Not only that. We have the bees too. Although Onett has the legendary and mythic bees in the game, it doesn't mean that the more common bees are utterly useless. Most bees has their own unique buffs meaning they all have their own good use. Meaningthat even though you dont get that many mythics you can still be good without too many of them.
One thing he didn’t talk about was Rebirthing. Rebirthing if you don’t know resets you back to the beginning but you have a small boost this time so it’s easier. And that is why bee swarm is better. You can’t just play the game for hours and hours and then finally get a 100x boost, you have to use items to get boosts instead. And the best part about using the items is that when you get to the late early game the tools cost these items so you can’t just use them over and over again and have no set back. You have to conserve them. Please pin this so everyone can read it!!
Another thing I found interesting was that Onett actually confirmed that he started the game out with familiarity, introducing normal concepts for a simulator but the farther you get in it brings in new concepts to show that Bee Swarm Simulator is different. This is able to get players engaged effectively, and thus one of the reasons I agree.
Honestly, I think this is a great video point out all the things that we should honor Onett for. The fact he is able to make such simple models to create one of the most well-thought out game masterpieces shows how much dedication. Sure, updates may be infrequent, however, he makes up for the fact that they never let you down.

In my opinion, adding onto the update portion, another thing about Bee Swarm's updates is that they don't come often, but the updates are always super big and special which sorta makes it feel like Christmas (if you understand what I'm getting at), with actual heart and soul put into them. The updates actually feel special and always get you exited for them with things like leaks.
Na it’s literally only for macroing, remember the Roblox outage that had happened today? If you left the game you were unable to join back before the outage. Well bee swarm he 40k while the second most popular game had like under 10k.
If i have to be honest, bee swarm is a good game, until you realise that the update gap was an entire year, half the quests are literally just macroing or afking and half the time the game just feels like a background program. However since its hard to get stuff normally, but easy with macroing, theres a loop where you play the game as little as possible and all the time you do play you are most likely boosting or upgrading.
bee swarm is the first game that I played in Roblox. it was 2018 when it’s just released and I didn’t know that this game is just a masterpiece compare to other “top” games(afk simulators🙃) . and yeah, updates are so rare but it’s no just adding better tools, new bees or something like that, it’s always new mechanics(ROBO CHALLENGE IS CRAZY) also don’t forget about Beesmas. it really feels like a real holiday. in summary, ONETT IS THE GOAT. One important thing everyone forgets about is the sound. The game contains a huge number of sound effects. Ability tokens, items, mobs, dispensers and more. The music also stands out. Remember the same Pop Star and Star Hall.
Honestly, building a hive alone is enough for this game to stand out. Unlike other simulators, you don't have to just take the best equipment you have and grind for another one. Here, every bee matters. Every single bee is either decent at everything or is extremely good at one part. Gifted boosts make you think which ones do you really need. Good beequips basically force you to have bees that go along with it. And the list goes on....
Also something people take for granted, Dialoge, it makes it to where the characters have personally ( granted panda, bbm, sun bear, and gummy bear can be rude or shady) but it’s better that “ oh hello, I’m _____, stare at a wall for 5 seconds” most of the npcs I actively go out of my way to read their Dialoge.
Honestly I do not want to know how hard it was making perks and hive bonuses for each individual bee because think about it in a normal simulator game its like "This pet gives plus 1 attack and coin gathering" but in bee swarm its much more complicated
Amazing video! I've been playing BSS for over 2 years now, I quit multiple times and came back, and I haven't even reached end game yet. It's truly a great game. The video itself is really good, and you stated and described many important statements like graphics, mechanics and tools. Overall 100/100 video, it should get recommended to more people.
I agree that it is an amazing game for new players and continuing players of all ages. Everything in this game always has much to discuss with other players along with lots of thinking, researching, discovering and anticipating updates :) Onett is truly a clever game developer!
The game is pretty fun for players until you reach the point where afk is necessary. In order to gain lots of items and resources to become better, you need to macro. For people who can’t macro, progression gets harder. That’s also why I sort of quit. Due to highschool and how I need to be active in the game (bc i cant macro), for me the game isnt really worth playing anymore, since it’s really hard to progress. I have dark scythe atm, and the only way to make more honey and advance, I need to macro. In order to gain tons of useful resources, I need to macro. So that’s ultimately why I quit, but thats just my opinion. Nonetheless, it’s an amazing game, and I highly recommend it!
Exactly, the 2018 nostalgia hits hard. The game is better nowadays, but the old version can’t be recreated. Eventually it gets to a point where getting a single new tool can cost so much, and a pair of purple and teal boots can take weeks to get, and it’s almost impossible without macro/afk 24/7. No matter how boring BSS gets though, it’s still probably the best simulator out there by a long shot for it’s amazing mechanics, and it doesn’t rely on pets that give absolutely insane multipliers
Not only that but he also refuses to optimize the game (make the game playable with more than 3 hives claimed) so that we have to spend money on private servers. I’m not even joking that might be his main source of income.
Not to mention since he is a solo creator and updates 1 a year, he can really think about what and why he’s going to add something and then take his time and polish it.
another thing is that most games just make it so you have to have a full legendary and mythic hive to make the best money or whatever, but in bee swarm, not all bees are just utterly useless. even basic bee is good for the gifted ability. you need looker bees, bomber bees, etc for a good hive. not just a clump of legendary bees and mythical bees

Balanced diet ( I'm sorry for some people taking offensive to this ) Mythics and legendaries are like burger patty and drinks But you need other things to make it much better You can't replace a rare bee cause its rare You can't replace a gifted stubborn bee cause its not another type of rare ( unless u have lots of Star jellies) Just balance em out

I completely agree to this, but to add on, since the game has simple graphics. Players that have devices that aren't so great for playing most games can also enjoy this simulator without too much problems.
Also, this game isnt pay to win. I love that about this. Pet Simulator X, my ex favorite game is super p2w. It costs 800 robux for a singular excludive pet. In bee swarm, none of that happens. And as you said in Adopt Me and Bedwars, if you didnt play back when it started or a few days after it started, its super hard because there is so much stuff. Bee swarm lets you chill throughout the game, and anybody new can easily get used to this. And with beesmas, it brings everybody old back to see the new content, meaning this game hits over 100K players. Thats huge. Also, you need alot of materials for different things, which makes you have to grind alot. Bee Swarm Simulator is definentally one of the best and most thought out games. You forgot one important fact: Onnett didn't add trading.Main reason of why bee swarm doesn't die is because you can't get help from other players based on your bees or honey. The only way to progress is to YOU play the game and get your gear slowly with your own bare sweat and blood,and that's why bee swarm is amazing.
Fun fact: Onnet makes money from Premium users; Practically Roblox calculates payout based on the share of time a Premium subscriber spends in a experience as a way to reward engaging experiences, witch might explain why he made a effort to make goin afk balanced
and because creators get money when premium players play for a long time and since this game gets addicting and gives people big goals a lot of people start going afk and playing a lot. and because theres a lot of buffs that you can buy with robuc that doesnt destroy the game but still help a lot, a lot of premium players join and play a lot.
I think it’s absolutely amazing what he’s done, but making afking and macroing a part of its design it’s caused it where eventually you’ll need to at minimum afk, you cannot do stump snail without afking until you’re at full endgame and have a trick up your sleeve, it’s nice but I also feel with how far it’s gotten there should bee some implementation of an in game macro that tells you to leave an auto clicker on during it, so you at minimum learn that it’s apart of the game that’s needed, even if it’s basic like walk to field, fill backpack, walk back, empty backpack, repeat, something like that would not only be a bit more helpful but let people know that it’s something that’s apart of the game that will eventually lead to them finding something like natro, obviously I think it should have an unlock requirement, like after you get 30 bees and can talk to onett maybe the first quest would reward you with the ability to do it
Kind of random but other than bee swarm there are/were 2 other games that really stood out for me both kind of being clones of other much bigger outer-Roblox games. One being Islands (formally Skyblock/Skyblox) and the other being Bad business, both games have a charm and something about them that makes me want to play them.
I recently started playing bee swarm again and man I love the beeswarm community, the game is also so fun I already have 40 bees on my new account 2 of which are mythic and ive been playing for just 6 days,

At least this game isn't run by a company that makes its workers give updates every week and gets into sponsorships with other companies without the permission from the original creators of the game that the roblox game is based off. *cough cough Funky Friday cough cough* (In all seriousness, the game is amazing. I am a long time player and you know what, the afk system is really balanced. It's cool that I could leave my tablet/phone/computer on and idle to get cool stuff.)

One important thing everyone forgets about is the sound. The game contains a huge number of sound effects. Ability tokens, items, mobs, dispensers and more. The music also stands out. Remember the same Pop Star and Star Hall.
And its awesome how he made the low tier bees (common, rare, epic) not so useless bcz they all have unique features when they are gifted.
For example, basic bee, literally the most common bee has a great gifted bonus of 1.2x pollen
Also bee swarm has no trading, which makes bee swarm better because then you don't have random noobs getting lots of mythic bees for free.

Honestly, building a hive alone is enough for this game to stand out. Unlike other simulators, you don't have to just take the best equipment you have and grind for another one.
Here, every bee matters. Every single bee is either decent at everything or is extremely good at one part. Gifted boosts make you think which ones do you really need. Good beequips basically force you to have bees that go along with it. And the list goes on....
Also something people take for granted, Dialoge, it makes it to where the characters have personally ( granted panda, bbm, sun bear, and gummy bear can be rude or shady) but it’s better that “ oh hello, I’m _____, stare at a wall for 5 seconds” most of the npcs I actively go out of my way to read their Dialoge.
Honestly I do not want to know how hard it was making perks and hive bonuses for each individual bee because think about it in a normal simulator game its like "This pet gives plus 1 attack and coin gathering" but in bee swarm its much more complicated
Amazing video! I've been playing BSS for over 2 years now, I quit multiple times and came back, and I haven't even reached end game yet. It's truly a great game. The video itself is really good, and you stated and described many important statements like graphics, mechanics and tools. Overall 100/100 video, it should get recommended to more people.
I agree that it is an amazing game for new players and continuing players of all ages. Everything in this game always has much to discuss with other players along with lots of thinking, researching, discovering and anticipating updates :) Onett is truly a clever game developer!
The game is pretty fun for players until you reach the point where afk is necessary. In order to gain lots of items and resources to become better, you need to macro. For people who can’t macro, progression gets harder. That’s also why I sort of quit. Due to highschool and how I need to be active in the game (bc i cant macro), for me the game isnt really worth playing anymore, since it’s really hard to progress. I have dark scythe atm, and the only way to make more honey and advance, I need to macro. In order to gain tons of useful resources, I need to macro. So that’s ultimately why I quit, but thats just my opinion. Nonetheless, it’s an amazing game, and I highly recommend it!
Exactly, the 2018 nostalgia hits hard. The game is better nowadays, but the old version can’t be recreated. Eventually it gets to a point where getting a single new tool can cost so much, and a pair of purple and teal boots can take weeks to get, and it’s almost impossible without macro/afk 24/7. No matter how boring BSS gets though, it’s still probably the best simulator out there by a long shot for it’s amazing mechanics, and it doesn’t rely on pets that give absolutely insane multipliers
Not only that but he also refuses to optimize the game (make the game playable with more than 3 hives claimed) so that we have to spend money on private servers. I’m not even joking that might be his main source of income.

another thing is that most games just make it so you have to have a full legendary and mythic hive to make the best money or whatever, but in bee swarm, not all bees are just utterly useless. even basic bee is good for the gifted ability. you need looker bees, bomber bees, etc for a good hive. not just a clump of legendary bees and mythical bees

Also, this game isnt pay to win. I love that about this. Pet Simulator X, my ex favorite game is super p2w. It costs 800 robux for a singular excludive pet. In bee swarm, none of that happens. And as you said in Adopt Me and Bedwars, if you didnt play back when it started or a few days after it started, its super hard because there is so much stuff. Bee swarm lets you chill throughout the game, and anybody new can easily get used to this. And with beesmas, it brings everybody old back to see the new content, meaning this game hits over 100K players. Thats huge. Also, you need alot of materials for different things, which makes you have to grind alot. Bee Swarm Simulator is definentally one of the best and most thought out games. Onnett didn't add trading.Main reason of why bee swarm doesn't die is because you can't get help from other players based on your bees or honey. The only way to progress is to YOU play the game and get your gear slowly with your own bare sweat and blood,and that's why bee swarm is amazing.

I think it’s absolutely amazing what he’s done, but making afking and macroing a part of its design it’s caused it where eventually you’ll need to at minimum afk, you cannot do stump snail without afking until you’re at full endgame and have a trick up your sleeve, it’s nice but I also feel with how far it’s gotten there should bee some implementation of an in game macro that tells you to leave an auto clicker on during it, so you at minimum learn that it’s apart of the game that’s needed, even if it’s basic like walk to field, fill backpack, walk back, empty backpack, repeat, something like that would not only be a bit more helpful but let people know that it’s something that’s apart of the game that will eventually lead to them finding something like natro, obviously I think it should have an unlock requirement, like after you get 30 bees and can talk to onett maybe the first quest would reward you with the ability to do it
Dont forget how he makes progression so slow and tempts users into buying deals for either 1 bee of some sort or a bundle

Kind of random but other than bee swarm there are/were 2 other games that really stood out for me both kind of being clones of other much bigger outer-Roblox games. One being Islands (formally Skyblock/Skyblox) and the other being Bad business, both games have a charm and something about them that makes me want to play them.
