My brother in laws' father owned and operated the Lucky Day mines up there. Palo was his name. Are you familiar? Beautiful area, grew up camping out there
@@NWUEmines cougar gulch. A dirt road off to the right, believe next to Williams creek? I'll have to Google earth it tomorrow. He had an old cabin on the hillside, I believe the ruins are still there.
Are you sure that isn't the Ace of Diamonds? I was there in about 1975. That portal looks familiar. At the time I visited it, it had a little wooden sign over the cap timber that said, "Ace of Diamonds".
It's the Wall St 100%. Guy contacted me who had that mine in the mid 1960s...very interesting all the work he did on it. Ace is completely collapsed, a real goner.
No, but I know of a man who OWNED and mined this exact mine on the late 1960s! He said there is nothing left, and went on to be a mining geologist as a result of his interest...neat story
nice geological formations and small stope, I think he was chasing that fracture, slip, fault line, wall, from the workings it looks look me he made a few bucks!
When you go through town keep going straight until you get to the sand stone that's on the right hand side of the road and about a 8th of a mile up the road from that there's going to be what looks like a wheeling trail but it doesn't go very far and the mine will be off to your left
0:15 Tis very weird, to me it outlines a geological grid, the coloured sections are anomalous to ? mineralization? Retired now but the spark for science and how each thing finds it place, at times closely associated with others. Arsenopyrite is a companion as is mercury being proximal to gold in specific deposition environments. You got to be a Shirlock Holmes and absolutely loving it to peruse the quest for understanding of how this gets here, a gift for the earth?
It would be nice of the author of this film to have an audio system that works. It wouod also be nice to point out that this is an active mining claim. I was the president of the local mining assn. for two terms and know most of the local miners.

2:12 They were following a fault and alteration zone (ore), they then split off to try to see if parallel fault zones exist.
I love to drive over the pass to prospect in the Liberty area
I've spent probably 50 hours working a claim on the Peshastin!

They probably used a GoPro inside of a waterproof housing. That's why there is little to no sound?
