I grew up in Kadıköy/İstanbul but now live in Ankara. You took me back to my childhood. Thanks a lot for all the love and excitement you poured over my hometown. By the way, "Moda" literally means "Fashion" which is the perfect name for that neighborhood.

It was the capital city of the Seljuk empire, the Turkish empire that ruled before Ottomans in 1200's. The city is like a time machine.
About your question at 10:00 mark: After a short disruption around the marina, the waterfront goes 40 or so more km's until it reaches the shipyard area next to Pendik. Halfway down in Maltepe there is even a larger park with many more attractions and sports facilities. I love cycling here.

Старата част на мястото много прилича на родния ми град Пловдив, България, защото сградите се строени в края на 18 и през 19 век.
