Once had a really rude teacher, he was condescending, mean, and was horrible at actually teaching us, I was the goth kid and him and I always butted heads I would call him out on his behavior towards my classmates, tell him when his notes weren’t even legible, etc. but I also felt bad for him he was old and lonely only a Camero and a Dog to love, I got him flowers on Valentine’s Day and I got his dog a bag of gifts for Christmas. He was so shocked by the flowers he told me “ no one has ever done something like this for me” I told him “the kids don’t like or respect you because you aren’t kind and you don’t show them respect, maybe you should do something different “ the next year I saw him in the halls and by his class and he was v smiling and seemed happy
With me for the past two years now I’ve always gifted my teachers homemade stickers of themselves saying some phrases that they commonly say. Every year my teachers go nuts over them.
my mom used to be a teacher and she would tell my sister “honestly by the end of my shift as a teacher I could probably pay for your college with the amount of starbucks gift cards I have”
my mom worked at a private preschool and got starbucks and target gift cards, and then she proceeded to take me to a target with a starbucks in it and let me buy whatever i want ❤
My ELA teacher’s also says that and he puts popsicle sticks with our names on it and picks them for who is gonna answer his question instead of ppl raising their hands
I remember one Mother’s Day we made gifts for our moms in class. Had to be 2nd grade. As class ended I left mine on my teachers desk. I came from a home of abuse and my teach was so kind & loving. That Monday she gave me a big hug thanked me for the gift and said she always wanted to be a mum but couldn’t have kids. I’ll never forget her kindness ❤
Me too, adopted stents divorced, left me with out a home, I was11. She knew I’d been walking around down town and sleeping in the max until it stopped running, she gave me a key to her room. Let me keep clothes there, then let me shower at school, since I had her first period, I realized she started staying later than I thought teachers did, and she always had “more food than I need” and split her dinner with me. For two weeks she did this for me. I hope you’re able to have healthy waste of dealing with that trauma, I know it doesn’t just go away. I was open about my story to offer an ear if you need one, sometimes talking to someone who has lived it helps, sometimes it’s not for you, and that’s okay tooo. Either way, I wish you and all the teachers who go above and beyond the beat lives, and happiness.
As a former barista, I can attest, we had so many people buying loads of teacher cards - one even bought ~250(?) in one day. I didn’t even know we had that many, but she called in advance and my friend (who was training someone at the time) rang her up. He was so stressed. I told my supervisor, who was like, “he knows how to load the cards the fast way, right?” And my friend and I went, “wait there’s a _fast way?”_ 😭
I gave my 3rd grade teacher ,who's a really old lady, a panda mug with a lid, since I knew she loved pandas. I saw her walking into her school a little while ago and she still had the mug. It felt so nice to know she still uses it ☺️
I gave my teacher a poster of a singer she liked, a dunkin gift card, and a chocolate. She opened the poster and got so excited she immediately set down the gift card and chocolate and put the poster on her wall. Then gave me a hug 🥺
I would give my teachers hand painted canvases. They all had them hung up or on the board in class. They really enjoyed them all and I miss those teachers

I literally gave my teacher a Starbucks gift card last year because everyday she was like “ooo girl I’m gonna go get me some Starbucks after school is over”
I wish recess/lunch aides would receive gifts too. Even though we don't work a ton, we still need something special dealing with a ton of kids, even if it's only for one hour.
I wasn’t even a teacher just doing a placement for school. Got a really nice gift from one of the kids(parents). It was a few different types of candy and a really sweet card the kid signed and drew a picture. Very thoughtful.
I had a student send me flowers to the classroom for my birthday, even though they were on vacation and I sobbed 😂 the best gift I’ve gotten by far as a teacher.
My mom when I was in elementary school she would get my teachers ornaments for Christmas and then for teach appreciation week she’s get them a snack box
I got my English teacher a mug that said “worlds bestest teacher”…. She loved it and put it on display….. it’s till there a year later. She refuses to drink out of it cause she doesn’t wanna drop ot
During our last two years we (my class) bought a whole basket full of noodles and pesto and wine and other stuff from an Italian supermarket for our main teacher. Everyone put around 3€ in and then we did that for every holiday vacation (smaller ones for Easter and Christmas and a bigger one for the summer break. And of course the biggest one for graduation) She was the nicest teacher ever, she gifted us little hand written cards with chocolates and put them on our tables before an exam and she was just the most supportive teacher ever
This is what I did for my teacher’s gift 1.Ask the teachers what they like the most 2.Think about what teachers will need 3.Start thinking about your gift that you will prepare 4.Buy/Make your gift for your teacher 5.Give it to them on the last 1-2 day of school I made my teachers bookmarks depending on what they said they liked and bought notebooks for them :)
In middle and high school it was always great when teachers appreciation came along. My dad worked in administration, My mom did a few different jobs over the years, and My older sister is an English teacher. None of them drink coffee, but I do, I got so much Coffee
I have a whole bunch of mugs in my house from kids over the years, I never get tired of them haha. However I do have a policy about not eating anything homemade for safety purposes, I will say thank you though and not tell them that I can't eat it. If they ask me later how it was, my answer is always that it was delicious!
My mom is a teacher. She gets Starbucks gift cards and gives them to me because she doesn’t like coffee. She gets mugs and gives them to goodwill. She gets homemade treats and throws them away. Remember guys teachers like gift cards but maybe ask them there favorite place to eat or favorite store before buying. If you give them food, give them store bought.
I work in early childcare and so I always get a ton of Starbucks gift cards lol and I truly appreciate the thought and effort I never go to Starbucks so I end up using them for bribing my family or regifting them when I've been busy lol
Dude to be honest every year this teacher, love him to bits. But he had got him self over 270-280 (found the proper number) ties so I’ve just been slowly adding to it, this year I’m giving him a neon one as it’s the last year I’ll see him I’ve added 1-2 ties to his collection and I hope he gets 365 so it counts every day of the year.
When I was in third grade I gave mrs. O'Connor some fresh caught and smoked salmon. She thanked me and stuck it in her drawer. I didn't see her get it out before we left. It was still there when we got back from Christmas break. It's probably still in that drawer and I'm in my 50s. 🖤
I handmade my teacher a bracelet and made all the charms on it when I was little and I still remember my teacher being more excited about that than the rest of the gifts now I know it’s probably because it wasn’t the same thing they get every year
My moms a baker and after the nervous peering into the box the first Time and being assured that I have had my baking hygiene practice drilled into me from age 8, my college tutors can smell my baking from a mile away. They just appear in doorways with a smile and I’m like okay fine. Only you can make me open the cookies before lunch!
Teacher: Well let's try it out "Teacher throwing money out" Children running around to get the money: HEY HEY GIVE ME THE MONEY NO I WANT IT "Falls down on someone"
I just get my kid's teachers visa gift cards. And then we make a little craft together, like an ornament and I write a nice thank you note for all that they do. Don't forget to show love to the bus drivers as well! They get your babies to and from school and home safe and sound! 😄👍
