As per a recent request, here is the Forest Temple from Ocarina of Time, featuring an ambience track. This is probably not one to add to your relaxing soundscapes playlist, as the intention here was to create an unsettling ambience to go with the music. Listen carefully and you may hear the voice of Saria calling for help as she wanders lost through the temple, trapped and alone, or Link's footsteps as he too wanders the temple's twisting passages, looking for his lost friend.

The ambient soundscape behind the theme makes this track really unsettling. I will occasionally run Forest Temple in the background, but THIS version induces anxiety.
It moves the threats of the temple out of the "game" world and into the "real" world. Well done!

As a kid, I remember being scared of Forest Temple just because of the music. This version is perfect, with all the extra sounds, it's even creepier than usual. Rather than trying to do a remix as most do (because one could never do a better job than the original in this particular case), I like your idea of simply enhancing the original. The only possible improvement I could think of, is It could use more sounds of wallmasters dropping onto you, I distinctly remember that as being the scariest sound to me in OoT as a kid, and there are a few of them in Forest Temple so it fits.

Back in the day, people thought it was weird that I liked these tracks bc it's video game music. But these people don't understand the nostalgia behind it.

I have to facepalm at the people complaining about additional sounds on an "ambience" track. If you want just the game audio look for any of the hundreds of available tracks people have uploaded from the OST.

Really love this temple music. Super eerie. I think it would be better without the random sound effects, though. But that's just my personal opinion.
