Not really sure about the part of the fights will be too long, it really just depends what you bring to the fight, obviously if someone brings 4/5 stacks of pearls or 2 stacks of gaps and a shit ton of exp bottles then ofc its gonna be a long fight but really for the average joe who brings 1 stack of gaps and a shit ton of pots, fights will prob only take around 5 - 10 minutes from my experience on nethpot 10v10s on pvplegacy

You can used waterlogged blocks to make them blast-proof, allowing you to have a fancy base and be able to use crystals near it safely
