I LOVE,LOVE,LOVE your videos, thanks for sharing. But could you do another video about paint stripping but then with: 1 - A copper wire brush ( as far as i can see you used a metal wire brush this time ? ) 2- Sandblaster: there are small sandblasters the same size as a regular airbrush but with a bigger cup (BD-178 = 21 euro + 1 KG sandblasting material BD-60 = 4 euro see airgoo-europe.com) 3 Laquer thinner 4 Baking soda 5 Carburetor cleaner (spray) 6 A combination ot a (dentist)-scraper for the panel lines + a sanding sponge (Tamiya, 3M or cheapest AmazingArt) I just looked at your video of the Alfa Romeo 155 V6 Ti DTM, fantastic work but why put so much effort into cutting the engine-hood, building an engine, building a rollcage and then do nothing on the windscreen wiper? A bit of masking tape and a bit of paint or a permanent marker! would make a big difference. The same goes for the window frames: make the bottom of the side windows-frame black and the entire window-frames of the front- and rear windows black with either paint or a permanent marker and your cars go up from 9.50 out of 10 to 10 out of 10 ! BTW I love your videos and the choice of cars, I too love race- and rallycars, but i'm more into 1:43 and 1:24. Would you ever consider doing a 1:43 or 1:24? I've used it that way.
Cool
How do I wash the die cast off after getting all the paint off?
Soap and water works for me.
Worth mentioning that that Diall product is now £6.75!
And here I am using sandpaper and a file.
I use Nitro Universal thinner it's the cheapest thinner that you get in Germany
Thanks Lukas 👍🏻
Any new method? The paint strippers available today are very weak
This video would be been posted post the methylene chloride ban, so he's using the same paint stripper available today. Paint stripper is usually the best method anyway.
I LOVE,LOVE,LOVE your videos, thanks for sharing. But could you do another video about paint stripping but then with:
1 - A copper wire brush ( as far as i can see you used a metal wire brush this time ? )
2- Sandblaster: there are small sandblasters the same size as a regular airbrush but with a bigger cup (BD-178 = 21 euro + 1 KG sandblasting material BD-60 = 4 euro see airgoo-europe.com)
3 Laquer thinner
4 Baking soda
5 Carburetor cleaner (spray)
6 A combination ot a (dentist)-scraper for the panel lines + a sanding sponge (Tamiya, 3M or cheapest AmazingArt)
I just looked at your video of the Alfa Romeo 155 V6 Ti DTM, fantastic work but why put so much effort into cutting the engine-hood, building an engine, building a rollcage and then do nothing on the windscreen wiper? A bit of masking tape and a bit of paint or a permanent marker! would make a big difference. The same goes for the window frames: make the bottom of the side windows-frame black and the entire window-frames of the front- and rear windows black with either paint or a permanent marker and your cars go up from 9.50 out of 10 to 10 out of 10 !
BTW I love your videos and the choice of cars, I too love race- and rallycars, but i'm more into 1:43 and 1:24. Would you ever consider doing a 1:43 or 1:24?
I think about Burago 1:43 + 1:24 Ford Escort RS Cosworth or Ford Focus WRC, 1:43 Solido Lancia 037 Rally, 1:43 CorgiToys SilkCut Jaguar XJR-9 or Ferrari 512 BB LM or ;24 Burago Renault 5 Turbo (re-issue) to name a few. Don't get me wrong i really like your videos, and i learn a lot from you !! I hope you respond. THANK YOU.
I stopped using wire wheels because I don't like eating the wires that leave the brush. LOL
It has its uses but for that reason you mention it's darn annoying for sure. I keep panicking incase one went in my eye.... Imagine that 😱
Put glue around the middle of the little wire router
how to fix rusty wheels? paint?
Lol I’m not going trying to try the 4th one
Because if your do it too fast or not good your gonna scrap it
Put super glue on the wire brushes at the hub and they last much longer.
If only I had a drill..
