Trains at Hamburg-Landwehr with Br 112 + Dostos, Sv-Signal, NAH.SH KISS, S-Bahn and DT5

Hamburg-Landwehr, is an S-Bahn station in the Eilbek district of Hamburg and was opened in 1906 as part of the Hamburg-Altonaer city and suburban railway. The route was electrified from the start, although at that time it had a 6.3kv 25hz overhead line. After it was renamed S-Bahn in 1934, work began in 1940 to replace the overhead line with a 1200V third rail. Due to the Second World War and its consequences, the changeover lasted until 1955. During that time there was a mixed operation with alternating current and direct current railcars. The reception building, which remained undamaged during the war, was neglected over time and demolished in the 1970s. The parallel line to Lübeck was only electrified in 2008. The Landwehr station is now served by line S1 of the Hamburg S-Bahn. When the S4 line goes into operation, it will also stop here.
