Is it possible to route the Top & Bottom snares/Beater & Front kicks separately? Only way I can think of is to record the audio and process it, but you lose the ability to change the performance easily if it's recorded to audio.
Hi XLN Audio Team. Please could you help me out on this one. I'm running AD2 on a PC on ableton live 9. I'd like to route the outputs to separate audio tracks in my DAW but I can't figure it out...In AD2, I chose "separate out" (I can't chose between pre / post !) then in ABL9, I create an audio track, INPUT set on AD2, then I click on KICK channel and I turn on MONITORING. Everything should be fine but I get a saturated sound from my audio track and a different sound from the original one I hear in AD2. What can I do to fix this problem please ? Thanks for your answer !
Sorry to hear that Adam. It sounds really strange. Nothing we've heard of before. Please send in a ticket to our support crew via our homepage. They'd be happy to assist you further with this and figure out what's going on.
I have an issue that you might be able help with. I have the Fairfax vol 2 in close kit playing the Lock Those hats beat 2 Modern Soul MIDI. I have it set up separate Outs post fader. This goes in the red by +7dB in my Ableton 2 bus. The same preset played through the AD2 master effects comes in at -5dB. Now, there isn't a lot going on on the AD2 master effects routing and I can't figure out were the huge increase in volume is coming from. Can you help?
Hi, sorry for the slow reply on this, if you are still experiencing this issue then would it be possible to reach out to us on our support@xlnaudio.com email and share a couple of screenshots of how you have things set up with your AD2?
Hi, have you selected the multi-outs version for AD2 as your plugin version in Logic? If you are still experiencing issues with this then don't hesitate getting in touch with our Support team here: www.xlnaudio.com/support
Hello thanks for your vidéo, but i have only : Master / Separate Out / Separated Out + Master in the Menu ???!!! (nothing about pre fader or post fader) do you know how i can get it please ?
I can't seem to get this working in Cubase, the PDF guide on your website says; "Inspector View you should see just to the right of the words Addictive Drums 2 a small arrow pointing right emerging from a box" - i don't see this, any advice?
Hi there! I'm sorry to hear that. I actually found a video showing how to set it up in Cubase. Perhaps it can be helpful? ruclips.net/video/TJT3X80RSrw/видео.html Let me know if you need further assistance with this!
Hi there. I'm sorry but I don't quite understand. Are you asking if AD2 can split the MIDI separatety for each kit piece, the same way it's splitting the audio tracks in this tutorial? In that case, I'm afraid not. Sorry!
Is there a way to route the drums out to separate channels after they have been through the mixer/effects?? I'm routing them out but losing all the great work ad2 does!
Hello, you should use the post-fader option when you set the separate outputs in the AD2 mixer for the channels, if you would have any further questions about this then don't hesitate getting in touch with our Support team: www.xlnaudio.com/support/
@@XLNAudioSupportChannel post fader still seperated outs still sounds very different to in the plug-in sound. I'll have another look and contact help if needed. Thanks!

We have recorded samples of "snare buzz" that are triggered whenever the bass drum or the toms are triggered (just like how the snare vibrates along with the other drums on a real drum kit). Go to the EDIT page and click the [SNARE] button in the bottom section. In the lower left corner of that page you have a volume slider for the Snare Buzz. Please try dialing it down and see if that helps.
Potheadsare Stupid I can't get x3 to recognize addictive drums at all. Thought, it downloaded on my desktop as a stand alone module. Any clues on how I can make this happen?
Please make sure you have set up the correct paths in your DAW and rescanned for new plugins. By having a look in the XLN Online Installer's "Advanced" section, you will be able to see where the DLL-files are placed. If you have further issues with this, please contact our support team via xlnaudio.com/support
Hi, you will need to click on the bus channel in AD2, that will display the amount going into the bus over each of the channels in the AD2 mixer. If you would need any further help with this then don't hesitate getting in touch with us here: www.xlnaudio.com/support
Hi, if you hold down command(mac) or ctrl(win) while assigning a separate output to a channel you should be able to assign all the channels inside AD2 to separate outputs. However, depending on which DAW you are using you might still have to set up each channel manually in there. If you would have any further questions about this then don't hesitate getting in touch with us here: www.xlnaudio.com/support
Hi, the cymbals are part of the OH and Room channels. If you go to the Edit page and look at one of the cymbal kit pieces in the upper left corner section, there are a OH knob on the left and a Room knob on the right of the kit piece. Above them are pan sliders where you can place the cymbal to the left or the right on that channel. If you would have any further questions about this please get in touch with our support team and they will help with this in more detail: www.xlnaudio.com/support

Hi again, Are you missing the small + sign on the AD2 main channel? Then it sounds like you have created a regular stereo AD2 instance. Make sure to select "Multi Output (4xStereo, 10xMono)" when you load up AD2 in Logic Pro. Are you sure it's loaded like that?
It took me longer to realize the reasons that I’d choose to include the AD2 Master or not.I appreciate all the choices now.Thanks.
Good tutorial, just what I needed to understand..
Fantastic! Thank you! :)
Well explained, thanks.
