That was super interesting. It’s a cool genre that’s standard in Japan but special to us westerners. It’d be fun if it could become more common here but that’s going to be difficult. Anyway, this was a great history lesson on this crazy ride of a genre.

This is a really neat little primer here, thanks for making this, I quite liked it. If I had any criticisms it would be that I think the rise of child-targeted sitcom tokusatsu warranted a mention. Things like Robocon leading into the Toei Fushigi Comedy Series are a fairly important piece of the medium
