- Опубликовано: 28 сен 2024
- As we were cleaning out 10 years of accumulated stuff in our barn, we discovered one load-bearing wall had fallen off the foundation. We show you how we approached trying to salvage the barn shed which involved calling on a friend for some engineering help and applying a lot of on-the-spot problem solving.
If you haven’t already, check out Crazy Russian Hacker. He is hilarious!

We just had to replace the walls of a 25 year old shed. What you had to do made ours look pretty easy. Good job making the best out of a bad situation!
Absolutely fantastic video, on the edge of my seat at times, laughing my but off at the goats peaking around the corner and of course, I watch Crazy Russian Hacker and I almost fell out my chair laughing when Jeremy imitated him. Great job on fixing your problem.
You guys are awesome! Jeremy is a genius. I looked at that sketch and said "what?". How he took that sketch and fixed the shed is genius. I love the inspiration you guys give.
Soooooo STRESSFUL!!!! I knew it was going to turn out great, even so I don't think my heart could have taken it if I had been standing there watching. Ya'll ROCK!!!
I am so impressed by everything you did. I must say that I had to hide my eyes at times..afraid the shed was going to come crashing down on you... GOOD JOB
+raven bard - 👍🏻😊
A new life for an old shed - truly ingenious! Would love to see it when it's all set up and ready for use.
Rowena Hagen Watch 'til the end. Jaime got all that stuff sorted and back in there including the hay.
Creative fix. Great video!!
You guys are the BEST. Most interesting videos, funniest, nicest, ...all-around best. Thanks for spending so much time and effort to show the rest of us your journey and adventures.
I was biting my nails the whole time, but WOW, you are amazing!!!! we would have hooked the truck to that center beam and hit the gas and started over, but awesome that you saved it!!!!
Oh my gosh you guys! Great work. Love your sense of humor. 😂 Jeremy, your moon walk with beer-was amazing. (And much deserved!) cheers guys.
Great job guys, I was hoping and praying that it would work out ok for you. Havent laughed so much in ages either at the end. Well done both of you xx
Really impressive! Jeremy did such a great job! You're both pretty awesome.
*Pro Tips on Bottle Jacks* -- Never place a bottle jack directly on cinder block. You can use cinder block in the stack, but the base of the jack needs to be on wood. Also when using cinder blocks, be sure to center the jack over the center divider of the cinder block. Never use the flat side of the cinder block. Always place it so the holes are vertical, then top it with a 2x8 if you need to use it for your jack. Instead of the blocks, you could use some pads, then a piece of wood. Remember to center. Cheers!
I just love your husband he has a never give up spirit,(old enough to be his mom) great job I was sitting on the edge of my chair when you were jacking up the wall.
What a job! What skill! What a moon walk!😁 fantastic job on the barn
You two are so cute together, love the moon walk. Jeremy you have a gift. I was so scared while you were lifting that wall. Great job 👍🤗
Jeremy is amazing! Excellent work and such an improvement!
BOOM Awesome! Except I felt really good & accomplished about myself with the tomato cages I built this evening until I saw this. Holy snap!

Jeremy's ingenuity empresses the heck out of me, too!
You had some serious job to do there guys, great job! I liked that you had fun in the process. :)
WOW! I'm not into this kind of stuff. But, I watched both videos. I just love y'all. AWESOME job! With MJ and the Russian Hacker to boot. lol Loved it!! This looked like it took a week!!
+theIAMofME - ❤️ took 2 days!
Great job you guys. Shed looks awesome. Extra thumbs up for awesome dancing! 👍👍
GREAT site! I will be spending Mothers Day with you two, fooey on the wife (lol). I am totally amazed at how much weight those rotted boards could handle, AMAZING! I expect your channel to grow rather quickly, you do a fantastic job.......
+Tomm Marree Thanks for hanging out with us!
Excellent work. You are a great team.
Best gloves ever! Get a ten pair pack at costco for about 10 bucks. Good rubber gripping for grabbing and holding onto awkward stuff like slick heavy sheet good panels like drywall, masonite, species wood plywood panels, carrying out wood furniture or when installing kitchen cabinets. The heavy knit backs offer breathability so your hands don't get hot and sweaty. And when they get all muddy or really dirty you can wash them in a bucket of soapy water and hang them up to dry! Best gardening gloves too.
so a simple "Let's clean out the shed" turned into a shed jacking and moving experience.
sorry about the shed, but it does make for good video.
a great video even with "BLEH" from the goats.
I can see future videos of repairing and/or fixing the shed.
great job guys.
I started watching you guys a while ago, and I thought you had potential.
Now we are seeing that potential.
my hat (not that I wear one) is off to you.
What a good couple you are and how well you support each other - don't usually watch this type of video but have been following you and was hoping for this download when I saw the other video. Enjoyed it very much.
We very much appreciate you watching. 👍🏻
That was awesome guys! Please bring the Russian back in more videos and please tell me you are going to make a Guildbrook Farm t-shirt that says "You can't moonwalk on gravel"! I will buy that right now!
+Chick-a-Woof Ranch - I'm trying to get in touch with the real CrazyRussianHacker lol. And I might just make that t-shirt hahaha!
The shed looks good, well organized, and another funny video.Thanks.
Thanks for sitting through it. I know it was a long one!
when I saw Clarks drawing I thought, wow their friend is Clark Griswold. lol. I also have a similar project coming up on a carriage house built in 1900. thanks for the help.
+Tony Sand - 😂
That was amazing. Great job Jeremy!
+L Ah - 👍🏻
lol i liked the crazy russian hacker impersonation
Quite the "project" you guys uncovered. Jeremy stepped up to the task bigtime. Nice job! Oh and I LOL at the ending. I thought you were joking about doing the moon walk! :D
The moonwalk is no joke
Great job, I knew you guys would get it fixed up. But I'm sure it was quite nerve-wracking and a little scary until completed.
That is an awesome shed!
im impressed,,i couldnt do that,,but i learned a lot,,thanks for sharing
Wow! That was crazy! And you guys are hilarious. I might have to borrow your idea of bloopers at the end of the video. I've had plenty of those and was thinking that I eventually need a bloopers video.
Yeah there always seem to be plenty of outtakes. :-)
Great job Jeremy!!! I had to cover my eyes once or twice and say "oh my god, please don't fall on him." Lmao! Glad the shed is repaired!!! Looks great!!!
+Laura Pelotte - Thanks! 👍🏻
Wow!! I'm knocked out by your ingenuity and brave construction!! Fabulous! ;) cate
+CjC - 👍🏻Thanks Cate!
OMG! Clark is a genius! I wondered how in the world you were going to be able to fix that and ya did it!! You could see the daylight disappear as you closed it up. Cool video! Time for a quick moonwalk and some beer drinking ;)
+Cindy Kester - 🍺🍺🍺
Well done!
Great job, thank you for sharing
Awesome job! If you still need to replace the planks, you could always blue line up to a point where you have good wood ripsaw the bad off. slide a z channel under the good wood and replace with good planks the lower section you sawed off.
+Autumn Oaks Farm - Yes!
Awesome job! You guys are great!
love all your video! we have subscribed ! I have a thought for replacing your outside boards , slab wood . I did our 9'X20' shed it worked great! cost us about 20.00 in slabs and 30.00 in fuel and the pieces we couldn't use , we cut into kindling . Just some food for thought and keep up the fantastic work you do . You are all an inspiration to us .
Thanks Tracey and welcome to the channel!
Great job!! Thanks for sharing 4 sure.
hello,, barn looks nice ,,,very nice,, you guys did a great job,,l

Wow, guys! This is super impressive. Your videos usually are, but this one really... I mean, wow!
You guys are pretty cool. Thanks for sharing this project. I hope I never need to do this, as I imagine lots of frustrated crying and curse words, but if I do, I know now its fixable. 😊
Very intense.
amazing job!
good job , jeremy !!
Thanks Peter 👍🏻
Impressive!
I had no doubt you guys could handle the job
Good job on that repair
Beautiful work good job

I knew he would get the job done and I was impressed !!!!!))) Good job you guys!!!)))🐐🐐🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓👍🏼😊
You guys are just too cool. Impressive.
+Susie Que - Thanks 👍🏻
Good job jeremy
lol! I had absolutely NO doubt that Jeremy would fix it and make it better than before! Yes! He is awesome!
Whoa! Awesome.
Yup he's a keeper!!!!! Awesome video! Loved the Russian accent, lmao
Moon walk and drink beer🤣
Your husband is awesome!!!
Why do people turn concrete blocks sideways. The strength in a block is with the cells (openings) vertical.
Bravo! I would have had a bonfire!
Great job, my son in law would have done it in a similar way.🙃🙃🙃
Nice video about golden arms )
You can take off siding cut to 4' and put on other siding 4' .
NICE
What you need Jeremy, is a Tirfor (or two) - especially on your new farm ! - A Tirfor is a great piece of kit to have for manually pulling and lifting all sorts of heavy loads, stuck vehicles, otherwise dangerous precarious trees, construction jobs, and erection of pre-framed walls etc, dragging very heavy loads, and is great for pulling over long distances, as well as short distances. I recommend the 1.6 ton model, for most applications, but the 3/4 ton model is much easier to carry and deploy quickly, but provides only half the force of the 1.6 ton model. And the biggest unit will pull 3.2 tons - See... ruclips.net/video/jyDKjmxTkEM/видео.html
Your going to plumb the post 😜
He has moves too
I think that was BUILT rotten! I would have supported the walls under the trusses and used a home made lever lift or bottle jack and 4”x4” posts....?then i could slide the wall onto the “foundation” from OUTSIDE the structure. Then paint it thick with ‘orange lacquer’ or what now is called Kills
no roll in the hay?😁😁😁
👍
hey guys, been watching your vids for a while now but just realized i hadnt subbed ya yet so now i have,.. we have a small homesteading/family vlog too. check it out if you have time
Welcome (officially) to the channel! We will definitely check out what is going on at your place!
You are going to the top of "best video" I've seen all week. Funny.!......and successful outcome too.
I laughed so hard at the Russian assent "safty is numerous one priority" this whole video was a pleasure to watch glad the shed project worked out.
Great vid! And awesome suggestion about the RussianHacker guy. In a half sane world, he would have his own TV Show doing all sorts of crazy experiments. It's quite educational in a fun way! Sure beats a lot of what's on youtube. In any case, great work to you and your fam - keep it up!
That sounds like my husband and his brothers "he is either a genius or an ass."
Lol That was pretty awesome! You guys crack me up. Nice instructional video.
Oh the suspense was killing me lol.
I completely cracked up. !!! "Poison ivy, poison ivy, poison ivy" I Can't quit laughing. Funniest thing I've heard all day. Thanks.
Glad to see you got it DONE! Great Job!
Thanks! It was quite the project. Glad it's behind us now.
"Hold my beer and watch this...." Nice job!!!!
wow what an awesome job !!! great Russian hacker impression to because safety is number one priority ;) I can't believe how well that project went. wow!!
Cracking up laughing! I love the Crazy Russian Hacker and that was the best impersonation ever! I really enjoy how your personalities are coming out more in your videos. Great job. Looking forward to the next video.
+az gardener - 😂
I enjoyed this one especially. You showed all the dilemmas and challenges that you experienced along the way. Much better than just showing a perfected project. It was a real person solving a real problem. Plus I liked the dumpster fire.
:-) Thanks. We don't pretty anything up around here. It is what it is.
Research, hard work and ingenuity sure beats the costs of putting up a new barn, nicely done.
The impression made my day👌😂😂
Great job guys!!
+Atom 98 - Boom!
🌜 🚶 & 🍺 .....
NOW THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT 👏🏽 lol
WELL DONE JEREMY, SO GLAD TO SEE
THAT YOU FINISHED OFF THE WALL

+Josh Teasdale - There doesn't seem to be any shortage of adventures, for sure!
You two have quickly become one of my favorite families/couples on RUclips! You're just too cute. Love your interaction with each other and YES your hubby is awesome. Amazing job!! Plus the beer and moonwalk at the end was great! HAHAHAHAHA Take care and God Bless. 💞Lisa
