead of the white pillowcases, would elevate the entire look. imo
Your mom is a real hero! Nice going!
Sunset is beautiful! I would just get/make seasonal pillow covers easier to store and cheaper, just a thought. Your home is looking awesome, so exciting to be decorating.
Can't wait for counters to come! Then you can really organize. The end of the bed bench is so LUX!
Perhaps invest in a roof rake with expandable handle to get some of the snow off your roof because the snow build up gets pretty darn heavy.

Paint your nightstand to match your throw pillows.
A bird feeder on your front porch may attract squirrels. They tend to gnaw away wood on my back deck, and have definitely become a nuisance here.
