Very nice thorough video, thank you. Ya…my 1990 sat for many years. The tank is full so that’s a problem with draining but I hope it had a positive effect on condensation. I’m now ready to do the repair with the help of your video. Wish me luck! 👍😊
1 more btw, back in 2009ish I see you had a Car I had bid on the 1970 Eldorado Factory Sunroof car (Firemist Color)..I believe it was Robert DeMars that sold it…👍
Thanks for all the nice comments.. the plastic part in the tank is where the fuel pump sits in and keeps in place so as not to be suspended fully on the sending unit pipes and to the upper part of tank.
Thank you for the information. I have a 1990 C4 L98, I replaced the whole unit , because I could not get a gas reading on my dash readout. After replacement of the unit, I still can not get a gasoline reading on my dash. Was wondering if anyone has had this type of problem. Not sure if there is a relay or something I can be looking at. Thanks
Good job Matt ... keep making the world smarter.
Btw, been watching (and looking at) your Internet site since 2001…Love all your Cars ..Best of the Best👍
Always awesome content Matt! Keep it comming.😊😊

The C4 has to be the easiest fuel pump to change out of all cars! Gotta be! Lol

Prob tank ground or wiring issue. Does your dash show full or empty?
@@gm-classics empty with movement
empty with no movement or fuel indication
Great vid. Well done. Whats that tray inside the tank ?. is that where fuel strainer sits. And love the tips on exhaust. 😀🦃
