main reason I warm up: My laptop lags when I begin my first beatmap after opening it up
I am in your side.
Get ssd boiii
Same here
That's true
@@retroke6560 I was using SSD on laptop but still it was happening FPS drops. Latency was going to 10+ ms from 4.2 ms.

> OK, now I'm ready for 10⭐!

ez makes the map harder unironically
If you can play maps with EZ, you're either god or -Gn
@@davr1 what's the difference
@@jessveness not 1 star EZ

he said 1 star map with ez, time for every noob to be considered a god in your eyes.
Also EZ is overrated, it is only impressive on specific type of maps. Coming from experience
Thank you! My girlfriend will be so happy after this stretching routine.

I swear, KoiFishu you are a god. literally I was trying to find out why one day I did so well in this one beatmap and next day not doing as well. And by following this and I FC’d the whole song and got my first 100pp play. Thank you
I got my first 100pp play yesterday, and I watched this video today 🤔
Congrats on your first 100 pp play!
Queen Wicked congrats ^^

lol can't believe I didn't notice
i usually just cry and then play osu, best warm up
ok but why are you actually one of the most underrated osu youtubers out there
this content is amazing
keep it up
proud of ya
I agree so much. KoiFishu is literally my Osu! Role model
welcome to the future where koi is the most popular osu content creator rn

Not warmup but also important: take breaks!!! You'll be suprised how much a refreshed patience will do for you in this game. Most of my FC's are the first attempt back from a break. Granted, all low-level plays but still 🤷🏻♂️
I agree, stretches are important for your hands, otherwise it hurts
Honestly also don't play when you're tired cause you'll be really grumpy and your senses and reading will be numbed from the lack of alertness. Some people even have naps so yeah
This is most definently true but I'm also definently an outlier here. I don't know why but my best plays ate always when I'm extremely tired and basically a walking zombie. My accuracy goes up like twice as good as usual and I can play faster maps. It weird
sometimes i fall into a trance-like state when i’m tired, so my performance improves 🤔
alpheesh same it’s like I’m on autopilot
My 4 hours of sleep and playing at 11 pm wont listen sorry.
Playing at like 10-11pm basically gives me a passive +50% accuracy bonus
Dont forget to take breaks too, it is really important because it can strain your body
I agree with you completely, I can only play in short amounts because I get extremely dizzy
Kinda I keep playing on and off throughout the day and the best plays is usually on the 2nd and 3rd
@ccc310 Been a while since i came here, but now i have a routine for streaming and for jumping, I focus on doing 140-150 BPM streaming long maps. Focus on both combo and accuracy and then slowly progress. For jumping, I would suggest to do HR (HR depends on what AR u can go for) after warming up, take a 5-10 minute break because ur fingers need to take a break for a while then start slow with maps already know u can do same with jumps
This is my warm up, i can also send the long stream map practice pack
also, overstretching just before playing can be bad too, just dont do more than needed
This is so important I wish someone told me this. I'm not really an individual that needs to stretch much unless my body tells me a particular area feels different or tight and at that point I'll stretch. If that doesn't happen I usually make sure to play some stamina maps at the end of my session and warm down my hands with stretches. If I stretch too much I end up playing a lot worse and don't have enough stamina/fingerlock even more.
KoiFishu: Importance of Warmup
KoiFishu on stream: I deleted my warmup collection
The stretches really help with mania. Whenever i play a hard map i don't feel like my hands are gonna fall off
I'm impressed with the quality of your videos, I've been watching for a few months and for such a smol channel you do amazing stuff and content, your editing is awesome too
I'm literally unable to do the stretching at 4:45 is osu actually just genetics
LOLOL TRU
Do something similar then.Fold the middle finger a little
It probably depends on if you are double jointed or not
Osu is rng
I can do it on my left hand but not my right. Good thing my left hand is my zx hand lmao
Oh yea dont forget to do pushup for warmup THEN U CAN HIT THOSE 7 ⭐️ JUMPS
IT ALWAYS ON WARMUPS
_KomodoDragon make sure u OVERSTREAM 222 BPM
Thanks for the advice and things, going to try and get back into the game as I've been watching a lot of videos. Hopefully I won't be too disappointed by how much my skills have fallen, but as you and others have said, a positive mindset also helps.
Just so hard to keep a positive mindset because once I know that it helps, trying to do it makes it seem more fake or something, thus making me even worse. :(
Thank you so much for this video. I really really appreciate you.
Exactly what i needed.
also about the streamers not warming up, a lot of them do they just don't stream it and sometimes even do it offline.
sources: some smaller streamers said they don't like to stream their warmup because it's "boring" to watch and stuff, and also tracking some players' playing patterns and streaming (not the notes, i mean on twitch) patterns.
Definitely some good and important advice in here! But for me the question still remains: What's the difference between warmup and just playing any map? I suppose the stream comp or practice packs that actually increase in speed etc over time are literal warmup maps. But other than that, what's the difference between just playing random maps that you feel like or F2, and "properly warming up"?
I got chat banned because of “in appropriate avatar”
What was on your avatar though?
Oh shi my bad, it was an ahegao face I drew lmao
this was actually rather informative.
I saw this thumbnail and I didn’t warm up yesterday when playing and now my left wrist hurts
Whenever I play the base of my thumb starts to hurt and my tremors get in the way sometimes, but I'm still aiming to FC Raccoon city hard
Did anybody see the middle finger he made? xD
well i did a little bit of stretching before playing consist of wrist, middle finger and thumb (thanks koifishu), tried to lessen the force or pressure on both my whole arm and let it be in rest state. I usually do jumps as warmups, squares and random jump patterns are my go to everyday. Since i usually play tvsize maps or 2-3min maps with HR, seems like i need enough rest to reqlly be able to play better. Also, drink more water, it helps keep you hydrated and better your mood. Everytime i get shakes, take rest between maps and drink more water. FC? drink water. Choke new top play? drink water. It helps to reduce stress and by far I barely even rage despite choking on slider back to back and getting the same acc.
"Placebo is helpful" *Cue glasses company starting their ad with a drawing winking exactly on cue*
I can see at my "rank-curve" when I was in a good mood and when not lol
Relatable lol
@@evryon1810 I quitted recently
@@wawarushii oh, why?
@@evryon1810 no motivation anymore
maybe in 1-2 years again ^^
@@wawarushii do you have an opponent to play against? sometimes it helps to have someone around your skill level that can challenge your skills.
When I play multi I always aim to take first place and it help me put my thinking into the positive side and I actually play better than some of the higher rank player than me
only one problem i had already is
right hand and wrist pain because I hold the stylus firmly to have a better acc
Don’t play in a cold room, or at least a room where you can feel the cold. Your muscles don’t feel as flexible in the cold, and if you’re in a warm room, your muscles lose the tenacity they’d have in a cold room. If you want a cold room to play in anyway, wash your hands with hot water. That loosens up the tensity of your hands and helps prevent finger lock.
Yep. This helps a lot, thanks!
uhhh i remembered someone saying you can break the ligaments in your thumb by doing the stretch in 5:00 ... just don't quickly whip your hand doing any of these stretches...
*watches video*
*FC's centipede*
ok
i will incorporate stretches because im afraid of rsi and carpal tunnel
i love how that levi guy has a name from an anime
Not the hero we deserve but the hero we needed.
I once hopped on and fc’d the 6* snow drive map.
Yeah couldn’t play anything else after wards because my hands where all shaky.
I usually warmup starting at a 3 star NC HD move to a 4.5 star map and im good to go for some good plays
to boost my confidence i usually just tell myself that i will finish this map today no matter what
I never warm up because for some reason my top plays are all my first plays of the day, e.g. my near-7* fc (1miss) was my first play of the day. After that, it's all downhill.
Either way, I do admit it may or may not have been a bad idea not to heat my hands before playing seriously because OW TYPING HURTS
welcome to osu!
happy to see you mention stretching is more of a "do it because it does nothing negative/feels good" not "stretching is 100% proven to prevent injury". stretching probably won't do anything bad, might be beneficial, but can also potentially waste your time especially if you're low on it - rather spend that time playing if you can only play for an hour for example
My highest star fc is 5.8 and when im not warmed up I cant fc a 4 star with EZ because of misaiming, its actually insane
Obviously, bro ez is literally hard
so i play 3 star maps to warm up and to get more into faster stuff i play dt and surch for 3 star maps but i cant pass anything thats over ar7 with dt so i play a few 3* maps normal then 3-5 dt3* and then im going to the maps where i am training right now its 4 stars i also think if i would be able to play 5 star maps i would play 4* and dt4* to warm up but idk since im not there right now...
now to train
is finger locking where u can't control a joint and it's stuck and ur trying to release or press but you won't that happens to my thumb and pinky but i play with my middle and ring finger so weird, my play style is my mouse is at the bottom of my desk near the edge and my thumb is on the right indent side, my pinky is on the left indent side, then my hand and mouse hang at the bottom of the desk and my cursor is in the middle so i can easily aim to all 4 corners of my screen without moving my mouse more then 4 inches from the bottom of the desk edge
I’ve strained myself so much that I’ve became immune
I watched this Vid, made my warmup and just got my first 300pp play today. Very Nice
Would it be worth doing a proper full body warmup so that I feel more alert? It takes me about 20 minutes to really got focused enough to do anything properly.
Vggggttt is the weekend I wann
On Jah, I think being confident helps you in this game (and many others) like how when hugofrost got his first 700pp, he can now easily get 600pp because of how he became confident from his first 700pp.
Not sure if it's due to mindblock or those streches really helped, but I just got fastest fingers in my career and just passed this hard stream map I couldn't pass last 60 tries... x...d...
My gf looked at me weardly though... not sure what she's thinking about...

Instructions unclear, started warming up my pc with a heat gun. It started getting cold
I play a 7* for warmup with ht
My warmup is 6 star map (I cant pass it and will retry until i give up)
How i warm-up:
1.) Don’t know what maps to use to warm-up
2,) start playing and get strained
3.) take a break for an hour
4.) repeat from step 2 until...
5.) sleep
So if I use osu to warmup for other games should I warm up for osu to warm up for other games to then warm up in them again to then play the game?
it's the skin with the blue cursor on your description ? i want to try it :) thanks
I have a really high dpi on my mouse (about 1cm^2 to cover the whole screen) so my right arm never hurts, but my left hand, oh boy
your name is really cool

the practice packs. its a like to a user. where do i go after?
first slow ur play speed to 0.25 then click on the timestamp 6:17
Got pains in my hands, ouch
6:17 for a split second, I thought I saw a middle finger
0:01 Holy crap its Mafumafu
6:17 lmfao
The key is to be always warming up and never playing.
my warmup:
1. 1 min spinner
2. 10 min 9.1cs maps
3. 10 min squares
4. still not warmed up lol
how do you get that light pattern on your sakura keyboard?
my best plays are my warmup maps at 4am
Can I just chop off the fingers I don't use

everything else works for me but be positive
my luck fucked me bad
My mindset is pretty gloomy but i see myself improve at this rate

Lol I’m new to osu! and I got pretty good yesterday there was this map that I could never do but I took like a tiny bit of water then destroyed that map lol
Okay so am i the only one who get hyped up about there session start with the "good mentality" and then after the first 2-3 missed combos/maps/streams/ect. my session mentality is going really bad. And if yes can someone help me out with this problem. Thank yall.
I finally beat the 4* sound chimera, and I didnt even warm up ;D
Nice
Now I know that I suck, but I just like having fun in the game. I dont really want to improve so I dont care about ss-ing 4*s or anything. So I have low acc and play things other than pp farm maps, but I do warmup usually because well the concept of the video
Well I played 4k rhythm games for a year straight and my hands can't move that Well and my wrists hurt I wish I wouldn't of played so much dang it well guess I gotta live with it I tried to play a super easy 4k map and I can't even do it because my hands hurt and they lock up
That is exactly why i don't warm up. It is just not in my style. I want to play osu! because i want to play the beatmap, listen to music. Of course i am training, but i feel more like just play and watch your self grow.
jump? A fool moon night
stream? we luv lama
for some shit part? Tengaku
for the slider break? A-L-I-E-N
become cookiezi? Centipede
Hotel? Trivago
I was wondering what tablet he is using during a stream anyone know?
Out of the 5 years of osu of eyes burnt red and broken hands no fingers I finally see a warm up thing xD comedy I'll try this when I start playing osu again
Warming up takes several hours for me. Pretty annoying
Well considering I do osu in my break time from drawing I have long time of warm up, a 9 hour long of warm up. XDD
Bruh i can play for 6 hours and still have sore wrists and tappy fingies. And still be in pain at random moments
Here after i got CTS
when i dont play osu for one day, feel like i never play it
you don't need to warm up if you play 24 hours
"os" is correct version if I remember
well after finishing my warmup
*my mom tells me to stop playing*
Tbh the best way to feel confident is to never ever watch youtube videos one osu especially tutorial ones, also try to not watch top play of of other people everyone is different and don’t look at their scores either
Oh sue
im building my collections for warmup as i find the maps around my star level (between 3.8-5.5*) and i have them split into different categories (collections)
jump
speed
low ar
DT maps/high ar maps
tech
stream (includes like burst stream, death stream, and split triples for alternate training {i play full alt})
i still need more collections to practice weird things like star patterns, slider jumps, overlapping jumps, etc
i also have a collection called "deep warmup" which is for when my hands are LITERALLY cold, or for when i haven't played for a while, which just has balanced maps (short streams, some tech, some triples, some jumps)
and then i have like "EXTREME training" which is maps that i've passed with like a C,D or B and are like way way above my skill level
a tricky map that i recommend since you're here is Drunkenstein-bors insane diff
i hate it sooo much, but it's because it challenges me so hard.
0:12 u miss the O
Please, could you tell me what map is it at 1:26?
i cant play for more than 30 minutes or i get rusty
