Hiking Lake Mineral Wells State Park

Pliny and Angela hike the Maroon (purple) trail at Lake Mineral Wells State Park in north-central Texas. This a moderate hike, just under 5 miles (round trip). We did this hike when it was about 101° outside, but in the fall or spring, this would be a nice relaxing and quick hike.

If you're ever in western NC check out Mt Pisgah, one of my favorite hikes... Well, I'd need two new knees to do it now, but when I was younger it was lots of fun :-) Always fun to hike, just not when its 100 degrees ;-)
