    would that rod paired with a baitcaster work for casting and jigging off docks and piers in the pudget sound?

      @ethanpeltzer perhaps, but it is kind of short for casting and that is not what it is truly designed for. It's a vertical jig rod. If I was casting off docks and piers, I would go back to an 8'6" rod.

    Is it better to be drifting or should I be anchored?
    UPDATE
    Caught a 15 pound keeper today on a p line 2 ounce jig drifting by a pier

      @@samuelonishchenko3576 perfect! I fish from my kayak sometimes too, the trick is to stay over the top of your jig which sometimes is actually easier from a kayak than a boat.

      @@FishHuntNorthwest grabbed some point Wilson and P line jigs caught a 15 pound hatchery chinook and crab
