Regarding the overburn you got on your first logo attempt, you can eliminate that by enabling Overscan in Lightburn. Start at 5% and adjust it from there. This tells the tool head to travel further than the actual job, preventing the premature slowdown and overburn you experienced. Cheers.
Superbly explained Matt, seems like a magical piece of kit, far beyond the understanding of a man of my years (64)😂 marvellous results.
Good on you Matt for going outside your comfort zone by using computers. Also being such a clever bloke and having a go at making things in timber. Next you will have to get yourself a wood welder! :D
I've been with Creality for about 4 years now. Love their kit. Try out one of their printers!
That's a nice little machine. I guess the different colours on the stainless were achieved by adjusting power and speed? Great video, thanks for sharing.
Looks like a useful bit of kit - was looking at these myself
How about a nice custom urchfab vin plate/makers plate for the mushy pea?
Great little project machine, I suppose it wouldn't be able to engrave glass? Engraving leather is so cool, artwork on the back of a leather jacket!
Matt, I have the same FJ Edwards metal shear as you can you tell me what the centre half pipe cut out is for 🤔 I was thinking some kind of roller ? Cheers Dave
Well done video, thank you for sharing. Everyone stay safe, warm, happy and healthy. From Henrico County Virginia
Matt if you are having trouble with tool turn around behaviour, i.e. slowing down, add a feature to each side of the work piece so it does the turn around off the work piece, you should be able to make some nice bits for cars like switch and instruction labels.
It seems pretty cool for a hobbyist or even a small buisness, I think you missed a trick with the wallet test print though, I kept wondering is he going to do the wallet from pulp fiction ? maybe i'm showing my age now lol.
Awesome as Always.... Wow That was so cool.. cant wait to see what you make with it..
Hey we are looking at using the laser module on an industrial job. What size is the actual laser module unit..? Thanks
Could you maybe do a row of the wood key ring's rather than single at a time?
How much does it weight including the rotary cylinder tool..
I hope they donated to you, it looks like a useful item for small precision and merch items.
Any idea what u wanna do with it? Prob merch for the shop, right?
can you please tell me which settings did you change to achieve the darker engraving? are you using lightburn? thanks!
Great video.. though anyone else notice that the Chinese who make this could tell “focus laser” correctly? 2:31.
So cool! You're a very handy person.
Sur le cuir le résultat est remarquable !
Would this cut 0.5mm Aluminium?
The wallet looked 👍
Love it, great tool
Very usefull tool and very creative!
What a great tool!!
Not sure the average lifespan of the laser beam, but a new 40w one is £1138.. ouch..
Great stuff
Slate?
These are a great tool, but a word of caution. Make sure it’s very well ventilated and you have high quality glass. Come on guys be smart about safety.
👍👍😊😊
hot glue to glue wood…
