A tip I picked up: don’t sleep on navigating via the waterways as a solo. The shoreline rarely have AI and it’s a great way to zip around a map while staying low key.
As a solo player I really like Smoke Grenade for exfil, it’s so nice to mask your run for the heli. It also confuses the AI & can help you escape in tricky situations
I agree with this, it also helps when you run into one of those situations were every corner you turn another AI is after you, just drop a smoke and leg it to safety
My first year DMZ, I was totally hooked on these stims, and as my game progressed and became more aggressive, I’ve tend to take a take favor to dead silence whenever approaching enemy squads
As a solo, I have a preference for saving the .50 gs, an expedite 12 or Bryson with attachments, or a decent sniper. The utility against armored AI with the ammo efficiency is nutty for a solo. That and the 1 taps without having to worry about the headshot every time. Sometimes i just have to clear something as fast as possible because someone is near or I'm taking a shortcut when somoene is chasing. Can pick up an M4 or RPK pretty much anywhere in the match.
Thermite lethal gang. Quick, quiet, clears a helicopter drop in if you place it well, clears shield guys. Just as good as a semtex, and it doesn't tell anyone around that you're there unless the ai shoot at you.
I havent even dropped into Warzone yet. Spent time grinding camos in MP and now im getting hooked running solo in DMZ. Im really hoping they open up a duos or solo server in the future. I dont mind the 1v2s but 1v3s with Lvl2 AI around is tough but we dont play dmz cause its easy I guess. Thanks for the content
yeah it's particularly tough when you run into a 4 stack playing dmz exactly as they would Warzone. that is grab a hunt and just go after you. I literally had guys chase me twice from the far east side of the map all the way to Al-Safwa Quarry. The first time i went so far i forgot i had a bounty running, started looting and they caught me. the second time i just circled the entire map until the timer ran. I even stopped, refuled, ran in the station and grabbed two gas cans and got back in the truck and kept going. timer ran out without needing to refuel but i was like, "you're not getting me. I got a good Taq i want to extract with."
Ya for real most of the time one dude just runs off like a psycho and takes off.. then its us two against agang of threes and alotta times two squads will make one team and ur fucked. Wheres the solo matches at. The devs want to act like they forget they have solo for almost every game mode. Zombies, warzone .. most likely we will have to wait until the games obsolete
A suggestion for solo exfil, do a hostage rescue mission. You get your own personal extract. When you get to the building the hostage is in there will be a few windows that you can see through. You can shoot the AI through these windows so that you only have to fight 1 or 2 when you enter.
Spotter scope is a must for solo. You can track players across half the map from a high point. This lets you completely avoid them or hunt them strategically. Throwing knife with dead silence is way too much fun for taking out teams in buildings
I primarily solo in DMZ, and i use stims almost exclusively, with the exception of the spotter scope once in a while, if i want to snipe more. It's also just handy for getting a fix on enemies, both AI and Players, long before getting into their range. Especially with the AI changes in mid-season update the other day. Throwing knives are nice as a solo, because you can kill the first few enemies without any gunshots. So the two+ teams closest to you have zero clue which direction you've gone. LOTS of people are now making a bee-line for the nearest spawn points, especially teams of 3 fully kitted out, they're just hoping to hit solo/duo or people without full gear and mow them down.
I used to swear by the throwing knife and spotter scope. Honestly though, after watching one of your other solo videos, I tried your gear, stem, semtex, etc. For truth, I can't tell you how many times that saved my ass. So now those are all I ever go in with. Thank you for the tips. Keep em coming.
My favourite nonlethal choice for Solo is the Smoge Grenade, it breaks line of sight from any and all AI, letting you restock on plates or make a quick getaway. As for least favourite areas, i have to agree with your choices, caves is a hellhole even as a squad.
Thanks again for the great content. As someone who can only hop on for an hour or two after work, your videos are really helpful for making progress. Keep it up!
I find using a ghillie suit helps tremendously with keeping stealth against players. AI will always see you but players can walk right by you without seeing you at all.
I always play solo and I find that having a sniper with a silencer in my loadout helps me out a lot. Really works well for clearing out AI before I enter an area. I also use a stim and a semtex and I find that semtex is the best to use for clearing out strongholds when AI have riot shields. I think the most important attachment on a gun is a silencer. Someone told me to try it and it makes a ton of difference
A throwing knife can be used over and over and over. Helps when trying to be stealthy. I took down handful of ai's in close proximity of other operators. My heart was pounding being so close and undetected. And it saved me in situations with the blue armored AI... that knife takes down their health alot
Use these tips. Play it like Metal Gear solid or old school Ghost Recon. And remember, Almost any AI with line of site can see you. Though he uses stim, i find the spotter scope is super useful to avoid fights. And that's a big point. It's not Warzone. Avoid any fight possible. silent sniper is very useful
Even with the new field upgrades, I feel like the muni box is still the go-to. I tried the anti-armor rounds and I'm a supper aggressive solo (hunting squads most of the time), not worth it... especially if you're out of ammo, a single mag won't really help you while +40 sniper ammo and +210 AR ammo is a life saver. Worst luck: Hydroelectric (especially the bridge area) and Al Sharim Pass on top of the hill. The only time I go there is to get the juggernaut or if I got a HVT/Squad kill contract that goes there. Caves is not too bad if you stay above, on top of the mountain. The village there is though though and the exfil is my least favorite. Observatory, you can go and chill for a while with an helicopter, land on top of the highest point, there's a ladder but it doesn't connect at the bottom, so you're safe.
Don’t know if you’ll see this but in response to the question at the end: I primarily listen to anything under the metal umbrella and I’ve been listening to Lorna Shore non stop since their new album Pain Remains.
Have only dived into DMZ with one friend the past 2 or 3 weeks, nothing but MP before that. Having a lot of fun, still learning a lot as well. Videos like this are great, even if I don't follow exactly what you recommend, it definitely at least gives me new ideas to test out.

Absolutely love the vids, Geekseh! I just started watching your stuff a few days ago and I am shocked that you don't get more viewership! So from one random guy on the internet to another... You're doing fantastic, my guy, keep it up! For anyone who's curious, Geekseh, you mentioned that the Air Supremacy (3 SAM sites) mission isn't going to happen solo, but I wanted to mention that it definitely is possible! I just ran it solo a few days ago, but I'll admit that it was a little difficult. The timing works since SAM sites stay on for so long, but you just need a vehicle. I kept running other missions until I got 3 SAM sites kind of close to each other (and by kind of close I mean something like one in Quarry, one in Oil, and another just a little further NE). When I saw that, I grabbed an ATV since they're so quick and maneuverable, a gas can (which I didn't actually even need tbh), and went for it. It was a little tough and I'll admit I got a little lucky, but... YOU CAN DO IT. Just check on loading in and if there are 3 at least on the same half or third of the map, you're golden!
1:40 Fun fact: The “Canadian guy” is actually real-life US Marine sniper and reconnaissance man Rudy Reyes, who portrayed himself in the amazing HBO series Generation Kill. It’s so strange they made him a Canuck in the game!
As a hardcore solo player(don’t have friends that play and now I feel odd playing with others), I ALWAYS take the spotter scope(no scope glare using it and the thermal helps. Even if you don’t get a red dot you can catch players, and AI partially hiding behind cover), I agree on Semtex, and I take a ammo pack. I also only take my primary weapon and just pick up a secondary which is usually a twice upgraded RPK.
Ahkdar Village is another spot to give a wide berth to. AI are simply endless there and can hit you from numerous unexpected angles. You will eventually get overwhelmed if you go here. Cemetary can get pretty intense as well. Oddly, the city in the upper right of the map is typcally the most chill spots.
I’ve been “trying” to grind DMZ solo, but have the worst luck and have yet to extract haha. Honestly I appreciate the tips and I’ll implement them right away. I’ve been jamming out to a lot of whiskey blues channels on YT lately, nice chill music.
watching this in December, as I'm doing some dmz missions for one of the reward operators before Warzone 3 launches. I've been listening to creed and Third Eye Blind recently. Love the 90's!
Totally agree! Always seem to die when trying to extract at observatory and Sawah village the flooded part always seem to die when using the buy station on the roof at Sawah!
"...and you're stuck in that 2-year-long animation of reloading an LMG" LMAO! That hella got me! haha. As far as what I've been listening to, I love podcasts and right now my favorite podcast is Pod Mortem. They dissect horror movies and it's really entertaining!
great vid man, I watched the whole thing. I just started dmz solo, so I die a lot, I tend to want to attack anything moving. I gotta get used to just passing the AI by, and stay on mission.
The Dead South and The Devil Makes Three - been binging a lot of their music lately. Thanks for the tips, some I already use but still a useful video overall.
I'm one of the ten tat stayed! XD I've been gaming to "The Dirty Heads" a lot resently. Super chill sublime/stoner band vibes they give out. Either that, or i got some dope EDM (Dubstep) playing. Keep up the good work man!!!
I did do air supremacy mission solo, and I am just an average skilled player. You will be surprised what you can pull off with enough solo experience. That said, great video, and thanks for it!
Thanks for this upload. I panic a lot during intense play and I can't stomach those really loud and shouty guide videos. As you asked, I mostly listen to old school grunge; Faith No More, Pearl Jam. Not many current bands tbh, although I do like Greta Van Fleet and Wet Leg have caught my interest too.
Sorry bro, i'm going old skool and got Gunners and Foos on my playlist Great content as always, looking forward to seeing more. As an old time FPS gamer, getting back into something like COD your content provides great insight! Cheers
Very informative! It’s been years since I’ve been wanting to play COD. Finally got it this month. Soloist at heart, but I’m leaning as I go. Obviously there’s so many questions I need answers to, but it’s fun slowly getting it. Right now I’m just DMZing getting my coins. Still having trouble getting the gist with weapons though. I’m happy I’m trying something new. Super fun!
Thank you for the content! As for the question at the end of the video; I enjoy listening to some Ludacris when playing DMZ. Rollout especially works for DMZ and gets me hyped in just the right way where I’m energized and not sluggish, but not distracted.
Since PUBG came out I played a lot of it til WZ 2.0 came out but I cant enjoyed it with this crossplatform freak of nature terminator loaded. I just want to explore the Al Mazstress map quitely, enjoy the sound, nature, scenes etc... with no brainer killing bots and thats it. And I just discovered DMZ just yesterday and guess what? Your video is a God sent. Thank you and please help people like me with no tactical skills or so whatever but I really want this to be my main game. Your video is very notrious fundamentally equip for people like me with no idea what this mode is. Keep it up!
Good job Geeks - DMZ is a nice break from Tarkov (I may or may not come back once the wipe happens) and I appreciate your tips. Music? I am drawn to the 80s/90s metal - Metallica / Slayer / Megadeth etc :) Greetings from Cowtown eh?
Dude I understand why people love tarkov but don't feel like they can commit to it. You feel so behind within a week of wipe. Do what you want I'll be making content for both
1000% agree with your munitions box. The rest I'm attempting to learn on. Throwing knife is really good if you ran out of weapons to use I suppose. I haven't been there yet it's easy to keep some contraband. You could even do solo runs to grab contraband weapons and exfil quickly to keep your guns up
Usually, I listen to hard rock / metal music but recently I am listening to Sickick - Gomd on repeat ;) It has something to it, some kind of tribal vibe that really plays with me ;) And great vid, btw, played dmz twice, will try few more times today.
There are way too many available stims to loot. Go in with a spotter scope then stow it and run stims as soon you find one. Easy indisputable argument.
The truck is a good idea around extraction points that are open. Another idea is to extract at a cliff points (WHEN YOU CAN), where the only way of entry is from the back. That way you only need to focus on the rear entry, unless people are gliding in ofc which is rare imo
Buds I have been jamming a lot of lofi *insert hip hop artist* there's a playlist called childish gambino Japan on RUclips.....trust me brah trust meee
Tip on getting stuck in reload animations. Switching your weapon and switching it back is often a quick way to get out of it, not sure if you can cancel it with a melee attack or not but i believe you might be able to.
Awesome content man! I listen to EDM artists like Subtronics, Level Up, Ray Volpe, Svdden Death, and Kai Wachi. Super heavy dubstep, but it is solid workout music.
These tips are very helpful and informative, I'll be definitely trying some of them out. Also one of my favorite dubstep artists that is not well known is TheFatRat. I would highly recommend listening to Mayday, it's an awesome song.
For solo plays I like running the throwing knife. I also carry three weapons in. ISO Hemlock suppressed atom or piercing 300 bo, FSS , any good sniper. Plenty of self revives that’s the first thing I gone hunting for. I also try to avoid operators but sometimes you just can’t so carry uavs on you. I also like carrying a resupply box. Just remember running away to fight another day is always the best option.
Stay positive when you run solo I didn't mention that. You have everything stoked against you. Also I'm not a prog metal fan but I can appreciate the musicianship
One last thing, you spoke gospel when you were talking about the caves and the observatory exfils. As a solo player you are pretty much signing your death warrant going there. It can be done but I won't even try it anymore without a vehicle and heavy armor, a stem or two, and a self revive are also suggested.
For solo play i use flash or smoke incase of player engagements. Smoke lasts a good while and let's me reposition if caught in the open. For lethal proximity mine does the trick especially when extracting, you can cover each door at the back. Field upgrade, the anti armour rounds are so damn good with an LMG
Your tips worked perfectly! I am new to DMZ fresh from cod mobile. One thing that I tried that I got from cod mobile when pillaging the airdrops was downing some smoke as cover. Tried it on an exfil solo and worked great and I got out with the my item and on my way to ashkira island to make my last drop off. Hope it helps✌️
I personally love going DMZ solo and I try always to have a sniper or at least a marksman rifle in order to "clean" from distance places I'm going to. And about the music I'd suggest trying to listen to the only album by ANTEMASQUE. This band is composed by 2 of former Mars Volta members and they got praised by Red Hot Chili Pepper's Flea (I think he even play in one song). Keep up the good work.
For me, I usually go Stim Sem (I haven't seen this video before; just trial and errored it). I'll take an ammo box, Rez pistol, or anti-armor (vehicles, jug, or armored adds/players. Sometimes I'll take a drill charge or a frag. I use to use Moltovs for awhile, but it's primarily an area denial tool more than a lethal. Same with thermite. I think the tear gas gives you the best of smoke and stun, though it's primarily a defensive use. Smoke is still great for evading and hiding. I use to main deployable cover before unlocking the munition box. Good for strongholds and defense. Battle rage is essentially a Stim as a field for me. DDOS is great anti-player tool.
It's actually not bad going in with zero guns solo. It's pretty easy to punch out one AI at the start, or even find one. Personal preference though, I like to keep a full contraband stash for when I really need to load in with a gun. If I'm just doing running around missions where I have a high chance of dying fast, I'm not very good 😅, I hate losing guns from my contraband stash. I always try to exfill with extra guns, specifically snipers, since they're a great starting weapon going in Solo, as well with a team.
Not a serious gamer, but have found your DMZ videos very easy to follow along. Also your guidance of the map make it easy for me to comprehend Music : minus the bear 👌🏻
A tip I picked up: don’t sleep on navigating via the waterways as a solo. The shoreline rarely have AI and it’s a great way to zip around a map while staying low key.
Mmmmmm sniper food 😋
Just make sure you constantly zig zagging
As a solo player I really like Smoke Grenade for exfil, it’s so nice to mask your run for the heli. It also confuses the AI & can help you escape in tricky situations

My first year DMZ, I was totally hooked on these stims, and as my game progressed and became more aggressive, I’ve tend to take a take favor to dead silence whenever approaching enemy squads
honestly, one of the weapons to hoard in your contraband is the M4 that drops from the armored AI, it comes with a silencer and has almost no recoil
Another one is the Taq-56 that you can get from the HVTs.
As a solo, I have a preference for saving the .50 gs, an expedite 12 or Bryson with attachments, or a decent sniper. The utility against armored AI with the ammo efficiency is nutty for a solo. I tried it but you have to like hold 3 different keys to use it. Feels weird. I dunno
thats what i go in with. i usually pick up stims from a house the moment i get in but cant beat the spotter scope for recon.

@@benjaminmcever9846 same . You can always pick up stims from everywhere wnd just stow the scope and vice versa

Thanks for the tips! I just started DMZ and this will help.
Sorry bro, i'm going old skool and got Gunners and Foos on my playlist
Great content as always, looking forward to seeing more.
Super fun!
Oh, about music… I just ask Alexa to play classical cello music. One of many genres I like.
Liked and subscribed dude. Keep up the good work
Awesome Video as always Geeks! Been listening to a lot of Night Verses lately 😎
Effing eh thanks for the kind words. Night verses is like a explosions in the sky if they were harder I dig em
Thank you for the content! As for the question at the end of the video; I enjoy listening to some Ludacris when playing DMZ. Rollout especially works for DMZ and gets me hyped in just the right way where I’m energized and not sluggish, but not distracted.
Haha rollout that's hilarious
Do what you want I'll be making content for both
@@geekseh awesome, I especially enjoyed your worthy barter guides. Miss the rechargeable battery for an Adar one...
brilliant video, thank you so much for the insight, SO useful!
Great video. I'm liking the 'Snuts' at the mo. A UK band
This is so helpful man, thanks!
I've been listening to Bambara a lot recently, and a little bit of Viagra Boys on the side. Great DMZ vids, keep them coming :)
Polyphia had been the band I found fun to listen to recently. Thanks for the advice. Happy gaming!
Great video, cheers!
For music, I would recommend Los Bitchos, Wetleg, and BCUC. Happy Christmas!
Dad Rock playlist. Great content brother, thanks for all the tips
Np at all! I just appreciate you watching eh!
Within temptation and trying the vocal lines on guitar good content man and subd
1000% agree with your munitions box. The rest I'm attempting to learn on. Throwing knife is really good if you ran out of weapons to use I suppose. I haven't been there yet it's easy to keep some contraband. You could even do solo runs to grab contraband weapons and exfil quickly to keep your guns up
throwing knife is really more for people that are bored or want to just play in a tactically stealthy way purposely to make it a bit more "fun"
I've been listening to Aitch. Nice video m8. Very helpful
Solid strategy.
The truck is a good idea around extraction points that are open. Another idea is to extract at a cliff points (WHEN YOU CAN), where the only way of entry is from the back. That way you only need to focus on the rear entry, unless people are gliding in ofc which is rare imo
Goood video dude, being uselessly slow (and older) I struggle on this game.....but am a sucker for punishment 😳 😅
Many thanks 😊
Lo-fi chill is my jam. Like the music behind this!
Saint Asonia! Appreciate the vid bro!!
Awesome content man! I listen to EDM artists like Subtronics, Level Up, Ray Volpe, Svdden Death, and Kai Wachi. Super heavy dubstep, but it is solid workout music.
Thanks man. This was a good video
These tips are very helpful and informative, I'll be definitely trying some of them out.
Also one of my favorite dubstep artists that is not well known is TheFatRat. I would highly recommend listening to Mayday, it's an awesome song.
Thanks buddy, listening to disturbed at the moment 👍
Great video and great info. Gonna start playing more DMZ.
It's a frigging blast man trust me I love it
For solo plays I like running the throwing knife.
I always listen to run the jewels. I’m not a rap guy but it gets me amped. Very intelligent artists.
Great vid, going to try some solo over the next few days using your tips. Been listening to a lot of Teramaze recently, prog metal.
Electric president is a great artist to check out. And great video, thank you.
Great video 👍. Really liking your DMZ content, keep it up.
Can you let us know the build for you AR in the clips?
I like the idea of using deployable cover facing the ramp of the exfill chopper.
Great tips 👌, and ive been jamming to evans blue, and novelists
For solo play i use flash or smoke incase of player engagements. Smoke lasts a good while and let's me reposition if caught in the open. For lethal proximity mine does the trick especially when extracting, you can cover each door at the back. Field upgrade, the anti armour rounds are so damn good with an LMG
I like these vids
New player love dmz and fly solo sometimes. Thanks!
Just found “ Jelly Roll “ save me has so much emotion. Great tips brother! Happy hunting!
Hey the new Guided by Voices is really good even though he’s like 70 now.
My brother turned me on to your stuff. Thanks for the video.
Thanks man! Also tell your brother thank you also what a bunch of bud bros
Great tips. Earned my sub:)
Good stuff, I like to listen to Stinking Lizaveta while blasting Ai in the DMZ
Iron maiden and some Korn. Great video!
Didn’t know about the free guns to go in if you don’t wanna use insured guns, nice advice!
im listening a lot to chill bump lately. both of them are dope
The Sword. Good jams for while youre grinding through a project.
Awesome stuff! Thanks bro!
Polyphia. Most of there stuff is insturmental but the hooks are absolutley epic. Preciate the knowledge man.
Yo man great video! I’ve been listening to a lot of Skillet lately. Mainly their Dominion album.
Also your guidance of the map make it easy for me to comprehend
Music : minus the bear 👌🏻
Thanks so much for enjoying the content eh!
To complicate the tac loadout, the new update lets you pick suppression mine or ANTI ARMOR ROUNDS. Easy(er) earlier strong holds to snowball
