Are you serious? If so then I feel really bad for LA. That’s gentrified Mexican food. I’m so glad to live in San Diego. The closer to the border the more authentic the Mexican food is (what they say) and I definitely agree. Travel to Mexico and you won’t find tacos made with hard shells, grinded beef, or that cheese. We used soft tortillas, carne (any kind that’s not shredded) and no queso on tacos.
@@akbarshabazz-jenkins7847 nice try? I’m literally Mexican and travel to Mexico frequently. You’re not even Mexican, how are you going to tell me whats authentic when it comes to my bloodline’s dishes?
The only thing better than a Tito’s Taco, is two! It is definitely a right of passage to stand in that line. So glad that you took the time to come to SoCal and enjoy some Tito’s. 💕 There really isn’t a chance for anything to get stale because it’s always so busy there.
If you’ve been in LA for a while you’ll know Tito’s is the spot for mis tier tacos. It used to be cheaper which made it more worth it but with inflation it looks like they have raised their price heavily. The johnnys pastramis right next door is a hidden gem too.
I lived in so cal almost a decade, one of the first things I noticed was how quality most of the food places are. There’s so many people there to compete for their dollar you have to go over the top to keep them coming back!
I lived around the corner from Tito's and the food was great not sure what has happened since moving out of Cali but 15-20 years ago the food was on point there burritos be bussin and they always had a line lol
*Tito's Tacos is a F'ing institution in Cali!* Shocked they raised the prices. I remember when my parents took me there over 20 years ago and it was still busy back then too
Daym, welcome to my neighborhood. The line is always full. I like all meat burritos. Usually people in that place doesn't use yelp, usually people who do yelp there is from people who aren't from there and heard that this place is good and always has line.
I’m an LA native and used to frequent Tito’s for over 20 years. Understand Tito’s is like an In-N-Out of Mexican food. Simple menu and they stay in their lane. Their beef is there signature. Never had a problem and it’s always crowded and hard to park in that area, so get there early if you have no patience.
The food didn’t look bad the taco had a good crunch and didn’t look greasy. I like that they put a good amount of cheese on the taco. The flour tortilla looked really good nice and toasted just how it should be. If this place has good spicy salsa I’d definitely try it. Arizona has a couple good places if you ever want to hit us up.
I ate there for years and still do when I visit. Only ever had the tacos, but NEVER disappointed. Always a line as well, so it's still bringing lots of ppl. Salsa is not the best I agree, bu the pile of cheese on those tacos is bomb!
This place has 4.2 stars out of 5 on Google reviews. This is a decent place. I ate there in 2014 because it was popular and found the food decent. Nothing spectacular, nothing terrible.
It's because people who review on yelp are entitled ignorant people. The type that complain that after using door dash their food is cold and it's all the restaurants fault and they should replace it.
Superrrrr Official!! 💯💪🏾💯 Telling you fam loving these types of videos. Who wants to go to bad review spots? That's why I watch definitely something I'd do right here if I had a channel! Always interesting seeing these joints.
Here are 3 good recommendations the next time you're in L.A. 1) King Taco, for carnitas tacos or burritos. 2) Ramonas for the beef and potato burritos. and 3) Fisherman's Market for bomb seafood 😋 👌
Im glad you reviews it honestly. Just because a place has bad reviews, I always check them out for myself. Everyone has their own taste and it takes one disgruntled customer that has their friends leave bad reviews.
I been going to Tito Tacos for years, the tacos and burritos are delicious! I usually pour their salsa in the taco and its good in my opinion :) Yeah it used to be cheaper and of course their prices are now "gauged " due to the economy but its still worth it for the food. The line is usually long but you get your food within 10-15 mins. You can also order at the windows outside and inside, Im assuming you had to order inside due to the rain or maybe they change the way to order there. Perhaps those individuals that rated low on Tito tacos had better tacos somewhere else but I always liked Tito tacos. The place is well known and is usually busy. I am glad you enjoyed the food, you should try the taco next time with the salsa :)
Bro I must say that I've been a fan of yours for a very long time. Now it brings me pleasure to let you know that my 6yr old daughter can't wait to watch your videos as well. She knows when you like something and knows when it's not hitting. Brings a smile to my face. Appreciate you D. If you see this my daughter name is Quinn Giles.
I worked down the road, place is always popping. One of the most popular places! Was a few years ago, and was bomb. People's expectations and standards definitely be subjective.
The difference in cultures is so interesting. There is maybe 1 shop in the whole city I live in that you can get a taco here in New Zealand. It’s just not something that’s really eaten often here. It’s a ‘sometimes’ specialty food item ya know? Our drunk food is definitely handheld savoury pies. Blew my parochial mind when I first heard they weren’t available widely in the US.
In the US we have pot pies and cheap microwaveable pies widely available. A real meat savory meat pie is amazing and i wish there was more stuff like that here
Not sure how this is being considered as the worst taco spot in CA. This is actually one of my favorites. I moved from Norcal to Socal partly because of this spot.
Yoooo! my boy daym is back at it!!! Loved Fresh, Fried and Crispy and hopefully waiting for that season 2 drop soon!!! Glad to see you still doing your thing and making us all really hungry along the way!
Hey Daym Drops!! I have been eating Tito's tacos for probably 30 years now. Are they the best tacos in LA? Nope.. but what they offer is something unique and is almost a landmark taco joint.. they were supposed to give you a cup of their salsa that you can put on the taco or burrito. It's pretty much very tomato like but for some reason I keep coming back for more. I think that braised beef has a lot to do with it. Glad to see you in my hood. Man literally right around the corner and two doors down is Johnnie's pastrami. Now that place is bussin'!!
_As an Atlantan I even hear about that Johnnies Pastrami spot sometimes so it must be worth it lol.. all i know is In n Out wasn't as good as I thought it was compared to our WhatABurger out east._
@@DoctorRickSanchez I've never had Whataburger but I definitely Love in and out Burger. The thing is you have to order them animal-style otherwise they're nothing too much to brag about.
Only exception to un melted cheese is if it was tacos from taco bell..otherwise my authentic tacos only come with the cilantro and onions with meat no cheese. Perhaps some slices of lime to drizzle on top.
Daym..most of us that have been loyal customers love Tito's Tacos..What is hard to swallow is the fact that the Prices are absolutely ridiculous now. Several years ago your $30 dollars would feed a family of 4..
Man you don't have to bite a freshly made flour tortilla like that its the ends are some of the best parts with afresh and chewy fresh tortilla! You can tell that tortilla is made then cooked to order!
happy to see someone give us here on California some love I agree with the person about the cheese and the internet gotten bad with ppl just out with nothing better to do than be a keyboard warrior we should not judge a place based on reviews because you never konw if the place actually gd
man i watched your viral five guys review video almost 10 yrs ago, and im so happy you are still here. love the last part of your yelp review writing, this is so entertaining to watch!
When my son went to school in California about 8 years ago, he went here because of the reviews. In his words, “nothing but an overpriced Jack in the Box taco.” My father went a year later and was pissed because he wasted his time in line for what he called garbage. And c’mon Daym, a 3 for a “decent taco?” I love you but for that price, a 3 better be good at least!
Tito’s is real shredded beef with freshly grated cheddar in freshly fried shells, not the mystery soy protein mixture and pasteurized cheese product frozen shell Jack tacos… lol. You’re paying for quality at Tito’s.
@@danielmelgar8918 There’s nothing fresh or home made about Taco Bell, atleast Del Taco is a little fresher… Taco Bell is a pre made ground beef mixture and boiled/heated in bags at each store, not fresh shredded beef … and their corn shells are pre made like you buy in the grocery store in a box, not a freshly fried shell like Tito’s. Same with the chips, they’re freshly fried at Tito’s. Also the cheese is freshly hand grated daily at Tito’s.
@@speedracerjeff You said Titos does the same as street vendor. Angelinos agree price and taste don't match. That is the problem that needs a solution. How can the taste match the price? I wait for a 12 dollar burrito that taste great. Why wait for a alright tasting burrito.
Hey Daym! If you are going to Vegas, you have to try Virgil's BBQ. They have their own smokehouse. I never crave BBQ but it smelled so good when we walked by so I just had to try it. So flavorful and tender! Ribs and brisket were amazing!
Hey there...if you going to Vegas, I'm from Guam and you should try our chamorro food @RED RICE. (CHICKEN KELAGUIN, RED RICE, CUCUMBER SALAD AND THE BBQ RIBS) that's the usual dish. Hope you try it out. Enjoy🤙🏼😎
Nice video. Dayum Drops hittin another one. As a SoCal native you gotta try JRs barbecue if you’re in Culver City. Should have had some red hot salsa on the taco and burrito. Try King Taco out here as well. Peace ✌️
In Buffalo, NY where I live it's difficult to find legit, tasty Mexican food. There's a couple small ma and pop places that do a decent job but for the most part, our Mexican food here sucks. I prefer to make my own as it tastes way better. Even the packaged taco kits you can buy at the supermarket turn out better than what most of our local restaurants here can make. It's quite pitiful tbh, wish we had California style Mexican food here.
I'm glad you came to California to see what food we have to offer. Taco looked like something u can make at home and I do prefer melted cheese so 3/5. That burrito I wouldn't touch on my last day that looks horrible 😂
I'm not even joking saying this but it seems like California carries a series of approval that is above high standard. But that's just me. The food looks like solid street food if anything, a quick and filling meal. And all of that for $30. A LITTLE high but nothing to turn your nose at.
Foodie born and raised in Vegas right here, almost second generation. The Strip mostly sucks for food (and $$$), so if you want the good Vegas food, you gotta get off the Strip. For tacos, Taco El Gordo is a MUST TRY. Go with someone to stand in multiple lines (each line gets you different types of tacos). Street Tijuana style, some say the best they've had. Try to get the location on Charleston, not the one on Las Vegas BLVD if you can. Get the Adobada for sure, rest is up to you. For pizza, try Monzu. A little fancy and up scale (you don't need to wear a suit or something, so not THAT upscale), but they use a 300 year old Italian sourdough culture and make some killer Roman style pizza. Get the Mortadella pizza and for appetizer get the burrata bruschetta. Cocktails and wine are both great here. For Chinese food, try China Mama. It's a wait to get in, and can't make reservations so try to go on off hours. get the crispy beef. For a good off Strip scene if you're interested, check out the Arts District. Esther's Kitchen serves some intensely decedent Italian (get same day reservations), lots of good bars and music on the weekends. Jamyland for cocktails and super good Jamaican food. Velveteen for cocktails. Ser Veh Zah and Silver Stamp for beer. CraftHaus, Able Baker for breweries. All walkable.
Hi Daym, I love watching your reviews there entertaining, halerious, and truthful. You need your own TV show. Tito's was the best while I was in my early teens and twenty's. I moved to NorCal thirty plus years ago and love the taquerias up here! The food doesn't look all that different now, in your vid than it did back then. But if you ordered outside, you picked it up at the same window. We're going back to Vegas at the end of March and first few days in April. Our fav taco/mex restaurants are Letty's Mexican Restaurant and Tacos El Gordo by the airport. Cannot wait! Hope your trip is a blast! Ps, make another trip to Austin, but this time, hit up all the food trucks in and around the downtown area! BBQ and mexican breakfast tacos.....................DA BOMB!
Tito’s is a So Cal institution. I been eaten it for 20 years. When you come try King Taco, Johnnys Pastrami, Tommy Burger, Harold and Bells and Oki Dog.
When you are back in LA area, I would appreciate your review of Pioneer Chicken & Jim Dandy Fried Chicken. Also, Arturo's Puffy Tacos...Thanks. Love your videos.
Tito's the worsted reviewed? I lived in Cali most of my life and yeah maybe the service a little slow cause it's always busy but the food is great from I could remember. I think people going there for the first time get a little disappointed and think it's gonna be like your usual food truck/street vendor tacos and that's just not what they've got going on there.
Vegas has multitude of food options. You most include a buffet on your visit, I suggest Wicked Spoon or Bachannal. For breakfast I suggest Black Bear diner or Mr. Moms. For lunch I suggest CrunchCheese or Inn&Out and dinner at Samurai or Cajun Mouth. Enjoy
When you come back to LA County, you HAVE to try Bird Box over in North Hollywood. It's a little out of the way joint, locally owned, but has some of the best wings in LA, with a chicken sandwich to rival the Big Boys. (If you order the sandwich, I recommend the "Krunked Sauce," or the "Sweet Chili." Definitely MY favourite flavors)
Since you're going to Vegas, it would be dope to see you collab with Keith Lee (since he lives in Vegas). You're my favorite food reviewer on YT and Keith is my favorite food reviewer on TikTok! Just wanna see the best of two worlds come together 😄😄😄

Lol. I remember that commercial now
I miss hearing that commercial in the mornings while watching Fox11 news ❤️
My 2cents: it looks good imo and with that many people queuing up they can’t all be wrong. I’m kind of impressed with the size of that burrito.
🎶I love Tito's tacos, you love Tito's too. I love Tito's tacos, what else can you dooOo... 🎶
The real ones know
My wife is from SoCal. She used to tell me about the commercials for this place.
If you’ve been in LA for a while you’ll know Tito’s is the spot for mis tier tacos. It used to be cheaper which made it more worth it but with inflation it looks like they have raised their price heavily. The johnnys pastramis right next door is a hidden gem too.
Johnny's is never talked about. But titos does. Johnny's is the only hidden gem.
Cinco de mayo on the corner between tito and Johnnys is also great and its open 24 hours
@Daniel Melgar Johnny's is amazing, agreed it's the most slept on spot.
I lived in so cal almost a decade, one of the first things I noticed was how quality most of the food places are. There’s so many people there to compete for their dollar you have to go over the top to keep them coming back!
You know it’s a good day when Daym drops that vid!
That taco sounded MAD crunchy!
The salsa is very unique and blended. It's not particularly spicy, but you can ask for a hot sauce which can be mixed with the salsa.
I ate there for years and still do when I visit. Only ever had the tacos, but NEVER disappointed. Always a line as well, so it's still bringing lots of ppl. Salsa is not the best I agree, bu the pile of cheese on those tacos is bomb!
Your consistency is crazy. What a nice delight after work, thanks for the awesome content
Eating a burrito from the middle is just the weirdest thing to me. I just can’t bring myself to do such a thing. Great video though. Blessings!
It may taste alright, but 30 dollars for a combo isn't it.
Oh, thank God I came across this YT channel. This dude is AMAZING! Stellar review 👏
I love watching your reviews.....so real!!!!👍🏽
Me too.
🙋🏽♀️Thanks for sharing...appreciate you trying these places for us...ky
A real meat savory meat pie is amazing and i wish there was more stuff like that here
Thats so cool and interesting! Yes tacos are found literally everywhere just like pizza and cheeseburgers 🤷🏽♀️
in SoCal a handheld meat pie is called an empanada, from the Mexican roots, Often sold at the weekly occurring farmers markets.
@@richardelliott8352 yeah we’ve heard of those here. A kiwi meat pie looks quite different from an empanada. Both yum tho 👍
Look at him homie hitting that burrito from the middle . Taking that risk ! Love it !!
What you bang homie
There are so many food reviews out here these days but daym your commentary is in a league of it's own keep that fire burning!
Never clicked on a video so fast
Same
Love your reviews serious and to the point !
Oh yeah and there is always a line at this joint. They do move people quickly as you mentioned. That Yelp review was spot-on accurate!!
Awesome review, did you get to anything else outside of food when you were down here in SoCal? Come back soon, you are always welcome here!
Only exception to un melted cheese is if it was tacos from taco bell..otherwise my authentic tacos only come with the cilantro and onions with meat no cheese. Perhaps some slices of lime to drizzle on top.
Honestly I love this series. It gives me inspiration to try low rated restaurants near me in my state.
You HAVE to put the green sauce on it! Come on Dame! It takes it to another LEVEL
Daym..most of us that have been loyal customers love Tito's Tacos..What is hard to swallow is the fact that the Prices are absolutely ridiculous now. Several years ago your $30 dollars would feed a family of 4..
Great job Daym!
I love this series so much
Man you don't have to bite a freshly made flour tortilla like that its the ends are some of the best parts with afresh and chewy fresh tortilla! You can tell that tortilla is made then cooked to order!
Yea it looks bomb as hell!
I agree the fact the business was busy since it opened was a really good sign in my opinion.
I always enjoy your videos I always vote for the underdog
If you’re looking for hard shell tacos that will blow you and Tito tacos away you got to try Chuy’s Tacos Dorados in downtown Los Angeles. They are 🔥
Happy to see you come out here to cali. Love your videos.
happy to see someone give us here on California some love I agree with the person about the cheese and the internet gotten bad with ppl just out with nothing better to do than be a keyboard warrior we should not judge a place based on reviews because you never konw if the place actually gd
man i watched your viral five guys review video almost 10 yrs ago, and im so happy you are still here. love the last part of your yelp review writing, this is so entertaining to watch!
It makes me scream the way Daym bites into a burrito. Every. Single. Time. Right in the middle. I don't really think he likes burritos.
Back in the day, Tito's tacos was the bomb!
THEY STILL FIRE OVER PRICED FO SHO!!!🔥🔥🔥🌮🌮🌮💯💯💯
That burrito looked good!
Taco Bell makes the same food. Taco spots taste and are better priced.
@@danielmelgar8918 There’s nothing fresh or home made about Taco Bell, atleast Del Taco is a little fresher…
Taco Bell is a pre made ground beef mixture and boiled/heated in bags at each store, not fresh shredded beef … and their corn shells are pre made like you buy in the grocery store in a box, not a freshly fried shell like Tito’s.
I grew up in Culver City and have gone here since the 80's. This place is amazing.
Enjoy🤙🏼😎
Well, I have to say it looked super yummy to me. Also... line outside? Usually that is a sign that the place is pretty good. :)
Nice video. Dayum Drops hittin another one. As a SoCal native you gotta try JRs barbecue if you’re in Culver City. Should have had some red hot salsa on the taco and burrito. Try King Taco out here as well. Peace ✌️
We in California pride ourselves on having really good mexican food.
We have the best, I've tried other states, and Cali has the best Mexican food...
I remember when the tacos were like $1.50 and the burritos were $3.50
I'm glad you came to California to see what food we have to offer. Taco looked like something u can make at home and I do prefer melted cheese so 3/5. That burrito I wouldn't touch on my last day that looks horrible 😂
The Burrito did look atrocious lol..Taco looked nice that's how I like mine
Melted cheese on a hard shell taco is a big No for me…. Cold cheese is where it’s at.
Foodie fam.. lets unite for this daym drops video!!
Love me some crunchy water 😋
I'm not even joking saying this but it seems like California carries a series of approval that is above high standard. But that's just me. The food looks like solid street food if anything, a quick and filling meal. And all of that for $30. A LITTLE high but nothing to turn your nose at.
Keep it go'n, these reviews are great!
Lol Tito' Taco was hot in the 90s, but I haven't been there in a couple of years but I wish you would have walked across the parking lot too Johnny's Pastrami the Best Pastrami's In L.A. The next time your in L.A can you review Bill's Taco House on Manchester and Van Ness and Fix'in Soulfood Restaurant (some retired basketball player owns it Bomb) its next to the Staple Center you will Love. Thank you ❤
First time watching your videos. Definitely subscribed. Love the content
The first taco reminds me of an Okinawa style taco. It’s really nice cheese really comes through and can save even a mid taco itself.
First time watcher. great vid man!
Awesome channel brother !!!!!!
I live in Cali and when I am in that area, I will stop and get Tito's Tacos "We Love Tito's Tacos... You'll Love Tito's Too" 😋.
When you are back in LA area, I would appreciate your review of Pioneer Chicken & Jim Dandy Fried Chicken. Also, Arturo's Puffy Tacos...Thanks. Love your videos.
That's cool that you were here in LA. Culver city is like 15 min from where I live. Stay blessed brother
Titos is 🗑️🗑️🗑️🚮🚮🚮🚮
Tito's the worsted reviewed?
Been going there almost 50 years, all beef burrito, rice, chips and homemade salsa, geez, get in line if you want great food, that’s it.
Love your vids Daym. Thanks man!
I've always loved Tito's. You just have to order the right items. The burritos slap!
look like enough cheese to cover half a pizza lol
Since you're going to Vegas, it would be dope to see you collab with Keith Lee (since he lives in Vegas). You're my favorite food reviewer on YT and Keith is my favorite food reviewer on TikTok! Just wanna see the best of two worlds come together 😄😄😄
