Herrscher of Flamescion - inheritor of (Himeko's) Gem of Haste, borrows powers from Herrscher of Reason and Sentience through friendship, and then add them to her 2 cores of Serenity and Void. She has powers of 5 cores now. HI3 is a interactive, action packed, mostly voiced, visual novel with a rudimentary gacha system. No other games are like this ( I played hundreds), mobile games included. This is the ONLY game in the decades of playing games that had make me cry, not just once but twice.
Kiana has grown, She's become more mature and self-aware, Her past experience and trauma have made her who she is today, Which is also why she's such a great Scion for the core of Haste.
Chapters 1 & 2 of ER technically takes place between Chapter 25 and Chapter 26, but I don't think your experience will be negatively impacted even if you put it off until after Chapter 28. You will not be able to avoid the Elysian Realm when you get to Chapter 29, though you will be presented with a skip for Chapters 1, 2 & 3. I wouldn't recommend taking the skip personally, but we can help you figure out exactly what you'll be skipping when you get there.
btw, the story Himeko is talking about, it's a summarized version of what happened in the Alien Space manga. That's right, Second Eruption isn't the only prequel manga of this game. Himeko kinda goes all excited with Welt in there, because she believed Welt is also into alien and space stuff, when in truth, he was lying about it as a cover for what he really was getting involved for. The way Himeko acts in Alien Space, is very different than how she acted ingame. Great tragedy can change a person drastically. It's due to what happened in the Alien Space manga, why she gave up on her dreams she had as her life's goal, to be a teacher for Valkyries instead. I won't spoil things for Alien Space any further in this comment, aside from these last hints of story: Let's just say Himeko's dad met with Welt Yang, and Himeko's dad was doing some terrible things without telling his daughter, nor telling how he truly feels about her. I still need to finish reading Alien Space, I'm still putting off reading the rest of that manga
I really REALLY wish they would just implement the manga panels into the game's story , and just add the voice acting of the speech bubbles. It wouldn't be hard , the work is pretty much lrdy done, and people would be able to have a full story of the game without going online to read up on the comics.

They can justify the budget on these animation because it helps them sell new characters/battlesuits (Will of the Herrscher for HoV, Final Lesson for Vermillion Knight, Lament of the Fallen for HoT, Shattered Samsara for Senti, etc). It was easier to have them as story progression in HI3, because a new battlesuit could mean a new step in the progress of an already established character, and not a whole new character being introduced every time. With alternate versions of the same character being a thing in HSR (like Imbibitor Lunae), maybe we'll get a big story cinematic (possibly showcasing a new March or Himeko) in the style of HI3. We can hope at least.
Yeah, uh, you'll know how Siegfried survived using an attack that would kill a human normally to use it, if you read the manga. Specifically, the manga named 2nd Eruption. Sirin's story is there, as well as Siegfried and Cecilia's story. btw, if you're even slightly informed about MiHoYo's games (not counting Star Rail of course) you may notice some references there at one point
St. Freya I think does get restored by the time of APHO, as the male protag of APHO is stated to been the only guy enrolled in St. Freya, a school typically only girls get to enroll in, as for whatever reason, females have a better chance at handling Honkai than most males. That's not to say APHO MC was the only guy who could handle Honkai. We know of other males who could confront Honkai due to having good adaptability to Honkai energy, but they are very few.
the only reason fu hua isn't in the trio of bronya, mei, and kiana... she's already the main protagonist of her own story. No room for the other three. from Fu Hua's POV, the trio of HI3rd is just part of her MSQ, and her story continues past theirs.
btw, since I found you late and couldn't say all this when this stream was live, to answer your question what would the world be had Otto been killed off as a child due to some timetraveler: The world would be much worse than it already is in canon, and Theresa wouldn't exist, nor K423. What if, "Jackal", is the Current Era counterpart to Previous Era's Dr. Mobius? We don't see many mad scientists in Previous Era and Current Era, and both want to "experiment" on a Herrscher with a human will, although for different reasons. I dunno, I'm just spouting random junk of theorizing. Kinda interesting Jackal was stationed in Egypt, considering Anubis comes from beliefs in ancient Egypt. Who is often depicted as a Jackal. Also, it seems the codenames World Serpent assigns to it's members, are all of animals of some sort. And it isn't just World Serpent with that thing of having animal aspects or themes assigned to the game's characters. Susannah's Valkyrie Quicksand Battlesuit is themed after bears. Kiana's White Comet Battlesuit has the whole "Neko Charm" thing, where she summons giant can legs/paws to mimic her body movements in her attacks. There's probably more examples of animal theming, but I can't think more right now
btw, you in theory, should be able to catch up in the main story in less time than it took me. Because I first started playing this game BEFORE they trimmed out the filler stages in earlier chapters
