    Hey, I still dont understand why ppl run after ib/consulting especially when I have seen majority ppl quit after 2 years. I am going into one of holy Trinity this year but wanted to get into big firms like flipkart, ABG, amazon, mondelez. But seeing that these investment banks and consulting firm are called on campus before them I have started to get confused. I dont want be the fool who aimed at day 1 companies and left the day -1 and day 0 firms.

    • @InsiderGyaan
      @InsiderGyaan  3 года назад +2

      I think they paid more so called in day 1, and now everyone wants to get a day 1 job so they end up getting the best candidates always, and hence people continue to think best people go to consults / IB 😛 1 good point about them are these are kind of generalist fields giving you a lot of learning experience in a short time. But ur aim of going into the industry and tech makes sense, and if you can, stand your ground because Amazon abg etc are great places to work with good work life balance and that is important too!

And then after few years work experience, going to HBS or Upenn. Which is quite common in USA, to get in MBB after undergrad! But in India after undergrad opportunities doesn't seem too prominent!
