The image difference was caused be one coaster being super smooth and the other not.

Where did you find the grid file for your bottom plate? Found the file, what settings did you use to engrave the image?

Actually pretty cool. The svg seems a bit more detailed than the png.
That’s b/c it is. Svgs are vector files, which are automatically going to be higher quality than pngs (pngs are at the bottom tier in quality out of file types
Do you think it would be a good idea to plug the air vent on the drier exhaust part ?
If I do not have the 4 metal risers but ordered the riser and honeycomb tray from Xtool.. do you think the riser can substitute those 4 metal bars you placed under the wood?

Does it still smell even with the vent too the window?
this is good for engraving and cutting but it is total pants at cutting things like vinyl. that seems like a after thought. my friend still sticks with their cricut for vinyl. also if you are wanting to cut a image out of vinyll that has a few colours to it when you put your image into the software it removes all colour so you can not see what colour sections of the image are supposed to be
Totally agree! I'm sticking with my Cricut for vinyl too!

Did you need an air assist or any other accessories from xtool for this machine? Trying to decide which one I want for my classroom.
If you have a vented place you don't necessarily need a filtration system but if you're working in home (enclosed) then you'll need the filter. I'm getting mine with the filtration system because I'll be doing in-home
Mine machine came with a different mat. Mine doesn’t have the guidelines so I’m having a hard time placing the materials
There are no guidelines. I engraved those on! There is a file in one of the Xtool FB groups that you can use.

What ikea cabinet do you have it on?
Its the Ikea Alex draw unit on casters. The long drawers, about 26 inches!
STAY AWAY FROM THE M1 UNTIL THEY GET IT WORKING WITH LIGHTBURN!!!!!!
Otherwise its just a Glow Forge and Cricket in one box
