Quick question. During the push press, should the athlete's feet ever leave the floor? I was taught that for a push press, the feet must remain on the floor, the athlete can drive onto the ball of his/her feet, but they should remain on the floor. Is this correct?
Good. It is American style of military press, that develops triceps. One should imagine of pressing up and backwards rather than strictly horizontaly. Only the bar to go pass the head. Try to show it with a weight wich equals your bodyweight. Otherwise your perfect style is just for kids. And there are other styles of doing military press and other presses as well. But overall good
IF YOU HAVE A YORK RACK LIKE THIS TAKE ALL THE SIX PLASTIC SPACERS OFF AND ITS A SHIT HOT RACK, BUT KEEP THEM ON AND ALL THE HEIGHTS FOR BENCH PRESS ARE OUT BY NEARLY THREE INCHES, IF YOU HAVE A REGULATION HEIGHT BENCH. I TOOK MINE OFF AND I LOVE THE RACK !!!!!!!!!!!!
Possibly the best explained coaching tips Ive come across.
