I’m no Carra fan, but he’s right. Teams like Real Madrid and Bayern Munich feel like they’re supposed to win the European Cup, just like Arsenal feel like they’re supposed to win the FA Cup. Every time we’ve played Chelsea in the FA Cup Final, we bring out the banners saying how many FA Cups we’ve won and we win again. History in cup competitions, matters.

If you actually watch soccer then you can see that it’s not all scoring goals and taking shots there is something called defense we’re players block the shot and stop the strikers. Also in the penalties City’s two main penalty players got tired so they asked to get subbed out. The wasn’t luck that was just them running out of energy while 32 year old Bernardo Silva still had energy 😂. In penalties Lunin did his research to block the goals. That was just proof that I was right.
The PL is overrated. She has the most money but does the least with it.
The German league with finances would tear Europe apart. Success has been achieved there for ages with much less money in comparison.
Of course, a lot always has to be right and that doesn't work every year, but it still shows that the advantage of the PL is actually not an advantage.
Buying expensive players does not mean buying a strong team. You can find evidence all over Europe...
You can spin it however you want, the PL is not what you all believe. Many teams and leagues are on equal footing in the athletic department. And as long as no one in England understands how to do the right thing with money, it will stay that way. ;)
Just when I see that most of the talents simply don't get a chance in their teams and then regularly tear Europe apart with German teams, it shows that the focus in England is wrong.
And the circle closes at pretty much every European Championship and World Cup where England is ALWAYS ranked among the favorites, but is NEVER a favorite^^

This works a bit differently I believe. That Champion mentality is actually associated with the club, not the player. Some players are really motivated by themeselves, like Cristiano, others get influenced and inspired from the emotion that is associated with the club. Player like Valverde expresses wish to burst his legs out running while playing for Madrid, it's hard to believe he'd get the exact motivation if he plays for any other club. The Messi of last year in Barcelona is not the same as the Messi of PSG. And while the Messi of PSG wasn’t of that high calibre anymore, the Messi of Argentina had become the Peak Messi again, like simultaneously we got to see two different versions of Messi. So even if players like Messi get influenced and inspired by what team they are being associated with, you just know that Champion Mentality is something about the club (or country), more than the player himself..

I agree, and I think this attitude is apparent in penalty shootouts. It seems sensible for the best players to take penalties first, but when it comes to the 4th and 5th penalties, when players know that if they score, they win, or if they miss then they lose, there is a lot of pressure on those penalty takers. Any of the outfield players (including defenders) should easily be capable of taking a 'good' penalty, but to take the 4th or 5th penalty for your team requires a strong mental attitude, not just 'penalty taking ability'. This is an important factor when choosing who should take those penalties.

I think one of the absolute main differences was, and I'm a Bayern fan was, that Bayern was willing to play out of their own comfort zone. They were willing to let Arsenal attack and have the ball, just to strike at the right time. Bayern was disciplined as hell and it was basically like Chess with Football players, and such chess games are exactly Tuchels thing. In the end, he outsmarted Arsenal, and our players did perfectly on bringing it to the pitch and they were willing to leave their hearts on the pitch.

Also you need the experience of playing 90mins x 3 games a week. For that additionally you need squad depth, and Arsenal are poor in that.

Na he discredits non premier league teams by saying that Man City and Arsenal are better even if they lose. Which is stupid because Bayern and Madrid proved that they are better because they played better. Mentality is part of the sport and when a team enter the Champions league they are suppose to have that mentality and it is not a excuse to make Premier League excuse free card 😂😂😂

Define better. Better by your standards might not be as someone else’s.

Neither Real or Bayer were better than their rivals but, they know, they know they are The Real Madrid and The Bayer Munich, they feel their history, they feel the winning desire in his veins...they know they need to win, that was the big difference, in Mexico we have a saying "They won with the shirt on"

Carra wasn't saying that before. He always predicted real Madrid will get beaten by man city, Liverpool, psg, bayern but Madrid almost always buries his predictions😂. So i think at this point he thinks this is the only explanation he can come up with😂

The issue is that prem league fans think their teams are always better then they actually are.

It's really wondrous what english football fans come up with to avoid saying that a team outside of the PL is better then one of their money wasting mashines

Premier League teams are amazing but when they play in Europe they still play exactly the way the play in PL. In order to win in Europe you need to be a able to adapt tactically to the team you are facing. Real knew what City was going to do and changed the strategy, they played differently to what thet normally do: defensive wall

City is the current champions and they did it with fashion by thrashing RM and also did the treble. To say that they have “ less “ or no experience is cuckoo. They are as ready as ready can get. They’ve definitely been there done that.
You probably could use this excuse a few seasons ago, but not now. They just lost to RM when RM defended well, and city didn’t finish their chances. Plain and simple.
    No history. No experience.
You however can use that excuse for Arsenal.
