I’m no Carra fan, but he’s right. Teams like Real Madrid and Bayern Munich feel like they’re supposed to win the European Cup, just like Arsenal feel like they’re supposed to win the FA Cup. Every time we’ve played Chelsea in the FA Cup Final, we bring out the banners saying how many FA Cups we’ve won and we win again. History in cup competitions, matters.
Real Madrid👑>>>EPL doggy🐶
Bayern are better than arsenal though. Their front line is nothing special. They do nothing out of the ordinary, including Saka. Musiela, Kane, Sane clear
You're right same when chelsea played Arsenal in the europa final. Chelsea have European history while Arsenal always crumble

They are though. You saw it last year when city beat Madrid 5 1. City are still clearly the better team but madrids tactics won them the match. Arsenal are also currently Better than Munich. First time back In ucl in many years and they gave me a good run.
As an Englishman it’s frustrating. The pundits need to are eating humble pie after predicting the English teams to go through.

I am really not a premier league fan.
But acting like Real Madrid won the tie because of their defensive brilliance an not because they were more lucky at pens is just laughable
@@kibbit1373it’s more laughable that you think it was all luck. Madrid shut down Haaland and he couldn’t score once because of their Defensive Brilliance. If you actually watch soccer then you can see that it’s not all scoring goals and taking shots there is something called defense we’re players block the shot and stop the strikers. Also in the penalties City’s two main penalty players got tired so they asked to get subbed out. The wasn’t luck that was just them running out of energy while 32 year old Bernardo Silva still had energy 😂. In penalties Lunin did his research to block the goals. You can’t say City was the better team because in the end they weren’t and lost the match because of their own mistakes.

The PL is overrated. She has the most money but does the least with it.
The German league with finances would tear Europe apart. Success has been achieved there for ages with much less money in comparison.
Of course, a lot always has to be right and that doesn't work every year, but it still shows that the advantage of the PL is actually not an advantage.
Buying expensive players does not mean buying a strong team. You can find evidence all over Europe...
You can spin it however you want, the PL is not what you all believe. Many teams and leagues are on equal footing in the athletic department. And as long as no one in England understands how to do the right thing with money, it will stay that way. ;)
Just when I see that most of the talents simply don't get a chance in their teams and then regularly tear Europe apart with German teams, it shows that the focus in England is wrong.
And the circle closes at pretty much every European Championship and World Cup where England is ALWAYS ranked among the favorites, but is NEVER a favorite^^

They got absolute battered over 210 minutes of football.
Scored 3 lucky goals and won on penalties.
@sidbob1215 What you on about. The first game Madrid should have won. They should scored the 3rd goal. Then City scored two bangers. What's the chance of scoring two bangers like that in the same game.
Today yes City dominated because they are very strong at home and barely lose at their stadium
They got completely outplayed and outclassed. If they lost on penalties everyone would he talking about how good city were. They got lucky Phil and Kevin missed great chances, and even more lucky that stefan ortega was goalkeeper in the first leg. @@sidbob12153 lucky goals 😂 your meltdown is beautiful to watch
Those Bayern the Munich players didn't won so many UCL and most of current Real Madrid players didn't won all those UCL either. Maybe it's about time to accept the fact that English underrate teams outside their land too much
But both teams had a squad full on UCL winners, unlike Arsenal. Okay City also had same players as last season, but that is why their tie was so even that it went to penalties. But for Bayern vs Arsenal, if you believe that experience matters... well... Bayern still have many players from their 2020 treble winning squad. Neuer, Davies, Kimmich, Goretzka, Müller, Coman, Gnabry.
“Football heritage” - Jose Mourinho
Big clubs have a winner mentality. Arsenal is far away from european royality, they reach one quarter and one final in their history. They not even Top 30.
Everyone seems to think Madrid scraped it.
To me it appeared they displayed a masterclass in defending.
City were always gonna dominate posession - and Madrid went into that game anticipating that - locked behind the ball. Closed down channels and were an absolute unit to breakdown.
Chelsea had a good 3 years worth of success playing football like this.
Everyones talking about how city failed.
Not many talking about madrids triumph.
This works a bit differently I believe. That Champion mentality is actually associated with the club, not the player. Some players are really motivated by themeselves, like Cristiano, others get influenced and inspired from the emotion that is associated with the club. Player like Valverde expresses wish to burst his legs out running while playing for Madrid, it's hard to believe he'd get the exact motivation if he plays for any other club. The Messi of last year in Barcelona is not the same as the Messi of PSG. And while the Messi of PSG wasn’t of that high calibre anymore, the Messi of Argentina had become the Peak Messi again, like simultaneously we got to see two different versions of Messi. So even if players like Messi get influenced and inspired by what team they are being associated with, you just know that Champion Mentality is something about the club (or country), more than the player himself..
I think there’s just a huge misconception amongst PL fans. Aside from City and maybe Liverpool, no PL team could realistically challenge Madrid/Barca in la liga, PSG in Ligue 1, Bayern (not this year) in Bundesliga, etc. you may have arguably the better league but it’s not because every team is TOP level, it’s just because most teams are SIMILAR level.
Brazil and Germany back in the days felt like they always had the edge to win it all.
We will come back after the Neymar incident 🙏🏼
I couldn't agree more
So they don’t have it anymore ?
Bayern has the saying „Mia san mia“ which means something like „we are who we are“. We are Bayern, the club which is willing and able to win every game and every title.

Maybe people like Carragher should reconsider how good these Premier League teams really are.
A player like Rice looked like he just made his professional debut compared to Laimer and Goretzka.
They keep on forgetting that Bayern was the CL winner in the core of the team just a couple of seasons ago.
And still even when Bayern is struggling this season they still have one of the best rosters on european level even with a lot of injuries.
Those big teams hand over experience and winning mentally over for generations. That matters absolutely.
Arsenal is a young team but nowhere near they were the clear favorite of that match up. Bayern at home will always beat them when it matters and they did.
Exactly the biggest difference is mentality, just look at how Carvajal and Valverde were playing, they were ready to fight till death ,while at times City was a bit timid (yes they were attacking but still) , maybe thats because of pep's approach. Vazquez and Bellingham taking that penalty with that confidence.
This is very true. Champions mentality makes difference in high level sport. This "Champions mentality" is general term that includes so much components in it.
Carra “spitting” facts as always
No it isn't champions, it's exp, arsenal are a bunch of kids
@kurtsudheim825 yes, you r also right. Can put it that way... that is why I wrote there are so many components inside this "champions mentality"... simply, you have to know how to win the title
I agree, and I think this attitude is apparent in penalty shootouts. It seems sensible for the best players to take penalties first, but when it comes to the 4th and 5th penalties, when players know that if they score, they win, or if they miss then they lose, there is a lot of pressure on those penalty takers. Any of the outfield players (including defenders) should easily be capable of taking a 'good' penalty, but to take the 4th or 5th penalty for your team requires a strong mental attitude, not just 'penalty taking ability'. This is an important factor when choosing who should take those penalties.
PL fans are so delusional. Just because the investors made sure that your players salaries are higher than anywhere else, doesn’t make all of them better players.
True..... Real and Bayern are the biggest teams last 25 years

I think one of the absolute main differences was, and I'm a Bayern fan was, that Bayern was willing to play out of their own comfort zone. They were willing to let Arsenal attack and have the ball, just to strike at the right time. Bayern was disciplined as hell and it was basically like Chess with Football players, and such chess games are exactly Tuchels thing. In the end, he outsmarted Arsenal, and our players did perfectly on bringing it to the pitch and they were willing to leave their hearts on the pitch.
I still doubt Arsenal actually showed up in Munich.
Coming from Bayern side - They are solid good. But they are young people. Not a lot of experience. What Cara says is right. When you walk into UCL knockouts, you need you have that mentality. Also you need the experience of playing 90mins x 3 games a week. For that additionally you need squad depth, and Arsenal are poor in that.
But they have a good foundation. If they dont sack their manager and build more squad depth, it is a good future for them in another 1-2 seasons.
What are you saying we just have no striker that make 20 goal a season

“Better”. How you play doesn’t matter. Winning matters.
Madrid and Bayern are going to the office to do what they always do and know how to do. What are the other teams thinking?
What you believe is not true! Reason you won 0 EPL titles haha
Bro it’s his opinion at least he played in the premier league ,I think he has valid opinion. On the other hand you seem like a person who never stepped on a field but I can be wrong have a good day bro
He's got more champions leagues than Arsenal
He was on the pitch in Istanbul in 2005: when he speaks about European pedigree spurring a team to greatness it’s fair to say he knows what he’s talking about
He's talking about Champions League here. And he actually won a Champions League...
He's talking about the Champion League, though and had won it😮.
I think it's first time i agree with Jamie
cry
He’s 1000% spot on.
This aged very well 😂🎉
Jamie speak the truth.
He's exactly spot on
Na he discredits non premier league teams by saying that Man City and Arsenal are better even if they lose. Which is stupid because Bayern and Madrid proved that they are better because they played better. Mentality is part of the sport and when a team enter the Champions league they are suppose to have that mentality and it is not a excuse to make Premier League excuse free card 😂😂😂
Define better. Better by your standards might not be as someone else’s.
😂 you sucks 😂
I think u've something personal with Cara bcus he's speaking facts!
@@glenwjohnson809 maybe but he was so confident about his judgement without seeing facts and make himself a mockery.
The other day he said arsenal are beating Bayern 🤣🤣
Neither Real or Bayer were better than their rivals but, they know, they know they are The Real Madrid and The Bayer Munich, they feel their history, they feel the winning desire in his veins...they know they need to win, that was the big difference, in Mexico we have a saying "They won with the shirt on"
Carra wasn't saying that before. He always predicted real Madrid will get beaten by man city, Liverpool, psg, bayern but Madrid almost always buries his predictions😂. So i think at this point he thinks this is the only explanation he can come up with😂
The issue is that prem league fans think their teams are always better then they actually are.
Shows what he knows
Dribble. City dominated them but it’s how football goes sometimes
It's really wondrous what english football fans come up with to avoid saying that a team outside of the PL is better then one of their money wasting mashines
Exactly why Chelsea are bigger than Arsenal. It's not even an opinion but it's objectively correct
Premier League teams are amazing but when they play in Europe they still play exactly the way the play in PL. In order to win in Europe you need to be a able to adapt tactically to the team you are facing. Real knew what City was going to do and changed the strategy, they played differently to what thet normally do: defensive wall
Pep literally said Real Madrid are the Champions League
City is the current champions and they did it with fashion by thrashing RM and also did the treble. To say that they have “ less “ or no experience is cuckoo. They are as ready as ready can get. They’ve definitely been there done that.
You probably could use this excuse a few seasons ago, but not now. They just lost to RM when RM defended well, and city didn’t finish their chances. Plain and simple.
No history. No experience.
You however can use that excuse for Arsenal.
Cry harder City fans these comments are giving me joy😂😂
