Not only are these screaming audience members diminishing the emotional impact for the the dancers, and for themselves, but they are also breaking up the emotional impact to other viewers, like myself. I don’t understand why you would not want to experience this art while it’s happening and give your appreciation afterwards. I am assuming this constant applause is being encouraged by production? Why?Frustrating
I never minded applause but the screaming always drove me crazy especially on really heartfelt pieces. I know dancers have said they don’t mind it and it encourages them but I will never understand it.
Dancers today are stronger but lack connection. 10 years ago this show was better because the dancers actually moved together and told a story. Art is lost today in this show. There should be a motive behind movement. I see a lack in acting too. It’s now forced and not truly understood. Too bad when technique is impressive.
It seems like genuine emotion potrayed through art is lacking. Especially on these shows. I get bored. Or maybe there is just to much talent to be seen since it is all over the internet now ?
Jannette & Brandon's tango was the BEST tango ever on the show. I don't think they got nearly enough credit for how good they were as a duo. They had some really great performances. Jannette went home far too early that season.
Truly. Their Disco performance is still one of my all time favorites. And the Cha-cha was also fantastic. Jeanette just got terrible luck with her final week of performances
That season had some great dancers. My top 3 favorites were Jeanine, Jeanette, and Brandon. I was super torn between wanting Jeanine or Jeannette to win because they were both phenomenal. I do think Jeannette went too early, but at the end of it all I'm glad Jeanine won that season. She is still one of my favorite dancers from the show.

I doubt it.. I have seen all the routines done by Lauren.. She's above them.. She's already an allstar during the competition.. I am also a fan of Ashley Galvan.. She's also injured rehearsing a performance and decided to leave early for the sake of her health.. I thought maybe the choreographers pushed them so hard..
These are so nice to watch. Travis is an excellent choreographer. Jeanine in season 5 was great, but I often think Janette should've won. Either way, I was happy with the outcome because they both were amazing. And then there's Melanie and Marko, who had some of the best chemistry as a couple.
I wish the audience would SHUT UP. Cannot stand the constant wooing and screaming...these pieces are really beautiful and deserve respect - this isn't dance class at the studio lol
It's 2024, and Brandon and Janette are still my favorite dance duo. I wish they had added my favorite routine when they danced a Jazz number to Ruby Blue by Roisin Murphy choreographed by Wade Robson. It was their last dance as a duo that season. Unfortunately, soon after they separated Jeanette left due to lack of votes and Brandon ended up coming in second.
@@brendatuttle8722 Robert did not nearly get enough credit for being such a good dancer, he was really underrated. I loved him but I think the judges were really harsh on him that season. And then its like they forgot all the criticism when he came back as an all star. But his all star dances were top notch.
I have professional dancersb choreographed by dance choreographers celebrities were and i do this zendaya and bella thorne many many years ago right now lot that's lot
Why does it feel like all these dances are just a bunch of dancers falling down dramatically? Why dont they just focus on REAL dance moves instead of weird, eccentric movements?
that's kinda just contemporary dance. there isn't much codified vocabulary. most of is it is kinda just falling, weight shifts, and shapes with some vocabulary from other styles. "contemporary dance" also has evolved from the time period after modern dance to sort of catch all for mixed style or experimental dance. and this is contemporary partnering which really is just how two bodies can flow, share weight, and move each other.
and this is mainly a handful of choreographers's work, and they were expected to create a lot. you are going to see similarities even if only because that is their sort of signature
God I miss those good ol days!!! The Vienesse Waltz is so gorgeous and we never see it anymore! The choreography the first 10 seasons was phenomenal
Agreed 🥰🥰
YES!!!!!! Turn To Stone is my all time favorite!!! Melanie and Marko were magic!
The audience ruins contemporary pieces. Keep your mouth shut until the show is over!

i personally as a dancer believe that the cheering is encouraging and makes me feel like i’m doing good
@@cadiza315 couldn't have said it better myself 👍

Yup! They really need to go back to the original model. That's how partners built up chemistry over the weeks. This new model doesn't work.
Yes and now it’s all about tricks verses the story and emotion

I think a lot of it has todo with the choreographers
I totally agree !!!
RIP Danny. He was taken too soon.

Janette was brilliant. She was my favorite dancer that season.
Jeanette appeared for several seasons of Strictly Come Dancing and is now a presenter. She also met her husband on Strictly.

Yes, a really great session. Jeanette was wonderful. Brandon loved her as a partner and she loved him and it shows,
Amy and Travis Wicked Games should be in top 10! So good
Travis was so nervous about this performance, but it’s so beautiful. It feels like they completely forgot that there was an audience.
The leap from Amy where she’s basically lying on the ground is PERFECTION my god
That Tango was everything!!
Lacey and Danny look like they’re straight out of a Disney movie like they just flow so well it’s magical
Yaya and Alex's portrayal of Alzheimer's will always be one of my favorites. Her expressions are wonderful.
And her portrayal at the end was an actual thing they do
Allison is always amazing, Alex was way above the other contestants, and Sonyas choreography was always totally entrancing!!
TURN TO STONE by Melanie and Marko is one of my all time favorite.. 💖
Benji has always been my favorite dancer and choreographer
2:11 legit this is such a fantastic dance. The emotion and the physicality…. Otherworldly
Turn to Stone, my all time fave, Melanie, Allison, and Danny(+) are my all fave dancers.
RIP Danny..
For me black mambo is the best ballroom routine of all time
I liked the 2nd set of dancers. Very connected to the song.
Some of my all time favorite dancers and dances here! Alex totally would have won, had he not gotten injured Not taking away from the current winner
10000%
The Black Mambo dancers and dancing routine excellent.
19 and 12 are easily one of my top favs of all time! They’re just so gorgeous😭
Jason and Jeanine dancing to If It Kill Me is so poignant and beautiful
Yes and you can’t tell me that kiss at the end wasn’t genuine!!!
I'm pretty sure they say it wasn't planned. They were hust feeling it in the moment. Definitely seemed pretty damn genuine to me 😏
i always say Alex Wong would have won or gotten real close to it if he hadn’t gotten injured
He was the best on that season IMO too.
Jeanine and Jason🥰🥰🥰🥰
I think they even said that the kiss wasnt even part of the dance--it just happened.
Wow number 20 is so beautiful.

Friendly reminder that Alex wins season 7 if he doesn’t get injured
Idk... Lauren Froderman would have given him a tough time. She was great to start with, but that girl was damn near perfection the last 3-4 episodes.

As impressive as these are, my all time favourite was the mirror dance with JT and Robert.
Frankly, anything with Robert was beyond outstanding.

An impressive dance but the song is awful. Totally ruins it.
