My stereo won't won't I got everything hooked up rigjt but I don't have another red wire on my stock harness or a blue one for the power antenna were do I put them
I live in a motor home and will feed the unit off the battery solar-powered RV battery bank. (So I can use t when parked) I am less than novice qualified but I was planning to run both the hot (yellow) and acc (red) to the feed from the batteries. Will that work? What do I connect the ILL wire to? thanks
I just replaced my stock radio in my 2006 Nissian Xterra with a pioneer head unit. I turned my ignition over to make sure everything worked properly and I didnt get any power to the new stereo. Is this because I dont have the ground ran? In stock nissian radios the ground is ran with the antenna wire.
So I have a 2005 chevy Colorado and I've wired everything I believe correctly and ground the wire and even bought the antenna adapter and I still can't figure out why I'm getting no power at all
You need to use test light to check 12 volt constant , 12 volt ignition and ground wires. Hold one end of test light on ground wire and other on 12 volt wire if it doesn't light up check other ground locations "any solid metal surfaces". If it lights up with different ground location it means ground was bad. If it still does not light up check fuses for 12 volt power.
Can you please help me... Doubt you have this stereo anymore but if any chance you can give me the order of colors on the pins.. dual doesn't give info.. ive zoomed in on multiple paused images and I just can't see for life of me ..
bought a boss audio stereo off amazon used from amazons warehouse deals part, and the stereo works completely.. gps and everything, only thing was no audio, i have no amp in my car and the "professional" i was paying told me after 5 hours that my unit is defective, he even showed me his stereo and it worked fine. should i believe him? (he was a guy off craigslist)
I have the same Pontiac too and since it’s a GM car you have to wire the red wire to the fuse box on the side of the passenger door and find a right fuse that turns the stereo on and off when you turn the car on and off so it doesn’t drain your battery
Hey I got the same radio but a different version , quick question when playing music from the aux or Bluetooth do it show the song you’re playing or just a generic music logo .. thanks man
HELP! MY RED WIRE IS NOT PART OF THE HARNESS. IT IS SEPARATE. WTF DO I HOOK THAT UP TO? All my wires will be used, but the red one that came with the stereo is on the harness and the one that came with the adapter kit is not. It looks like it wants me to tap into a 12V switched source...don't know where or how I should do this! HELP
Hello, how are you? I wanted to ask you a question. Have you installed a c2r gm29 interface? do you have any video? I installed one in my 08 yukon and when the radio turns on it makes a noise like static, do you have any idea what it could be? Thank you
okay so we have an 04 dodge durango and bought a Dual xbm280bt radio from Wal-Mart and my fiance cut the plug off the factory radio so how would we wire those cut wires to the new radio wires without the plug
Samantha Mead if plug is gone/missing you figure out your power and ground wires with test light. But your speaker wires will be much harder to figure out if you have access to speakers you might be able to find the color of wires hooked up to speaker and hopefully the color is the same where wires were cut.
Hello..I installed a reverse camera to this stereo but the screen is black. When I put reverse that's when I see the reverse camera turn on. Do you know what I did wrong? Thanks
Hey serious question here. Just bought this as my first lcd unit. After hooking it up to test, the screen is black but the buttons around it light up (only with my lights on unfortunately). Do I have to reset it maybe, or did I miss something? almost like it set itself to standby but won't come on. What are some things I can try? thanks in advance
Do you mind questions? Please. The new stereo has wires that the harness doesn't have, nor did you mention them. The pinks are obvious; front/rear cameras. The 5 others are the questionable ones. (Wires 1-3) Have 3 wires for Steering wheel control (Gray = SWC 1, Green = SWC 2 and Black (fine) = SWC Ground.) Do I need that separate ($50) SWC? Or can I pull out one of the wires from the the other connectors that were in the stock unit? (4) Blue (B+) (2nd blue w/o white stripe) = Amplifier Control and (5) Brown = Brake (B-). Also, I notice your harness kit had the connectors. My harness didn't. Wondering, if I got the wrong brand harness.
SWC will be specific for whatever vehicle you are using some vehicles require a separate module and some don't . Wire harnesses are specific for vehicles as well most are designed to plug right in to you stock wire harnesses and sometimes not all stock connectors get used. My video just kind of covers a basic install to get power and sound working everything else becomes a learning experience to figure out.
Truth! It is a learning experience, taught by digging in. Thanks for your reply. Trying to get answers w/o sifting online. Starting to piece some of it together. You're so right, I would just need to fish around inside. My new deck seeems to have the SWC built in; set of wires out of deck. Time is required to figure out which wires from van. Thanks for your time.
all these vidieos are driving me crazy the after market radio has rt but my 2012 colorado dont have a red wire has all the other colors but red what do i do
Jaxs Rea you will need wire harness adapter for your vehicle it will show on instructions what wire is red/12 volt ignition. The wires that are attached to stock radio do not follow the same color codes that aftermarket radios do. You can also use a test light to figure out which wire is red/12 volt ignition. Test light will show power with wire when ignition is in the on position .
well guess what i wired it rt it worked i felt radio was hot as crap in back found out chevy uhave to wire red one to fuse boxdid that yeserday nothing im stressed out done . so much for trying
time to cut wires I guess and test with test light to find constant power, ground , And Ignition power. Then for you speaker wires its a little tricky but it can also be done. But if its an older vehicle you can check where the wires plug into your speaker to find wire color codes for your speaker.
There’s no standardization, so you need an adapter that goes from your car’s specific stereo connector to spliceable wires. Without it, you can still make it work by cutting off the stock connector and splicing directly but you’ll have to figure out which wire is which on your own and it won’t be easy to go back to the stock radio.
Its a nice radio but i hate that it takes forever to connect the bluetopth and then it takes even loner for the sound to go thru the speakers. Sucks kus i bought it for the bt
Hi, I have the exact stereo put in by a car stereo guy. My Stereo worked fine until a month ago when it started to turn off by itself while I was driving. Then a week ago it turned off and never came back on. Checked fuses they are ok , took radio out of the dash and all wires are fine. If anyone has any idea on what it could be I would love and appreciate some input. Thanks
Thanks CLS, I have an Axxera, looks just like the unit you installed, but I want to power it without have to turn on the ignition switch, what would you suggest? What does the extra yellow power wire do?
Question I have the same model car 2000 Nissan Xterra same brand of radio but the harness I got does not have a black ground wire but the radio does radio works fine till i turn on my head lights then the radio shuts off how do I fix this problem
victor martinez find a suitable ground on your vehicle to attach ground wire with self tapping screw to closest solid metal or you can tie in with the cigarette lighter ground.
I got a 2003 Chevy trailblazer and I removed the 6 disc cd changer and had to put it back in and now it won't start. I've tried jumping it off and the lights will come on but it won't turn over. And the battery won't hold a charge. Wut should I do
Thanks for your video. Very helpfull. Any possibility to convert a 1di to 2din in hyundai santa fe model CM, year 2006? I f yes, Do I need to buy a 2din cage or the aftermarket come with one like i am seeing in this demonstration?
Papami Peremi unfortunately there probably is not enough room for 2 din stereo. You can google your car model + 2 din stereo to see if there is a conversion dash kit for yours. Also Dual makes a stereo that is single din with a 7 inch motorized pop out screen that might be a good alternative for you.
how did you install the universal antenna from the stock antenna to the deck I got the same one in your video but I can't figure it out in my 2006 Nissan Altima
Randy Rodriquez one cable should plug into stock antenna wire other end should plug into deck. Only 2 ends should be used. If it does not plug into your antenna then it's not the proper adapter for your vehicle unfortunately.
I got the one for 2006 Nissan Altima and nun of the ends fit do I really need the antenna? and what is the black and white wire for is that a positive ground?
Randy Rodriquez antenna is for FM and AM radio it's not required but you will lose those functions. For stereo their should be a diagram saying what each color of wire is and same with the car adapter wire harness to figure out the black/white wire.
so I have the same stereo for my Nissan maxima and everything works except for sound. I read it is probably because I need to wire the amp wire but I'm where!?!?! help please.
bought the same stereo, hooked it up and it says theres a "brake light" wire i have to hook up or else the stereo screen goes blue when i turn on my lights, what can i do?
Juan Mendoza worked for me I just connected the black wire and parking brake wire from stereo wire harness together then connected both to car ground wire. I heard a couple people having problems with dimmer wire also having to disconnect or screen would turn blue with vehicle lights on.
I hooked mine up and ran wire for an amp. Now I can find out why I can't get sound out of my subwoofer. I tried every rca preout on the back and nothing. The amp has power and ground.
@@D.I.Y._All-in-One mine has done the same thing yesterday working fine I turned my car off and in the morning I turned on the car and it's a very lightish dark screen I've reset both the radio you have and unplugged everything plus took out and reset the access box and still same screen help please we have -degree weather right now so I've brought them in to warm up
I have a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD Duramax four wheel drive long wheel base with on Star. plus it has steering wheel control. I want to get that door multimedia DVD player Seaver with Bluetooth do you know what all I would need to buy to get it installed and how can I bypass that switch for the braking left it so I can watch DVD player all movies?
I believe you will need to buy a new aftermarket dash panel because the opening is not big enough to fit double din stereo you will also need wire harness adapters and onstar adapters if you want to retain that feature. You should be able to find everything you need on ebay.com or schosche www.scosche.com/ . To bypass parking prake on dual stereo just hook parking brake wire to ground wires on wire harness.
I have a question, at 6:00, there's a plastic thing that's not connected to anything under the radio. Mine is the same way, and I left the yellow panel in to block it, and tiny radio still won't turn on, could I just need to tape the wires again or redo them?
I got the Xnav267bt confused. I got a touch screen stereo and soldered all the wires except for the ones described below vvvv The last wire thats on the aftermarket harness for my car is pink "12 volt ignition/switched" the aftermarket radio harness wores left are "ACC B+", "Reverse +", "Remote turn on +", and pink wore that says "brake" that says must be connected to watch video properly. i looked up the ignition/switched and acc. They both sound pretty similar. Can they go together?
I bought this radio today I set it up but weird thing when I turn on my headlights the screen turns blue but when I shut off the lights it goes back to normal.. any suggestions need the help..
So I have a 2001 Nissan exterra and I just installed this radio but when I turn my headlights on it trys to turn on the back up camera witch I didn't hook up. What do I do
Yes eventually I will release a subwoofer installation video but it will be for a different vehicle. But it will be a standard installation tutorial for all vehicles. The Dual deck in this video has subwoofer volume control with frequency adjustment to get bass sounding really good .
austin price sometimes it's hard to figure out the color codes for what the wires are on the stock wiring harness . also if you go to change your stereo or sell your car it's much easier to remove your aftermarket stereo and put your old stereo back in
Hi, i just bought this yesterday. My question is this, there's a wire harness that came with it can i just use this and hard wire it the my car or do i need anything else?
Virtual Rogue if you know what wires are ground/power/speakers etc on the car then you can wire right to that. But I would recommend buying wire harness adapter so you don't have to cut stock wires. If you ever sold the car you could easily put back in the stock stereo using wire harness adapter. But if the wires are cut it makes it a pain in the butt.
I bought the same car stereo from autozone, and I’m planning to a 2008 Volkswagen Bora, my question is, do you know if there is a harness that I could use to install it on this type of car?
ZambonieDude most stock car stereos have grounds already in wire harness. But if for some reason it does not have ground in harness yes you will have to install a ground wire. This can be done by finding the nearest solid piece of metal that produces a good ground and using a self tapping screw to secure wire. A test light can be used to check ground location by holding one end on 12 volt power and other end on metal if it lights up brightly you have a good ground.
Hello, I have a question. Where were you able to find the mounting cage and the stereo connection adapters for this product. I bought the same one and am having trouble finding those accessories.
Mounting cage should come supplied with stereo when purchased. If you purchased stereo used the cage may be missing might be able to find one on ebay here is a link that might help: www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=dual+moiunting+cage+double+din&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xdual+mounting+cage+double+din.TRS0&_nkw=dual+mounting+cage+double+din&_sacat=0 ... Stereo connection adapters can be found on Ebay or at Walmart, Best buy, Autozone, and Oreily's and most other auto part stores.
Hi, looking to replace the after market stereo that came with my car when I got it used. Do I still need a conversion kit, or should the wires be ready to plug right in? Thanks!
Stephon Reed sound like Something to due with dimmer wires try unhooking any wires labled dimmer then cap them off and test radio and see if lights still effect it. If that still does not work double check all connections its not too hard to mix a couple wires up.

Samantha Mead if you still have cut plug you can buy an adapter wire harness and figure out which wire s are what by matching colors.
Samantha Mead if plug is gone/missing you figure out your power and ground wires with test light.
To bypass parking prake on dual stereo just hook parking brake wire to ground wires on wire harness.
just ground the brake wire and it will work I have install this same radio in the past
I have a question, at 6:00, there's a plastic thing that's not connected to anything under the radio. Mine is the same way, and I left the yellow panel in to block it, and tiny radio still won't turn on, could I just need to tape the wires again or redo them?
C.L.S. Allinone
I got the Xnav267bt
confused.
I got a touch screen stereo and soldered all the wires except for the ones described below vvvv
The last wire thats on the aftermarket harness for
my car is pink "12 volt ignition/switched"
the aftermarket radio harness wores left are "ACC B+", "Reverse +", "Remote turn on +", and pink wore that says "brake" that says must be connected to watch video properly.
i looked up the ignition/switched and acc. They both sound pretty similar. Can they go together?
Having the exact same issue. Any luck?
Does it come with wires already or no
Stereo won't stay on unless all yellow and red wires are wired together but then it stays on even when the car is off how do I fix this
Did you figure this out? I have the same problem!
What do I do
Where did you connect the steering wheel control? I have a 2002 Nissan Pathfinder
You have to buy a adapter
Thanks for the help, eventing worked out perfect!
Robert Taylor your welcome
Can you connect subs to this double din?
Juan Vega yes just hooked up sub actually to this deck a week ago.
C.L.S. Allinone thanks and do you think you could be Able to do a full review
Yes eventually I will release a subwoofer installation video but it will be for a different vehicle. But it will be a standard installation tutorial for all vehicles. The Dual deck in this video has subwoofer volume control with frequency adjustment to get bass sounding really good .
What's the point of the adapter? Why not just splice the wires together without it?
austin price sometimes it's hard to figure out the color codes for what the wires are on the stock wiring harness . also if you go to change your stereo or sell your car it's much easier to remove your aftermarket stereo and put your old stereo back in
Because it's faster and much easier. The factory wiring colors will be no where close to the radio wire colors
I bought this same model. what do you connect the pink parking wire too. there is no pink wire on the adapter
Pink/parking brake wire hooks to parking brake or it can be bypassed and connected to ground wires
Thank you
What size fuse does it use
10 amp
Great video thanks
Could you tell me if this stereo is compatible with a 1995 volvo.
where do the rca's go for a amplifier?
Hi, i just bought this yesterday. My question is this, there's a wire harness that came with it can i just use this and hard wire it the my car or do i need anything else?
Virtual Rogue if you know what wires are ground/power/speakers etc on the car then you can wire right to that. But I would recommend buying wire harness adapter so you don't have to cut stock wires. If you ever sold the car you could easily put back in the stock stereo using wire harness adapter. But if the wires are cut it makes it a pain in the butt.
ok thanks
Hey do you know why my radio is dying out my battery
I had the same problem, radio was not turning off the amplifier, so I added a extra switch.
I bought the same car stereo from autozone, and I’m planning to a 2008 Volkswagen Bora, my question is, do you know if there is a harness that I could use to install it on this type of car?
Go to Best Buy they got literally almost every harness for every radio to everycar
I for one am going back to stock Ford stereo system.
Did you not install the Ground wire in this video?
Also will i have to buy my own ground wire for the installation to be completed?
ZambonieDude most stock car stereos have grounds already in wire harness. But if for some reason it does not have ground in harness yes you will have to install a ground wire. This can be done by finding the nearest solid piece of metal that produces a good ground and using a self tapping screw to secure wire. A test light can be used to check ground location by holding one end on 12 volt power and other end on metal if it lights up brightly you have a good ground.
I did everything you did but now I hear a high pitch sound when pushing the accelerator. I don't know how to fix that.
Maybe try finding a better ground to connect to.
So if u have a loose connection do u have to rewire it again thanks
Jonathan Baca just need to inspect every connection closely to see whats wrong. Test light can be very handy for this.
I WANA SEE THE BREAK WIRE WHERE IS IT CONNECTED TO??
connect all the wires and No power please help
Marcus Snow do in sunlight
Plug in ur antenna
Maybe you blew a fuse? Check the fuses.
How'd you test it without reconnecting the battery. haha great video!
C.L.S. Allinone Thanks a bunch
Hi, looking to replace the after market stereo that came with my car when I got it used. Do I still need a conversion kit, or should the wires be ready to plug right in? Thanks!
Wires should be ready if last installer did it right keep your fingers crossed.
C.L.S. Allinone thanks, it worked fine!
hey. I instead one of these in my 96 s10. every thing works till I cut the light on then it goes blue. What is the best way for me to handle it
Stephon Reed sound like Something to due with dimmer wires try unhooking any wires labled dimmer then cap them off and test radio and see if lights still effect it. If that still does not work double check all connections its not too hard to mix a couple wires up.
Mine cant turn on when I turn off and have it on ACC or when I even fully start the car it still doesnt work, help please
