My favorite performance of Call Me! Actually this might be my favorite Aretha performance ever. The way she improvs on this and how she takes her time on every note pulls on my heart strings. I love the end where she she so sweetly sings "call me the moment...that you get there... (Cousin Brenda"CAOOLL MMEE")Hey... Hey..." (5:30)The Queen never disappoints.

Nothing but soul They say When this song was out BK then Aretha was goin thru it so bad in ha marriage. & You could hear it too long live the Queen of Soul.
Mourn the love, but live in joy, remember her of course, her words, her laugh, even find yourself doing some of the things she did and I laugh about that. Momma told me, when I was a teen, remember GOD loves you even if nobody don’t. That was the best advice she ever gave me because I found that out in this life. GOD is my strength, my joy, my love, because men come and they go, the children love, and don’t really know, but the true lover of the soul is the LORD GOD, be encouraged. John 3 and John chapters 14 thru 17, read it all, and when the LORD finished ministering this to me, I been fine ever since. Be blessed.
She's more than just high notes... she tells the story - i love aretha and her musical catalog.
Yes!! and that's the difference. In every note you feel the emotion, and the story is being told perfectly.
Perfectly! Yes yes yes and that is the difference where as most singers scream the high notes rather then singing them.
Exactly painted a picture with her storytelling voice.
