    so no it's not the same as your bank.

    • @SmartMoneywithKai
      @SmartMoneywithKai  2 года назад +1

      Hi there and thanks for your comment. Agreed, it's not the same as a bank, I think it's better😉 You are right, there is a risk of them getting hacked, but don't forget, the same is true for your bank, email account, etc. Both of them have insurance up to a certain amount, but even at your bank you are at risk of loosing above a certain amount. Plus the invisible loss of your money every day through inflation, is a reality, most people don't grasp as the amount stays the same, but it is actually less as the purchasing power is greatly reduced. Like anything, there is a risk vs reward balance here. Just like planes can crash and stocks can go to zero. Ultimately, everyone needs to do what they feel comfortable with and for me I feel more comfortable with them than with my bank.

    Hi Kai, Thanks for explain features and tips on nexo!
    I’ve heard from a couple of mates who work in American auditing firms and they said that Nexo has 97% of chances of being liquidated by year end as their numbers are inaccurate. Just like what happened with Celsius, a lot of people are discussing that Nero’s founder is trying to defend by saying they are not a part of 3fa. However, please let me know what should I do as I have my money in 6 digits and I need a safe place to earn yield on it, talks about nexo is really getting me worried after seeing what happened with Celsius, we cannot ignore the fact that it cannot happen to Nexo. Please give me your recommendations, will be really helpful!
    Cheers

      Hi Shreyash, thanks for your comment and good point, I will actually post a video on this tonight with my views on Nexo. Look, if you have 6 figure crypto holdings, I would definitely say, but a majority of it on a hardware wallet for time being, risking all this for a few percent of staking might not be worth it. Then again, Nexo so far has been holding up well. Of course, nobody knows the real data, but they are being audited in real time by a seemingly legit auditing company, that state that their assets exceed their liabilities, which is very healthy, by how much, nobody knows. Of course, should Crypto drop further, to below $10K let's say, a lot more exchanges will run into liquidity problems so better not to risk it. My main holdings I have on Ledger, rest all in Nexo to get cashback and staking rewards.

    Kai, awesome as always. I’ll add in order to be eligible for the zero-cost credit lines, we have to have a LTV of 20.00% or below, otherwise we will have a daily interest of 6.9% daily on High LTV interest rate. I hope that this one helps. I’m talking based on my own experience since my LTV credit line was 41.23% and I payed interest rate on my credit of 6.9%. Cheers 🍻

      Hi there and thanks a lot for sharing, much appreciated and great to see you joining the Nexo team as well😉
      It actually depends on which coin you add to your credit line and which loyalty level you are. I used to use BTC as my collateral at Platinum level, which has a LTV of 50%, if you stay under that it will be at 0%. Nexo Coin though only has a LTV of 15%, much lower as it's a more volatile coin, but at the same time, you can put all of it in your credit line and still get staking rewards on it and you can just repay your card whenever you get close to 15%, fee free apparently, only the loan should not be repaid before 30 days. Cheers mate.

    Loving the video thank you! Question, if I had the choice to deposit fiat or USDC which is the best option? And if I were to borrow USDC, would putting it back in as a deposit on Nexo be a good move or would putting it on a stable coin LP yield aggregator like beefy be a good idea? Thank you

    • @SmartMoneywithKai
      @SmartMoneywithKai  2 года назад +1

      Hi Jacob, thanks a million, much appreciated🙏 Great question. In case you already have USDC on another exchange I think it would be the fastest to transfer it over to Nexo and start using it how you see fit, either as collateral to get a Crypto Loan, for the Nexo Card as Collateral or to stake and get daily interest. If you don't have any USDC you want to transfer, then FIAT deposit is straightforward, though it takes a few days to arrive. As for Beefy, I haven't tried it so I can't comment, I guess depends how much staking rewards they offer compared to the level of risk. Just checked on Nexo you get for your USDC 10% APY paid daily and even 12% APY if you chose to get paid in Nexo which will help you keep the highest loyalty level to get the highest rewards. So from my side, I can really recommend Nexo wholeheartedly. Hope that helps. Happy investing🚀

    Hi Kai, Thanks for another great video. Let me just add one thing about repaying the outstanding loan. I think you only need to wait the 30 days when you take on a collateralized loan. If your outstanding loan is only from the nexo card payments you can repay without having to wait the 30 days to get 0% interest. I did my card repayments every time I maxed out my nexo 15% LTV. Around every 15 days or so depending on my expenses. I used EUR I keep on nexo to do these repayments so I don’t know if there are any fees when doing repayments with other assets. But I do repay under 30 days at 0% interest.

      Hi Phillip thanks a lot and wow, yet another golden nugget of knowledge, that's great to hear. I haven't reached a full month of using the Card yet so couldn't say for sure, but hearing it from you, I will actually do the same as you, put all my Nexo in Credit Line, max out the 15% LTV and then repay whenever close to that, if there is no fee on early repayment, then it's really the perfect card at this stage I would say. Thanks a lot for sharing.

    1m fixed term BTC will accrue 8% APR with payout monthly. Flex term will accrue 7% APR, but payed daily. The APY for flex term with daily payment should be higher than the APY for fixed term with only monthly payment, right?

      Hi Lawrence, good point. 1% is indeed for the first month on all transaction and afterwards you can upgrade your plan and choose for 3 or 6 suppliers respectively, where you'll get 1% on transaction through them. Another option is to refer your friends & family. For each referral (which doesn't cost them anything to sign up) you'll get an additional month of 1% on all transactions plus GBP 15 sign up bonus, which is pretty nice. That's what I am doing. In addition it has a lot of other perks like having all your cards as part of one card, good analytics & ability to go back in time and change a specific card for a specific transaction up to 30 days. Cheers.

    • @SmartMoneywithKai

      Well basically you can take a loan against your Crypto holdings. So for example if you had €10K worth of Bitcoin in your Nexo account, you could borrow €5K immediately and without any fees, depending on your Nexo loyalty level. If you wanted to repay that loan it is advisable to wait at least 30 days not to incur interest fees. Hope this helps. Cheers

    Paying after 30 days forces you to put more crypto in the account which I dont like. That was the major drawback for me to not get the card. If you have little money in the account you can barely use the card with the maximum benefits. Still a cool concept tho

    • @SmartMoneywithKai
      @SmartMoneywithKai  2 года назад +1

      Hi Michel, thanks for sharing your feedback. As I didn't have the card for 30 days yet, one of the subscribers just informed me that the 30 day limit to repay only applies to the Loan, the Card can be repaid before 30 days without and fees so you put Nexo token into the Credit Line to use as collateral, get 7% p.a. staking rewards paid daily, plus 2% Nexo cashback on every transaction and repay let's say weekly or whenever the outstanding get close to 15% LTV of your Nexo holdings and it will all be at zero cost and without any lock-up, meaning you could sell or move all your holdings at any time. Of course, it's a personal choice, but objectively speaking, I think this makes it one of the most attractive cards at the moment at least in my eyes. Have a successful week ahead.

I agree with you regarding NEXO LTV Dashboard, would be great to see. Of course you can roughly calculate depending on what you stake. If Nexo Token, which is good as you still keep getting interest on it while it's used as collateral its 15% LTV. But if you want to be safe and not get charged interest, you can also add other Crypto in the Credit Line Wallet so it would use that before charing you interest. But yes, it could be easier visible, but they have improved a lot, so I have no doubt such feature might be added in due course. All the best and hope all will be sorted out with your funds.
