Some of the guests are way over my head and make me feel too afraid to trade. Other guests are so simplistic that I know I can do that. But by listening to so many different styles and reading so many different criteria, I feel like I may never understand enough to make it all work. That's why hearing Kunal Desai say "Mastering 1 or 2 things is a lot more profitable than having knowledge of 20 or 30 things." has saved me from becoming too discouraged.
From what I can hear this bloke is talking balls. Well, I say talking, he's shouting a lot of the time. He doesn't talk like a real trader, he talks like a salesman. Avoid.
Tim C, he sounds like he started from some personal experience -- enough to make a believable pitch. But given the success of his business, yeah he's going to be a good salesman. For some new people, his basic advice could well be helpful. A sensible student wouldn't stop at basic general advice though. User Abade summarized the points of the podcast in a comment below, and the advice is all useful to people new to trading -- caution about emotional intelligence is probably a lot more helpful than telling new traders that you're all about XYZ chart pattern, even if most new traders won't get it until they've experienced a few losses. I'm not the only one commenting here who found these points to be personally relevant or true at some stage of learning to trade.
@@timc9806 He's likely a teacher/mentor at this point in his life. So, to do so you have to be articulate and speak audibly. Honestly, I've heard worse. Also, i've watched this guy multiple times, he talks like this in each video i've seen.
I'll be honest, i dont really jive so well with this guy's hyper enthusiastic personality so I struggled at first...but glad i continued to listen...he does have some good info and this is a great interview, thanks.
Wow! What a great interview! Listening to this actually reminds me of my husband who's been a trader for 14 years and still going strong. He lost a good £30k+ at the beginning but never gave up. He learnt from his mistakes and found a mentor who's helped him gained confidence back. My husband was previously a chef with no knowledge of the stock market. Its just pure hard work and determination that got him to where he is today. It is true, successful traders will go through the worst patch but then their determination and hard work really pays off. Thanks again for all your amazing interviews. It really gives an insight of what real traders have to go through. I'm a beginner trader and my husband is mentoring me through this. I must say listening to your interview gives me that extra boost and enthusiasm. Keep it up!
Great interview! Really enjoyed the lesson! Some key take aways for me: 1. Resiliency is what seperates the successful traders from the rest 2. Knowledge of all facets of trading may satify your intellectual ego, but mastery of one area is where money is really made. 3. Confidence is a matter of competence..Repeteition and requisite screen time, will lead you to see more clearly...the key is to.extend your life cycle without blowing up your account!
This stands out as one of your best interviews to date. This episode is an absolute goldmine of information. It has helped my own trading tremendously. I have listened to this about 5 times over the past year and keep coming back.
This is true if you have both passion and skill, but skill alone will trump passion without skill. For example take a midget passionate about basketball, they will never beat a passionless non midget player with skill.
love this guy, I'm ten years into trading as a hobby. Only now its becoming 'clear' and I'm on for 40% per year account gain, and thinking this could be a long term full time prospect.
I love the way Kunal talks. He's like a cool surfer dude~ It took me perhaps 4000 hrs of screen time and maybe 800-900 or so hrs of study (books/talks/youtube vids) to actually be able to read the markets well enough to be consistent~ but then I'm a slow learner~
I just got interested in trading and I’ve been reading and watching a ton of videos narrowing it down to just a few or a couple that i will continue to follow. First Chat with Traders does an excellent job of putting the content out there the host simply asks the questions and let the guests answer without over talking them or interrupting. PERFECT!!! This particular video was absolutely on point and Kunal was on point with everything he said. How I know is im not a youngin and i’ve been around the block a few times and the things he say in this video you can equate to life PERIOD! i could go on and on but man i just wanna say thank you @kunal and @chatwithtraders ✌🏾

All these interviews so far are making me more confident and realise that I am going throught theses phases what other trades are going throught so il never give up ;) Thanks Aron
I've had room-mates from India through the years and this man's credibility with me soared when he said what every Indian is looking for is something free from another Indian.
It's funny how certain lines seem tailored to an individual, at certain times. One of my goals for this March has been to narrow the focus of my trading. I'm an eager seeker of knowledge but that makes things jumbled at times. I have much to improve; It was nice hearing an expert tell me to do what I'm trying to practice. Great interview, as always.
