We did our first cruise during the summer out of Ravenna, Italy to Croatia and Greece on Brilliance of the Seas. It was stressful planning the whole trip with a lot of firsts. We were travelling from Canada and meeting my mom in Rome who travelled from Ireland when the airport problems were at their worst. Due to a lot of careful planning on my part the vacation was a success.

oh no!!! It is true., I hate to think about all the things left in hotels and cruise ships. Should add this into my cost series on the true cost of sailing lol
Where does Mariner of the Seas fall? Just finished a Bermuda cruise. My first RCL cruise. Pluses and minuses but entertainment definitely fell in the negative column. Orchestra great, Dancers a 5, Singers not so great. (4) Food: very good, main dining room excellent, Playmakers a great light menu option. Overall: great crew and service lifting this ship to the “possible repeat cruise” category.
Mariner is a mid-size ship for Royal Caribbean. I always find the singers and dancers hit or miss too. Sometimes, I just don't like the show and no one can do well with it. Glad you were able to experience playmakers food. Think that is a big secret they offer food.
@@TheWeekendCruiser I’ve always wondered why cruise lines shyed away from a Sports bar theme. The food and atmosphere at Playmakers hit the target. With football season RCL have games scheduled for every night of the week.
