So nice this fabulous man never hesitate to answer any personal question...thats why we love his honesty his kindness and how precise he was about all his retirements because of his injuries and his great matches against novak and roger and the heart breaking final of 2014 which almost bring tears in his eyes and mine also it was devastating every time i think about this final i just cant stop my tears...we feel the same rafa and we wish you the best for this year...lets go...we are all with you..

His speech in english may be deficient in terms of vocabulary and usage...but there is always good logic and thinking in whatever he says... most others indulge in wasteful/empty conversation... and therefore...cant get over the frank-speak that Rafa always presents... much love and respect for the way he thinks in spanish and speaks in english... his rapidfire spanish slows down so much in english... very interesting!!! Everything should work out well for him and his better half... awesome sportsman and human... his parents are so fortunate... All those who shout out to him or show placards... would have learnt a lesson or two... he does not pay attention because he does not want to belittle his opponent...what a statesmanly attitude... Rafa does not like cricket...:-(... the interviewer is so kind...smiling and friendly... Rafa would have liked the interview...

Nice interview. He's more open, relaxed and candid here than I'm used to. Maybe because there isn't the hidden agenda of the tennis media? Contrast with the recent 60 mins Australia interview - OK but all stuff we've heard before. He's freaking gorgeous.
I personally liked the 60 minutes interview. He spoke in Spanish, which allowed him to speak more freely and intelligently (not that he's stupid in English). He was pretty open and candid in that interview too. I don't know. I cherish every moment we get in a Rafa interview. He's very private so I'm glad.

Superfast express train when he speaks his mother tongue...Mallorquin...but the opposite when he thinks...thinks thinks...and speaks in english... he is one of the loveliest sportsmen of all times that we know of in our lifetimes... never liked any of those who we used to read about in the newspapers and magazines when we were young... things changed in the 2000s when the very young Rafa started to show what a prodigy he is... and when Fed was regularly winning all titles... but no one like Rafa...

Rafa said he'd been with his girlfriend for 15 years, I don't think he said he'd been living with her all that time, especially as he was only 18 when they started going out, and he was still living at home with his parents for some years. Also, they were engaged for some time, so there was no question of him "finally" deciding to marry her. I would say from yr comments that you know very little abt the type of person Rafa is.
I dont think that is bad these days. A lot of couples never get married even when they have children. And as someone said he did not say he had lived with her for that long. He was 19 and she 17 when they met. They both continued their careers , his tennis and she went to university and even to college in London. She has a good job, very career minded. Their relationship was and is obviously extremely strong to be apart for such a long time and the relationship survived. Never any scandal , very private off the court. I believe they are quite independent each letting the other do their own thing. Probably part of the reason the relationship has worked. If that is the only criticism or 'bad example ' you can come up with , I personally think that is poor.
