Manhattan is expensive but other places in New York aren’t. I live in the Bronx which is about forty five minutes away from Manhattan by train. It has more reasonable prices than Manhattan. Also, you need to be really careful walking around in Manhattan because I heard those characters also steal things. Just really be aware of your surroundings and you’ll be fine.

the same thing happened to me when my family was in ny. i was minding my own business and suddenly the characters came up from behind me and told my mom to take a picture. this was the first time we had been in ny so we didn’t know it was a scam until they made my mom pay $10 per person (there were 6 of them). i was so mad and it just made me hate nyc so much

I'm glad your In my city and I know it's expensive but a lot of times it's pretty fun and it has a nice view when the sunsets/sunrise❤
You said that it's 25° degrees there it's usually 0° to 15° max here and the hottest part of the year is in summer but it's only 25° there and it was snowing in march this year which doesn't really make sense because it never snows here in Ireland this is good thing not a bad comment by the way

actually in the US they use fahrenheit and we use celsius here in canada, which are two different measurements of temperature. so 30 degrees fahrenheit is actually -1 degree celsius :))

Something like that happened to my family. We were on a cruise and stopped at St Kitts which is known for its monkey population. (They outnumber the human population 10-1 or something like that.) There was a guy walking around with monkeys that we assumed were his pets. Mom asked if we could pose with the monkeys for a picture and he said yes. It was after that that we realized that you had to pay to have your picture taken. Thankfully we got away without having to pay the guy.
It's an strategic way to destroy someone else by collaboration with them after they acted as your friend ; ( in bigger scales) lol
