That's normal to begin with...try a more grippy pick. Let it move as you strum, just constantly re-adjust:)

I have a MIM Fender Robert Cray Strat. What is the best way to string it. Should I wrap the string under and over making the horseshoe type...How to restring...is what I ask.Thanks

Yes, a senior dude if you will. Been picking for about 50 yrs. Just enough so it won't heal. lol Big fan of 12 strings.

Somewhat common problem while learning. Just need to squeeze on it harder. In the past, have seen picks with cork circles on them for this problem, don't know if still around. Barring that guess there is always rubber cement or super glue. lol Just kidding.
