@@garys_stuff If they do such a release, I hope they include the markings for John Glenn's "MiG Mad Marine". I'm still waiting for Italeri to include the markings for Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin's F-86E in their 1:48 Esci repop. He was the second man on the moon, and he got at least one MiG in Korea.
Thank you. Looks a nice kit. I’m just starting the 1/72 version from Airfix. I’d like to try this kit too. As I’m not too experienced it’s nice to not be adding resin or photo etched parts at my skill level. I presume you used CA glue for many parts as they were pre painted? If so, which glue do you find best and what’s the best way to apply it? Thank you for a very detailed explanation of the build. I enjoyed watching it very much and have subscribed.
No, I use regular polystyrene cement most of the time - I only use CA for resin or photo etch or occasionally as a kind of tack weld like for the spars on the Vulcan.
Absolutely. You know how some kits, like the 1/72 P-40 Warhawk, look and feel 'crisp'? This doesn't. Just something not quite in focus about it. Lovely kit though.
Hi Jason, I use Vallejo Metal Colour. You use a black gloss primer then the colour on top. There is a variety of aluminium and other metals - I use the burnt iron for exhausts.
Thanks Gary. I especially enjoyed the vintage footage.
Cheers Ian, good to hear that!
A truly beautiful jet! Love the swept wing design. Thanks for the history lesson, I really love them. Thanks for sharing. Happy days and model on! 😎
Thanks, you too!
Thank you Gary Most enjoyable history and build.
Glad you enjoyed it!!
Very Enjoyable to watch.
Glad you enjoyed it! Cheers!
Lovely model and great video!
Cheers John!
Great job!
Thanks!
Great work, Gary. I hope Airfix release a US Korean War Aces boxing of this kit.
That would be an excellent idea!

The moulding seems to look very much like a computer 3d picture. A tad soft
