    Ok thank you! I thought I bought a fruitless olive tree. It’s flowering now and might be too close to our pool. Any tips on how to trim this tree?

      Thanks for watching! There’s a great product we use to prevent olive trees from fruiting. Here’s the link!

      Something that doesn’t get too dense of a canopy and doesn’t get super tall. Check out Cercidium or Prosopis.

    Wife wants olive tree that doesn't go really tall like less than 12-15ft and fruitless. Would you know such variety?

      Swan Hill would be the best bet. It can get taller than that, but they grow so slow they are very easily maintained at a lower height.

    Do they have invasive roots.

      Fairly non invasive. In their old age they do tend to form a large trunk base, so just be aware of your planting space.

    I planed to buy a tea olive and they said his flower and smell is so good . But i mistakenly bought an olive plant . The owner said this one has no flower but olive. Is it two different plant ? I’m so confused 😂

      Sounds like you were looking for Osmanthus fragrans, but instead got Olea (Olive). This is why it’s crucial to order plants by the botanical name instead of the common name. Plants can have multiple or misleading common names causing confusion. Osmanthus is sometimes referred to as a Tea Olive or Sweet Olive. This can cause confusion for folks looking for actual Olive trees or vise versa. I hope this helps!

    can fruitless olive trees grow in humid countries?

    • @BudgetPlants
      @BudgetPlants  3 месяца назад

      Potentially, it depends on the individual micro climate. It would of course need well drained soil. It’s worth a try!
