    I've spent an agonizing long time hunting for budget keebs with good latency, but literally nobody tests keyboard latency.
    You're the first reviewer I've seen who includes latency tests, besides Rtings who mostly only does expensive or popular products.

    • @thoccnology

      I personally prefer Cherry-profile keycaps over OEM profile, and for a full sounding sound profile the F75 doesn't need any mods.
      But the aesthetic preferences are an important thing to consider as well. So it's totally OK to go with the design you prefer. Any of these two keyboards is a very good choice.

    • @raymundjoelcadiz2993
      @raymundjoelcadiz2993 5 месяцев назад

      I did get an F75. Upon further research, it seems like Aula is pretty much future proof and doesn't require much modding. The build quality is nice and the feedback is great. Unlike the Ajazz, the materials used didn't get cheaped out. Although if you're really into the mini-screen, you can consider getting the Ajazz. It has a bit less latency which can be benificial if you're into professional gaming experience. But the latency difference between the two isn't really that much in real world perspective so no worries abt it.
      So my final verdict was this:
      Ajazz AK820 Pro:
      • Mini-Screen
      • Aesthetic Build
      • Easily Modded than F75
      • Lowest Latency
      Aula F75:
      • Build Quality
      • Great sound out of the box
      • Knob is easily used since it doesn't control the screen but the volume itself
      • Better Colorway for Custom Keycaps
      • Weighs a bit more
      • Has a well known company and I also got a good warranty
      If your preference ticks more into one of these you can go ahead decide. This is actually my second Mech Keeb and Im kindda new into this thing. But I can say that this keyboard will pretty much last for me.

I bought this keyboard about half a year ago and have been using it daily, but recently both the H key and the Enter key started to malfunction: sometimes a hit is not registered, sometimes a hit is double registered. I changed the switches to the spare ones that came with the box and they went back to normal. But they only give you two spare switches...

  • @802Garage
    @802Garage 5 месяцев назад +2

    My favorite layout too! Specifically with the arrow keys aligned with the bottom and right rows. Drives me crazy when they are dropped down. I also like that there are no missing keys on the right side. This gives the keyboard a good balance. Knobs are OP of course.
    I love that you included real performance specs. The only thing missing for me really on this keyboard is shine through keycaps. I really like illuminated lettering. It's nice that it has north facing LEDs though, so any shine through keycaps should work well.
    I think I may get an Aula F75 with black base and buy black transparent keycaps with green lettering. Think it would have a good look and sound. The green letters would match the reapers, but I hope the light colored switch bases wouldn't ruin the aesthetic.

      Yes, the Spaceberry is just the keycap set/design. I always tend to go with aluminium keyboards (like the Hi75), as they are easier to mod. I mean if I have the extra money to cover the difference.

      Yeah, I didn't consider the first one as a drawback, because with the stock switches+keycaps the North-facing leds do not cause any interference (also many other, newer switches also pay attention to this detail). :)

    I think the north-facing LEDs could be a drawback for someone that may want to use different switches. I still think the Ajazz AK820 Pro edges this one out. It is a decent looking keyboard, though I don't really like the knob. :D

    • @thoccnology
      @thoccnology 6 месяцев назад +1

      Oh, I see! Yeah, the North-facing design is definitely not a common thing nowadays - but also the keycaps are not super thick, so that might help with the compatibility issues (as far as one's willing to keep the stock keycaps)

    • @thoccnology
      @thoccnology 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@wutttt7661 You got it right, that's basically the difference between these two. Also the AK820 Pro has OEM keycaps and the case+switches might need some modding, while the F75 has Cherry and is ready to be used stock (it's also personal preference, just one extra thing to consider).
      Both are very very good for their prices!

    • @nebulazykbs
      @nebulazykbs 6 месяцев назад

      @@wutttt7661 I think it depends on the switch combination and whether or not north-facing switches bothers you. I have the white AK820 and the keycaps aren't OEM, but maybe a slightly taller version of cherry. I also chose the Gift switches and they feel and sound amazing. I think you most likely won't regret purchasing either one.

    • @nebulazykbs
      @nebulazykbs 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@thoccnology The keycaps on my AK820 aren't true OEM and might just be a taller cherry, but they are still double-shot and nice looking & feeling. I also chose the Gift switches, which have the heavier spring. I think that affects the sound and feel quite a bit. Mine is a clacky dream and I actually might not change anything, other than some minor modding. I am definitely tempted by the F75, but the north-facing LEDs is kind of a deal breaker for me. I like the ability to change switches/keycaps. I do understnad that you're judging these as a pre-built and your points make perfect sense. I really enjoy your videos and especially the included latency tests!

      @thoccnology Do you have a recommendation for best keyboard around this price range? I always hear the keychron v1 recommended but I think it sounds really bad stock, does it sound better than the Ak820 pro when modded? I'm willing to mod if so. But I heard keychron keyboards have high latency which might be an issue since I compete in semi-pro valorant tournaments

    • @thoccnology
      @thoccnology 4 месяца назад

      @@xsanez_ Yeah, I also don't prefer Keychrons, they have hollow sound and are generally overpriced.
