Don't 'worry' about fermented food, although removing 'mould' can be reassuring. The key point is both keeping everything under the surface of the fluid, and ensuring that you got the salt content correct. After that you are 'good to go'. Fermenting is a 'social' challenge to many, but it is the very safest way to preserve food. 'fermanting' our produce creates so many emotions with people, and yet it is simple, healthy and utterly safe. Sorry you are grassing over so much of your 'micro orchard', it brings you so much pleasure, and produce.Wonderful you Woody.
Hi Gordon Yes, my first attempts with carrots failed as I couldn't keep them below the surface of the fluid; I seem to have rectified that now and it's looking ( and tasting) very good. Don't be sorry about the grass my friend, it will make things so much easier and if the larger trees grow successfully then I will have more than enough fruit! Always nice to hear from you, have a great week ahead 👍👍👍
Everything looks so nice and tidy Woody, getting cleared out is always good to tell what worked and what didn’t. No frost yet we’ll damaging frost but today it started absolutely pouring 👍👍 we totally needed it so no complaints. Great job on the sauerkraut. Have a super week stay safe, Ali 🌧️🌧️🇨🇦
We've had two frosts so far, but nothing damaging. Yes, I guess you really need that rain by the sound of it! I had a little taste of the sauerkraut and it's lovely 👌👌 Have a great week ahead too my friend ❤️

Hi woody Friday 13th is my best dates as I was born on Friday 13th in the middle of a thunder and lightning storm as my father kept telling me Sauerkraut is wonderful I enjoy it with belly pork or decent German sausage val family from Austria, Hope you can get a good battery powered trimmer and cats find the smallest of fresh soft soil mate a pain .
Lucky for some then Bill 😀 Yes, great with a good quality sausage but never thought of enjoying it with belly pork 😋 Hopefully I'll be able to sort something out as regards a pole saw and it might come in handy on those pesky cats Lol 🤣🤣🤣 ATB 👍👍👍
Hey mate! Not cheeky at all, but I might struggle this year for scions of russets as I summer pruned all my trees. I will see if anyone else has some and let you know ATB 👍
it's not so much which model, but one of safety in use, woody. main mode of thinking is where will the branches land? am i going to damage property or myself? wear goggles at all times. all these tools will do the job safely in the right hands, and dangerous in the wrong hands. you should be ok, whatever ou choose, mate................brian

@@cumbrianhomestead our first “true” frost date is Nov 15 but it’s always Mother Nature who calls the shots 👍

Absolutely!
I feel your pain on the cat poo, I found it on TOP of my netting... VERY nice.
It's unbelievable the amount of poo I've had to remove Kath, don't people use 'litter trays' anymore 🤔😡
Have a great week ahead ❣️
Nice one as always Woody!
Hey thanks Steve 👍🍻

Sorry Woody, never use a battery powered pruning saw.
I borrowed one off a friend and found it quite good ( chain was blunt though😂)
Cheers 🍻
Hi Woody, hope this isn’t too cheeky but do you sell any scion wood please? I’m after some russet apples.
Hey mate!
