Heeeeck yes for Riven Earth, it's one of my top contenders for the favourites of 2024 as well now! Can't wait for book 2 already. And so delighted to hear that Bound and the Broken has started off strong for you, I loved the discussion on Philip's channel, especially with some of the eerily accurate theories 👀Buckle up and happy reading!
Chris, thanks so much for mentioning Riven Earth (and for reading it!) Your support means a ton! I hope you enjoy the ending, and I'm looking forward to your review :)
I was pushing to have it read by release... I got close. I'm excited for your journey as an author, Zammar and wish you all the success with this release. I'm excited to get to that review this weekend.
I definitely want to read Riven Earth, sounds right up my alley! I'm actually eagerly awaiting A Princess of Oldir to read it! Loved the bloopers, happy reading!
Absolutely Usman! While not quite finished yet, I feel confident that this is a book you will like. It's a solid, Grimdark character-driven story. I'll be curious to hear how it lands for you.
I will be reading the “Memory, Sorrow & Thorn” Trilogy by Tad Williams over the Summer, just finished Edgar Rice Burroughs’ “A Princess of Mars” (#1 in his “Barsoom” series), a library copy from 1920, the British 4th Edition, 104 years old!
A great video of books here, Chris! I really need to get to The Bound and the Broken. And thanks for spotlighting A Princess of Oldir 😃. I can't wait to hear your thoughts on The Son of the Prophets!
Hope you enjoy tB&tB when you can get to it, Bryan. Looks like, in the meantime, you have been a writing machine. I need to catch up on your latest for sure. Glad to help spotlight your work, it's well deserved.
I'm sure Augustus will be a great reading experience. I think you would love Riven Earth, a very unique and solid debut so far. I have 30% still to read....
Thanks Johanna! I'm feeling confident I will enjoy Augustus. I have Stoner also (received as a gift) and apparently I had picked up Nothing But the Night at some point. I still need to grab a copy of Butcher's Crossing. They'll all make great palette cleansers for my otherwise heavy S/SF TBR. I'll let you know how it goes!
I’d kind of written off Bound and the Broke as one that probably wouldn’t be for me, but you may have convinced me to change my mind. I think I have The Fall on ebook, so I may start with that and see if I jive with it or not. Great to see you back. 🏴☠️🌊🐶 -T
Thanks T, I recommend reading The Fall first, it's a short novella so if Cahill's writing and world don't jive you would not have lost too much reading time.
I haven't read Augustus either. It'll happen at some point 😅 I've been i a bit of a fantasy slump, but now i'm getting out of it, so i'm really happy about that. Started The Tainted Cup last night
As much as fantasy (& sci-fi) is my go-to genre for reading, I hit a slump sometimes as well. That's where Augustus will come in for July. It will make a great palette cleanser. Let me know your thoughts on The Tainted Cup. I haven't heard too much about it yet.
I have Of Blood and Fire on my Kindle but I haven't gotten to it yet. And Laura has been on me about reading Augustus. Looks like you've had some awesome reading and I'm glad to see you back in the swing of things!
I get it Tom. That happens to me, sometimes even if I actually enjoyed the first book in a series. It's all about the mood you are in, IMO. Hope Memories of Ice is still going strong for you. I'm a few chapters in now.

I think Riven Earth will be one of my top reads as well for the year. What a debut! We'll be returning to Bound in the Broken in July!

Likewise, Excited to continue the series with you and everyone again in July! 🍻

I hope you enjoy Riven Earth as much as I did. I have to catch up with Bryan's 2nd book before APoO comes out. Happy read to you as well.
so glad to see you on a video! cool books and you know I love the blooper reels :)
Thanks Brian, slowly getting back to a routine here. Looking forward to your For Whom the Bell Tolls with Mads!
Great video Chris love the lighting you and John/ Jakob have got lighting nailed (lighting envy) 😊
Thank you so much Dee! I don't think my lighting game is up to par with John/Jakob but my cheap RGB lights do what they can. I appreciate you ☺️🙏🏼🍻
Thanks so much for putting Riven Earth on my radar! The way it looks and sounds, I’m hoping it’ll be a new favourite 🤘🏽

Awesome lineup! I read some Tad back in the day, his Otherland series. Memory Sorrow & Thorn is definitely still on my backburner TBR, - Enjoy!

Augustus is worth the hype, as are Stoner and Butcher’s Crossing! I can’t wait to hear your thoughts. Great weekly update, Chris!

If the fiscal year can run anytime, no reason weekly updates can't be the same 😂I need to try Cahill at some point I guess . . .
See, I like your way of thinking. Let me know if you start The Bound & the Broken, I'll be curious on your thoughts.
Stoked to hear your thoughts on of darkness and light when that’s read!
Can't wait to continue. Our group will pick this up again in July!

Ryan Cahill is probably long ways off for me, but I am currently reading Forsaken Planet and enjoying it.
Yes! Great book. Hope to start Bryan's Sons of the Prophets here soon
I really need to read of Blood and Fire at some point. I read the fall and thought it was good but just didnt feel the push to keep going
