Kateel or Kateelu is a temple town in the Dakshina Kannada district of the Indian state of Karnataka. It is considered one of the holiest Hindu temple towns in India which is in Mangalore, Karnataka. It is situated on the banks of the river Nandini. One of the must visit places in and around Mangalore.
We recently visited the temple during mansoon, The temple ambience is amazing and Devine.
The beauty of this temple is that it is situated on an islet, right in the middle of the sacred river Nandini. Thousands of devotees visit Kateel on a daily basis to seek the blessings of Goddess Durga Parmeshwari from all over country.
