Did you know that eyepatches worn by pirates not for hiding or patching an eye that was damaged, but rather they were using it to adapt their one eye to see in darkness, so when an attack, boarding and such happens at night or navigating dark places they just switch eyes, atleast that's what i know, don't know if it's true thou, not a pirate m'self
@@acevace Doesn't sound true tbh. Pirates would be up every other night to man their ships anyway, so there'd be no need to adapt their eyes any further. There was no electricity back then and lamp oil was scarce so their ships were pretty dark at night. Plus, using only one eye at a time is a huge detriment as it f-ups your 3D vision which is essential for sailing, sword combat, and shooting. This sounds like a very good way to f-up your eyesight instead. Although, I'm not a pirate m'self either so who knows. We started at dawn and rode for five hard days and nights until we reached the shoreline. There was our ship shining in the noonday sun. Let's go, men, treasure is waiting in the distant lands.
"Get out of the way, you bunch of sea rascals, clear the way and let me see where those cannons will blast" Captain Hook's ship has arrived in the bay. The moon is half lit and the smoke from the pistols and muskets is still scenting .. a bleak mist creeps over the ground .... the pirate war has started

This music was absolute genius; really gave me that pirate feeling! I especially loved at 6:56 when the music takes a more quiet and serious tone with the choir and the sound effects of waves. That's when you know the music is good; when the music actually gives you images in your mind of a scene. At 6:56, I can see a crew of pirates rowing in a long boat close to the shore. The captain stands at the front with his boot propped on top of the bow while he clutches the hauling line in his hand to keep him steady. The boat makes it to shore and the pirates hop out in the surf. The captain looks at the dense jungle ahead of him through narrow eyes as the crew unloads shovels and a chest from the boat.Without a word, they begin their trek into the jungle while carrying their loot.
