It can be pretty obvious, but pointing out that the victim was shot first then set on fire on the account of his back no being so burnt, Randy has great observation skills
He is the comic relief of the series. Offscreen he was supposed to be a competent field officer just don't compare him to Monk. But sometimes the writers held nothing back and made him do the most idiotic thing of a cop.
A little detail I like is that Randy is *often* shown to actually be a smart cop, but his talent is usually eclipsed by comedic scenes and by standing next to other smart characters.
I’m so glad that Stottlemeyer found his Trudy. I’m happy for both of them.🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️ I do find it funny how much work Randy put into the music for the wedding.😅
Although Randy is usually the goofy sidekick, he doesn't get enough credit. Not only does he have deep knowledge of police procedure, but he's also good at research and at coming up with practical, step-by-step solutions to problems.
Lol the party scene at Monk's apartment "Monk there's a bathroom in the bathroom" "Where am I supposed to put it Mike?" In the kitchen?" "Monk there's nothing on the pizza" Yeah I ordered plain, no mess no fess"
Stottlemeyer dropping 2 "Holy Monkey!"'s at the crime scene cracks me up. He's so happy to be engaged to his dream girl he forgot he's a homicide investigator.
@@bullshark3771 well actually a 'clip' is a strip of metal that you load bullets into when they are in an ammo container. That's how they come out of the factory. The magazine is what actually goes in the weapon which you take bullets out of the clips to fill. That's right, I 'um actually' d you lol.
I thought at first you were being meta, that you hated when people called this short video a "clip' and not a "episode summary". Then I wondered why you would use "magazine" for a longer form video (like magazine is longer than a newspaper article maybe?) Finally it went click so I instinctively did tap rack bang and all was good.
@@Fatherofheroesandheroines I’m aware of that. I didn’t want to give a whole paragraph long description of history. For example clips were used in WW2 primarily over magazines for the m1 garand because they were lighter and could carry more of them on each soldier and didn’t have to carry around the empty clips and could just be left around. Plus they were cheaper to produce. So yes clips were used to load guns. So yes I just um actually’d you.
I love that they only get a boot and a bottle of rum as evidence, and Stottlemeyer's first instinct is to have Monk look at it. I mean, makes sense. Look at how much he got just from the boot. Oh man, so many factual mistakes in this one. Especially at the end. 1. After firing one in the chamber with no magazine, the slide won't lock back. An empty magazine needs to be present in the magwell. 2. Stottlemeyer called it a "clip". (shudder) I almost couldn't type it. Clips were used in very old guns over a century ago. Modern auto-loader pistols use magazines. SMF Very surprised that the writers of a detective show full of guns wouldn't educate themselves on the basics.
It can be pretty obvious, but pointing out that the victim was shot first then set on fire on the account of his back no being so burnt, Randy has great observation skills

The only part I hate is when he says 'clip' instead of a magazine lol. Still classic though!
Right like cop should know that. Clips exist but magazine is the appropriate term in this case. Clips largely aren’t used and are single use mostly.
