My son got accepted to the college of his choice but they gave no aid. Another school he got accepted to gave him a substantial merit scholarship. I reached out to meet with the financial aid office of the school that gave no aid and I appealed. They ended up accepting the appeal and gave him a merit school worth 40% of the total attendance cost each year. If you receive a scholarship from another school you can use that to support your appeal to the preferred school.

Hi Ed. For an international applicant that aims to apply for financial aid/ scholarship, is there a difference between early action or regular admission? If the applicant's personal statement or essay is not fully ready - should we go ahead with early action or would it better to work on the essay and apply through regular admission ? TQ
