Oh my! I lived and served in a homeless community as a missionary for 2 1/2 years! I left when I was completely depleted of anything left to give and I was exhausted! I’ve felt a bit guilty when I left, but just last night I went to pick up an old friend from that community and took her to dinner. It was a huge eye opener and very cathartic for me. I now see how strong, brave and courageous I was to have lived and served there for the time I did. Most people don’t even f*cking care about people on the streets. A large part of the population in our society don’t see the homeless as human or people. It’s crazy and I feel crazy for having served, but I was called to do it and DAMN! It was challenging. In that moment, I didn’t see if or how it was making any difference. I asked myself ‘What am I doing here?’ I felt crazy. After last nights experience, I am released and free. I now see the difference I made in the lives of others. I sold my house and sacrificed myself to live and serve there, it changed me in MAJOR ways! Thank you, Susan, for the reading 🙏🏻

Blessings, I work at the Cathedral Center a homeless shelter for women and children. The church donated a small building part of their building. I don't know if that has anything to do with that card you pulled but it sure looks like the card you pulled we are in the center of downtown. I always wonder why God Open that door for me to work their. But when I came back to my hometown to get clean of meth I asked God if this is where I need to be then open the doors for a job a vehicle and a home . He did just that I am 5 years 4 months clean today. I love my job I just wish my pay was more I make only $15.50 which is hard to live off these days but I'm never without . I feel I have more compassion than😊 others that work there so I stay.

I work with Special Education with autistic children it can be draining at times but I love what I do. It's not for the faint at heart. Just got a transfer I was waiting for since the summer break. Finely got it. I start tomorrow at my new location. I should celebrate next weekend. I didn't give up and made it to this point. It was a hard road to take had to fight through it.
