I remember back in med school people would say snarky comments to me for having my hair nicely blow dryed or even wearing mascara...I would get some students saying omg i wish i had time to brush my hair...or i can't even remember when i wore makeup last...these comments are so stupid....yes i woke up 30 mins earlier ....i chose not to review for a test, or even eat breakfast or workout some days....because I wanted to do things i enjoy for myself.why do we have to be judged and penalised...and don't get me started when I wore winged eyeliner!

Your so right! If you only focus on school and don’t ever do anything to pamper yourself or enjoy life then you might end up resenting your career.

“Medical school is for classy people” that person probably sits on their ass at home eating takis watching greys anatomy. Not knowing anything about what it’s like being in med school. You could live your life and be who you are regardless of where you are. U don’t have to put on a mask for people who thinks u should act a certain way. Keep being u love. I loved the video. I love seeing your balanced life through med school! I'm in year 4, graduating next month. It's so important to live life fully like you are. Eat well, exercise, have fun and sleep well! These are all important to be a great doctor, self-care is a core part of health - the knowledge will come as we train more! :) I hate how people think certain people can't be in medicine. But the thing is medicine is so diverse and we need this for medicine to be inclusive 😄

I found your channel last week in the middle of a college crisis thinking I should just give up because I couldn't be studying 24/7. I swear you just made me realize that really I doesn't have to be that way, that K can actually live while doing med school. Please never stop doing these kind of vlogs, they are amazing!!xx

Right now I’m in year 10 and I always thought I would have to lose who I was or would always have to be serious when it comes to studying for a career in medicine so I’m so grateful to you for showing that it’s okay to have fun and be who you are when choosing to be a medical student now I actually cannot wait.

The fact you twerk makes me want you as my doctor even more. So many medical students are so uptight and judgemental how refreshing someone NORMAL and fun loving is going to be a doctor.

But also as a 2nd year premed I found that it’s completely okay to try new things and/or invest in your interests , that’s why I’m currently on my schools cheer team and do gymnastics open gyms every week ;) just thought I’d share 😊

I am in LOVE with there being someone that I can watch who isn't studying for hours a day and has a life! I am also a medical student and honestly seeing someone I can relate to on so many levels helps me out. I don't feel imposter syndrome as much and I don't get guilt from not working every spare second of the day. Thank you!

You don't have to prove to youtube that you're "worthy" of being a future doctor...to even GET IN is a massive accomplishment on its own. People on the internet just like to run their mouths because they don't know how to balance their own lives. I am a pre-med student with a 3.9 GPA, living my BEST life and taking care of myself. Do you have any tips for exams and revising? I’m a first year medical student and just struggling finding the best way to revise and learn all the new content! Really agree with u on the work life balance tho! It’s so so important especially for mental health and sometimes makes u forget that youre a medical student like u said lol

As one myself and just by looking around at my friends and other prom mates, no one lives the "100 percent" study life we see on youtube, though i know some may be like that but it's far from reality, we're still humans and young adults living through our twenties

I find the differences really interesting! I think it’s also important to remember this isn’t what a typical week looks like for us because of COVID
