I played a game today, used Zapp to snipe a mama bear, packleader combo, to take the #1 spot. Unfortunately the guy was left with 1hp, but he quit! And then because he attacked first next round, I lost to the ghost! So out of 8 people, EVERYONE died! But becuase I had most hp in the last round, I still took first place. While dead. Amazing.

Friendly reminder that there's another 6 star card that counters Zapp really hard: Maexxna. 2 attack makes it a prime target for Zapp, and only Rivendare or an unbuffed Junkbot will still get hit. 8 hp means that Zapp won't kill it, so place it on your second attacking slot (after the first one breaks divine shields) to trade your 2/1 for their big taunt. Also poisonous means that Zapp will die and not get to attack twice.

They might know you have that card, but its also a little late to switch builds, especially within 2 turns. you don't easily get your hands on a zap counter when the thing you need to protect has 1 attack
Patchwerk didn't have Rivendare when he played against Kripp for the first time. He switched into it theoretically knowing fully well that his opponent has Zapp.
My favorite thing is playing around this card and countering by playing it. Sometimes I wait until the very last moment to use it 1v1. I even blindly sometimes play around it and players get confused how did I know that they would use it. When you play deamons with juggler or deathrattles it is essential to have a play around this card because you instantly lose otherwise. And when you play against these 2 comps sometimes this card is your only chance of survival.
He keeps saying they should've played around zapp, but its not like you can really buff the attack of your rivendare. So what do you expect them to do?

Yeah zapp is great in the 10% of games where divine shield poisonous murlocs or regenerating divine shield guardians aren’t 1st place. Krip makes it seem like baron beast is the build everyone is going for lol

How often does Kripp even use the minion he got in the next round? At a minimum it is '1 gold: save 1 gold for a future turn'. When you get something good 15% of the time or whatever it's just gold; in it's worst-case scenario, it's a coin. And it should always get you lots of the things people put taunts on or put first in their lineups (like spawn or the wolf)
here i am..climbing in the mid 5k's... and meanwhile in the 7.6k-8k's no one knows of zap/ how to properly change up... Well this shouldnt be too hard to hit those rankings.
Etien if you play maexxna after mama bear, it has 6 attack... mama bear has 4. What makes it better is that maexxna will always kill the sniper and survive with one hp, so having it as the lowest attack target works out well The exception being if the opponent can buff zapp. Then he'll still die, but might kill the maexxna
The Cobalts get value with every mech that spawns, and the taunted sensei chump blocks the cleaves to keep the divine shields on. He was maximizing divine shield value - it doesn't matter how much hits you respawn with the 3/6's deathrattle when you can keep your main damage dealers hitting. You could make the argument for stats over shields when there isn't much poison running around, but he isn't just being an idiot.
Also, "other good minion" is dubious when those cobalts would come back as 6/3s, occasionally with a shield. I'd pick 20+/20+ with guaranteed divine shield over that any time. I could go back to the video and check if he had a chance to pick up a Sneeds and some way to give it taunt to switch out the sensei with after its buff outlived its use, but I wouldn't fault him not thinking of that, especially after the sensei got buffed quite a bit.
wtf, The Punisher is anything, but AN ASSASSIN?? He shoots down the front door, spits some shit towards 10 people who will shoot, stab and almost kill him in any way AND THEN he will kill every single one of them even tho he suffered from 3 billion injuries.
And then you realize why no one gives a shit about Zapp: because literally everyone is going for poisonous divine shield high health low attack murlocs as their lategame build and zapp just becomes a glorified divine shield remover that probably lost you the game since you wasted money going to 6.
who cares about tier 6 tech card, if you get that far you are probably already top 4, although i dont disagree that its probably a good card to go extra distance

Single Zapp is kinda weak, triple Zapp is really nice though. Also pretty good with Edwin, since you can buff it.
