- Tim puts a Manitou MLT 741-130 and 841-145 telehandler to the test! Thank you to Manitou UK for supplying the telehandlers. How do they compare to JCB and would you like to see them on our hire fleet? Let us know in the comments!

Let us know your opinion of Manitou! Would you like to see them in the hire fleet?
The JSM joystick on the manitou is the best on the market it just fits you’re hand perfectly 👍
Hi can you get jcb 3cx pro and quick question can you get the same attachments for both of machines but have 2 different head stocks I mean is can you get a bucket with a jcb q fit and manitou bracket?
We have had them for 45 years and have tried other makes but we think manitou is far superior
I ran them where I used to work for 6 years I like the controls and the car like electric window. I’ve bought a a jcb since going on my own but wouldn’t rule out a manitou in the future (especially one of the roto ones) might be worth looking into one of those for the hire fleet! Love the vids keep up the good work! Callum
We had a manitou and it just kept breaking down so we moved to jcb and they have been brilliant
Well we purchased One New JCB & One New Manitou on the same day for our fleet back in 1989 The JCB burst in flames 🔥, and from that day on we have Purchased Over 120 Manitou’s over the years and the rest is history need we say any more ✅👍🏻
Nice One Tim don't many Manitou's about now 20 years ago most farmers / contractors round here had Manitou's Enjoy the long weekend Thanks again
that 841-145 is a weapon, were I work had it a few weeks ago to demo to customers, they loved it (only negative was the gold wrap bonnet)
We were looking at getting an older 626( I think!), agri spec, at euro auction. The cab was really well designed and easy to get in and out of
Might get 12 months out of them before the transmission fails.
Several neighbours had theirs fail and gone back to JCB.
Dove farms and Wardys waffle here on RUclips have had theirs fail, Wardys has just failed again after 12months!!
We have had ares for coming up to 4 years no issues and that's the vario transmission
We have a mlt940-140v+ manitou absolutely love it!!
Great video lads
Had manitou since the 1990s won’t have anything else now currently on our 3rd manitou they have stood the test of time here tried jcb and Kramer there okay but i much prefer the manitou cab and controls hands down
Both very nice machines...😊
All the RUclipsrs I watch run either run JCB or Manitou. Go for it.
Great video lads they are a good machine I’ve driven both makes not a lot between them really they would be a good hire machine
I have a 735 120 lsu. Year 2006 and only do my own farm work and with only 5000 hours done as I bought it from newI’m on my second main lift ram and it has also cracked and I can’t get a new ram from Manitou as they say they haven’t one in stock anywhere and will have to pay extra just to get one off the assembly line. Very disappointed with their service atm.
I'm down to buying my third Manitou in 25 years. First one a 524 MLT made it to 18 years and 15000 hours without too many major breakdown. Engine, gearbox and axles were untouched, had the tipping cylinder replaced twice and the lifting cylinder once. Sadly it burned down because i truly think it could go on for another 5000 hours. Bought a second hand 526 Turbo on 24" wheels and was also a very good machine, but had allot of electrical problems in the last months. Down to where the dasboard lights and flaslights didn't work anymore, and at that time the head gasket was blown. It overheated and was lost. I'm in for a new 635 - 130 PS+ . Anyone got experiences with it?
Small, but well worth having is the door window can go up or down instead of half the door locking back.
Manitou is good kit we had lot of then i think manitou will go well in your higher fleet
I like the manitou JSM joystick over jcbs
Never used one so Sorry I can not comment.👍 JCB ok like every machine till they go wrong.
'i got long legs' hahahaha that is not your problem mate
stay with the best j c b
Had 2 jcb both a dose! Had terex and merlo since never any bother
We have a manitou and a jcb manitou wins hands down on reliability
Jcb rolls feels like you have to boot a manitous arse to work 😅
Support British machines not French! Watch Wardys video about his manitou, 3rd gearbox on a 19 plate. The joystick is horrible if you have small hands
Correct .
What a silly answer. I'd never support a machine just because its build in my country. Manitou's have been proven to be allot more reliable then JCB's.
The loader joy stick awful on manitous way too big
have you tried it ? It's the best on the market.
Plus on the road your blind on one side with the manitou the pillor is too low
they are not as good as jcb and gear box on manitou are weak
Absolutely awful machines!
Gearbox is poor build quality cud be better engine lacks grunt agri pro jcb more nimble we run 1800 acre arable farm in Worcestershire we will stick with jcb. Used tobe nothing breaks down like a deer we r fent. A lot better more quality and reliable
Rubbish gearbox ,, had manitou,, Jcbs,, try a Merlo,, tremendous machine
never . Not one hydrostatic gearbox is worth having in a loader like this. Stick to manual or powershift. Those transmissions last forever.
